Disposal of Used Cooker Hood
Before You Begin
All the packaging materials are environment-friendly and
recyclable. Please dispose the packaging materials for
environmental protection to preserve a good environment.
Remove plastic wrappings and discard to avoid suffocation of
children. Keep children away from the packaging materials
and remember packaging materials are not toys.
Discard the used cooker hood which cannot be used any
longer. Remove the power line plug and cut off the power line.
The used cooker hood contains recyclable materials. Dispose
or recycle the returnable materials correctly to protect our
environment.
This unit is approved for use with domestic appliances for
general domestic kitchen ventilating use only. DO NOT use
the unit for other purposes.
Discharging type of this cooker hood is external discharge.
Please read the appended documents including the important
installation, operation and safety instructions carefully. Save
these documents for future reference or delivery to the next
user. Closely follow the instructions set out in the instructions.
All responsibility, for any accidents caused by not complying
with the instructions, is declined.
The operation and installation instruction is applicable to
cooker hoods of different models. You may find illustrations of
features different from your cooker hood.
To assure the correct and safe use of your cooker hood,
please read the operation instruction of your cooker carefully.
If there is any obvious damage to the cooker hood, DO NOT
connect the cooker hood to the power supply. Please contact
the local Siemens home appliance customer service center or
distributor immediately.
DO NOT disassemble this cooker hood. Repair work must be
done by well-trained qualified person(s).

Product Introduction
－DO NOT leave the kitchen when cooking (e.g. French
fries, steak fries) with animal oil or vegetable oil.
The cooker when working generates high temperature.
The incorrect operations may damage the cooker hood
due to the high temperature or cause fires due to the oil
left on the cooker hood.
Before First Use:
Make sure the light bulb, filter frame and oil collector of
the cooker hood are already correctly installed.
In Use:
Overfull oil accumulated in the grease filter and oil
collector increases the risk of fire and influences the
efficiency of cooker hood.
Operate your cooker hoods correctly and safely, and
closely follow the precautions set out in the instructions
of cooker hoods.
DO NOT let children or weak people use the cooker hood
without attendance.
If the light bulb of the cooker hood is damaged, please
contact the Siemens customer service centre to replace
the damaged light bulb to avoid short circuit.
NEVER insert or remove an electric plug with wet hands.
DO NOT drag the wire to remove the electric plug.
After Use:
If the cooker hood is put aside for a long time, please
remove the electric plug as the cooker hood in standby
state still consumes power (≤2W).

This model applies the advanced electronic touch switches and features the easy-to-clean surface
and long operation life.
1. “Fan Power ” button: to turn on or turn off the fan.
2. “Light ”button: to turn on or turn off the lamp. The lamp is controlled individually and is not
affected by any other buttons.
3. “Auto Clean ” button: to enable or disable the auto clean function.
4. “Fan Speed ” button: to control the fan speed.
5. “Delay ” button: to set the delay time of turning of the fan.
6. “Auto Ventilation/Key Lock ”button: to set the automatic ventilation and key lock functions.
7. Cooker and hood linkage function: This sign indicates that the hood has the linkage function with
the cooker. (This sign is not for operation.)

Operation Instruction
1. Turn on the Fan: Press the “Fan Power ” for the first time.
Then the fan runs at the speed 3. The display screen displays
3 . After the fan is turned on, press the “ ”button.
Then the fan speed changes to4, 1, 2,3circularly. (Note: The
number displayed on the screen at this time is a single digit
that indicates the fan speed.)
At this time when the fan is working, the automatic ventilation
cannot be enabled by pressing the “ ” button.
2. Lamp Control: Press the “ Light ” button for the first time.
Then the luminance of the lamp increases until it reaches the
maximum state within 1.5 seconds. If you hold down the Light
button for more than 1 second, the luminance of the lamp
changes circularly. After you release the Light button, the
luminance of the lamp remains in the state of the moment
when you release the button. Press the Light button once
again, the luminance of the lamp decreases until the lamp is
turned off.
3. Auto Clean: After your cooker hood has been used for a
period, the screen displays the icon, which blinks
continuously. It indicates that the oil is too much on the cooker
hood and the auto clean function should be enabled. You
should turn off all the other switches (except the Light button).
Then, press the “Auto Clean ” button to enable the auto
clean function.

Operation Instruction
The auto clean runs for 30 minutes during which the screen displays
the count-down time. After the clean is complete, the screen shows
that the clean ends. If you hold down the button for 3 seconds
after the auto clean has already run for 15 minutes, you stop the clean
in advance. However, if you disable the auto clean function after the
clean has run for less than 15 minutes, the icon will still blink.
When the auto clean is running, the other buttons except the Light
button are ineffective.
When the screen does not display the auto clean icon and the other
functions (except the lamp) are disabled, you can hold down the
“ ”button for 3 seconds, and then press the button again after
the icon blinks. After that, the auto clean function is enabled.
Note: Before the auto clean, please empty your oil collector to prevent
oil from overflowing. When the auto clean is running, do not leave
your cooker hood alone to avoid accidents.
4. Fan Speed control: When the fan is running, press the “ ”button,
the fan speed changes to4, 1, 2,3circularly. (Note: The number
displayed on the screen at this time is a single digit that indicates the
fan speed.)
5. Delay Function: When the cooker hood is working, press the
“ Delay ”button to display on the screen. Every time you
press the “ ” button, the turnoff delay time changes by 1 minute.
The delay time is 00-15 minutes. (Note: The number displayed on the
screen at this time is a two-digit number that indicates the turnoff delay
time.) When the delay time ends, the cooker hood is automatically
turned off and the display screen is also turned off.
If the delay time is set to “00” and is not adjusted within 3 seconds, the
turnoff delay function is disabled.
If you turn off the power switch before the delay time ends, the cooker
hood is turned off in advance.
6. Set the Automatic Ventilation and Key Lock Functions: When the fan
does not work, press the button “ ”, the fan works at speed 1
for 5 minutes per hour. During the 5 minutes, is displayed
and the time is counted down.
The fan rests for 55 minutes after working for 5 minutes each hour. At
this time, the automatic ventilation icon is displayed. After the rest
period ends, the fan starts working once again. Press any button except
the Light button to cancel the automatic ventilation function.

8. Cooker-Hood Linkage Function: The function for your cooker to control you
cooker hood is implemented through the mapping code for the cooker hood
and the cooker.
Note: The sign on the display screen is not for you to operate.
Working condition of the linkage function: The distance between the cooker
and the cooker hood cannot exceed 5 meters. One cooker can be linked to
only one cooker hood.
When you use the mapping code for the first time: Power on the cooker and
the cooker hood. Press the button on the cooker hood for 3 seconds,
the blinks, indicating that it is waiting for the mapping code. Press
the button on your cooker for 8 seconds. After the codes are mapped,
the buzzer of you cooker hood sounds, the on the cooker hood
displays 2 seconds. Then, the linkage function is enabled.
Linkage working: If you turn on the cooker, the cooker hood will
automatically start at speed 3. If you turn off the cooker, the cooker hood
will be automatically turned off in 3 minutes.
When the linkage function is enabled, you can still turn on or turn off the
lamp, adjust the fan speed, enable the delay function, turn on or turn off the
cooker hood, enable the automatic ventilation function, and enable the key
lock function.
When the auto clean is started, the linkage function does not work.
For the details about how to operate the cooker, see the user manual of
cookers.
7. Set the Key Lock Function: When the fan does not work, press and hold the
button for 3 seconds to enter the key lock state. The icon
is displayed (if the key lock button is pressed when the fan is working, there is
no response). To cancel the key lock function, press and hold the button
for 3 seconds to cancel the key lock function.

DO NOT installation this cooker hood. Install work
must be done by well-trained qualified person(s).
If your kitchen is under decoration, please DO NOT
expose the cooker hood to outside as building
materials, dusts, paints and the volatilized gas corrode
and stain the surface of the cooker hood. The cooker
hood must be installed after decoration.
When move and install hood, don’t take glass parts,
avoiding break and loose.
If the power line of your cooker hood is damaged,
please use a special power line or purchase a special
power line from the customer service centre of the
company. The replace work must be done by
maintainers of the manufacturer or maintenance
section thereof.
DO NOT install the cooker hood on a wall made of
inflammable substances such as wood. The wall must
be non-combustible.
DO NOT install the cooker hood above a cooker using
solid fuel.
DO NOT let the cooker hood and other gas
equipments (e.g. gas water heater) share the same
chimney duct.
Take care of the wires embedded in the wall when
drilling holes in the wall to avoid the risk of electric
shock.
The cooker hood follows all the related regulations.
The cooker hood must be grounded. A three pin plug is
provided, and this plug must be inserted in a truly
grounded receptacle. In case of current leakage, a
current loop is formed by the grounding to avoid an
electric shock.
Make sure the power supply system (current, voltage
and connecting wires) in your house can bear the
normal load of the cooker hood.

Install the cooker hood in a dry place and avoid direct
sunlight.
The wall must have sufficient strength to bear the weight
of the cooker hood and an even surface. Thus, the cooker
hood can be installed steadily without shaking.
The cooker hood must be installed right above the cooker
and in the same centreline of the cooker.
The minimum distance between a cooker hood and a gas
cooker is 750 mm.
The minimum distance between a cooker hood and an
electric cooker is 650 mm.
Each cooker hood is equipped with an adjustable hood.
When leaving factory, the inner duct is mounted inside the out
duct. Draw the inner duct upwards when needed. Before
using the inner duct, read the dimensions below.

Determine the installation position of the fixing members
(mounting rail and fixing bracket) on the wall following the
steps 1/2/3/4/5 in the figure. If an adjustable hood is not
needed, skip the steps 5.
Use a pencil or erasable mark pen to draw lines in case
that the lines can not be erased after installation.
When drawing lines, use a leveller to make sure the
cooker hood can be horizontally installed in the following
installing processes.
After determining the installation position of the fixing
members on the wall, use a driller with a diameter of 10
mm to drill holes in the wall.
Insert the accessory plastic expansion pipes into the
drilling holes and fix the fixing members (mounting arm
and mounting bracket) onto the wall with the accessory
fixing screws.

Hang the cooker hood on the mounting rail on the wall to
make sure the cooker hood does not shake or hook off.
Keep the cooker hood horizontal.
Install the accessory fixing screws in the notch as shown in
the figure to prevent the cooker hood hooking off from the
mounting arm.
Each cooker hood is equipped with an expansion exhaust
duct with a diameter of 175 mm. The exhaust duct is 1.65 m
long when completely stretched.
Please connect one end of the exhaust duct to the outlet
duct on the cooker hood and connect the other end of the
exhaust duct to the common chimney duct or the drilling hole
in the external wall (the diameter of the drilling hole is 180
mm).

To make the cooker hood effectively discharge fume in the
kitchen:
1. Bending angle of exhaust duct cannot be smaller than 90°.
2. The exhaust duct can not be bended into a “凹” shape and
the number of the turnings must be reduced to the minimum.
3. DO NOT connect the exhaust duct to an exhaust duct with a
diameter smaller than 175 mm.
4. DO NOT use a duct with a diameter smaller than 175 mm as
the intermediate connecting pipe.

5. If you need to connect the exhaust duct to the common
chimney duct, DO NOT deeply insert the exhaust duct into
the common chimney duct in case that the resistance
increases when exhausting.
6. If you need to connect the exhaust duct directly outside the
wall, a shutter (purchase additionally) is recommended to
be mounted at one end of the exhaust duct to prevent the
external wind from flowing back inside. Meanwhile, make
sure the exhaust duct extending outside the wall by 30 mm.
7. The flue can not be public with other fuel smog.
Common chimney duct directly discharge outside the wall
Fix the decoration hood and adjustable hood on the cooker
hood according to the figure.
1. Insert out duct and inner duct vertically into cooker hood。
2. Draw the inner duct out of the out duct and secure it to the
fixing bracket。
Install the oil collector into the hole of the filter frame then
turn it due to the arrow mark。

After installation, clean the surface of the cooker hood.
Then, insert the electric plug of the cooker hood into the
receptacle. Test run operation is performed according to
Pages 5,6 in the “Operation Instruction”.
Pull off the electric plug before cleaning or maintaining
the cooker hood.
Wear protection gloves when cleaning or maintaining the
cooker hood, to prevent your fingers being hurt in
cleaning.
DO NOT flush the cooker hood directly with water.
The cooker hood should be cleaned regularly depending
on the use frequency and surrounding environment to
keep a good exhausting effect and have a longer service
life.
Clean the Filter frame
The grease filter should be cleaned weekly. For cleaning,
a soft cloth can be used to clean the external surface.
Clean the Inner frame
A soft wet cloth is used instead of a hard object or steel
wire ball.
Clean the outer Shell
Use neutral abradant-free to clean the surface.
please clean glass surface use special cleaner.
DO NOT use grinding sponge, sand cleaner, soda, acid,
chloride etc. to clean the stainless steel surface.
DO NOT use any tool (e.g. steel wire ball) that may easily
damage the surface to wipe the cooker hood.
DO NOT use powerful detergents such as toilet
detergents to clean the cooker hood.
Clean the filter layer
Tweak the screw to fixing the filter, take down filter, soak
filter layer in water with cleanser for about ten minutes.
Then use the cloth wipe the surface.

When the oil takes up two thirds of the oil collector, the cup
should be cleaned in time in case that the oil spills over.
Detach the cup according to the figure.
Dangerous!!!
The hood have risk to build a fire, if your cleaning don’t accord
to user manual.
Before calling service, check the possible explanations below.
If these solutions fail, remove the electric plug of the cooker
hood and contact the customer service centre.
If the following phenomena occur, please remove the electric plug
of the cooker hood and contact the customer service centre.
Irregular operating sounds are heard when the cooker hood is
turned on.
Abnormal phenomenon or vibration occurs during the operation
of the cooker hood.
Abnormal phenomenon such as abnormal smell, smoke and
heat-generating occurs.

When cleaning things around the cooker hood (such as
ceiling, cabinet) which maybe touch the hoods, please
wear protection glove or take other protection methods
to prevent be injured.
If your cooker hood works improperly, check the
possible explanations in "Abnormal Phenomena &
Troubleshooting" before calling service. If the maintainer
finds the cooker hood has no trouble, you should pay
certain fees even if your cooker hood is within the
warranty period.
If you cannot shoot the troubles, please remove the
electric plug of the cooker hood and contact the
customer service centre.
When calling service, please have E-Number, SER No.
and Production Date of your cooker hood ready to avoid
troubles and extra pays. The information is located on
the label of the cooker hood.

In accordance with the “Regulations Regarding Responsibility for the
Repair, Replacement or Return of Commodities”, the cooker hood is a
home appliance, the main parts have a warranty period of three (3)
years and the entire product has the warranty period of one (1) year.
Home appliances bought for producing, commercial purposes, using in
the companies etc. the main parts thereof are warranted for three (3)
months unless other agreements are regulated in the purchase and
sales contract.
The warranty conditions for the products on sale are the same as the
above, and the parts on sale not included in the warranty.
During the warranty period, the user must hold the effective purchase
invoice of the product sent to be repaired and the relative warranty
voucher of repair, replacement and refund designated by the factory
when sending the product to be repaired. The warranty voucher period
starts from the date of the invoice. The user must save the warranty card
and purchase invoice in safety place. When sending the product to be
repaired, the user must show the warranty card and purchase invoice. If
the user has lost the purchase invoice, the warranty voucher period
should be calculated from the date of leaving the factory.
According to national regulations, the following items are not included in
the warranty period and they require extra pays:
－the product is damaged due to improper handling, installation, use,
repair and keeping on the part of the user.
－the product is damaged as the supply voltage is lower than 187 V or
higher than 240 V.
－the product is dissembled and repaired by the user or by a non-
authorized warranty centre.
－the user fails to provide the warranty voucher and the purchase
invoice.
－the serial number of the warranty voucher defers from the product to
be repaired or is altered.
－the product is damaged by irresistible forces.
－the product has exceeded the warranty period.
－any damage or loss caused by the operating environment of the
product, such as power supply, water source, temperature and humidity
that exceed the control capacity of the company are not included in the
warranty.
