Note:
When magnets are properly cared for,
they are safe to use and can last a
l fet me. However, the follow ng
gu del nes should be followed wh le

1) Take care not to set magnets near
computers, colour mon tors,
telev s on sets, floppy d scs,
v deo/aud o tape and other
electron c equ pment;
2) Magnets can pose r sk to
electron cs and magnet c storage
med a e.g. cred t cards when
placed n close prox m ty;
3) Magnets may nterfere w th the
operat on of pacemakers, magnet c
valves, etc.
4) Keep magnets away from reach of
ch ldren. If swallowed, consult your
phys c an.

• com ng nto contact w th strong
magnet c f elds (e.g. MRI scanners)

Automatic telephone program
W th AutoPhone funct onal ty, your
REFLEX DP w ll automat cally sw tch to
the telephone program when you
hold a hear ng nstrument-compat ble
telephone handset near to your
REFLEX DP. When you are f n shed
speak ng on the phone and you move
the telephone handset away from the
hear ng nstrument, t w ll
automat cally return to the prev ously
used hear ng program.
You can also select the telephone
program manually by us ng the
program push button.
Your NHS Aud olog st w ll program
your hear ng system to your nd v dual
requ rements.

prefer manual
volume control, your

Low Battery indicator
Your hear ng system may be
programmed to nform you when the
battery should be replaced for best
system performance. You may hear an
nterm ttent ser es of beeps and/or
exper ence low ampl f cat on power or
volume/ change the battery when
e ther of thes occurs.

Power-on delay
Your hear ng nstrument may be
equ pped w th a “power-on delay”
feature.
Th s feature delays sound from enter ng
your hear ng nstrument when t s f rst
turned on, so that you may nsert the
hea ng nstrument nto your ear
w thout exper enc ng unpleasant
feedback (wh stl ng).

Using the push button
Your REFLEX DP can
also be programmed
by your NHS
Aud olog st to be
turned on and off
us ng the program
button.
To turn your hear ng nstrument off,
press and hold the program button for
approx mately 3 seconds. To turn your
hear ng nstrument on aga n, press
and hold the program button for
approx mately 3 seconds. Please note
that when you turn your hear ng
nstrument off us ng the program
button, you must wa t approx mately
10 seconds for the nstrument to reset
before turn ng t back on us ng the
program button.
Selecting the
hearing program
The REFLEX DP can be programmed
w th up to 3 hear ng programs wh ch
are selected w th a program button.
Each t me the button s pressed the
nstrument changes to the next
program, wh ch s conf rmed w th beep
tones. The number of beep tones s the
same as the selected program.

Your audiologist will complete
your program details below:
REFLEX DP w ll always be on
program 1 when n t ally sw tched on.
If your system s programmed for
manual adjustment, the wheel-shaped
volume control can be rotated up
(louder) or down (softer) to select the
des red l sten ng volume.
To ncrease volume, place your ndex
f nger gently aga nst the volume
control wheel and rotate t upward. If
your system s equ pped w th a
warn ng tone for volume control
l m ts, once t s heard, adjust ng the
volume control further n that
d rect on w ll have no effect. To
reduce the volume, rotate the wheel
n the oppos te d rect on.
If your hear ng system has not been
programmed for manual control
adjustment, the volume w ll
automat cally adjust and rotat ng
the volume control wheel w ll have
no effect.
It is possible to connect
accessories through an
audio shoe.
Ask your hear ng nstrument spec al st.
Fitting
Before the aud o shoe can be connected
to the hear ng system the follow ng
steps have to be fulf lled:
1. Open the battery compartment
2. Open the aud o shoe cover
3. Close the Battery compartment
