Use the Up/D wn arr w butt ns t select the desired anal g input range. NOTE: INPUT TYPE MUST
BE CO-ORDINATED WITH INPUT SELECTOR SWITCH LOCATED ON THE BOTTOM OF
THE CIRCUIT BOARD (See Appendix ‘A’).
NOTE: If the application is linear between minimum input signal and maximum input signal, i.e.
“2 point”, then scroll the cursor to ‘NEXT’ and press ‘ENTER’ to continue the scaling process.
Note on non linear inputs
The Myriad ffers a 20 p int linearizer which all ws the user t cust mize the indicated display f r 20

tank with d med end caps. a “strapping table” must be created t all w the display t be linear with the
resultant n n-linear input signal.
If the user required a n n-linear display, scr ll the curs r t “# OF POINTS” and use the arr ws t
select the number f calibrati n p ints required, then select ‘NEXT’ and press ‘ENTER’ t c ntinue.
DECIMAL POINT SELECTOR SCREEN
The curs r will be p siti ned ver the decimal c unt wind w, use the Up/D wn arr w butt ns t

This will bring up the scaling wind w f r anal g utput P int 2, which is set as bef re. When c mplete,
scr ll t ‘DONE’ and press ‘ENTER’ t return t Menu 1.
DIGITAL OUTPUT PROGRAMMING
The Myriad LC1 has 2 relay utputs, which can be c nfigured t ‘SET’ (turn n) and ‘RESET’ (turn ff)
at a user defined value f the input. Fr m Menu 1 select ‘OUTPUTS’ and press ‘ENTER’.
Using the butt ns scr ll t the value at which the utput ‘SETS’ r turns n, with this value highlighted,
use the Up/D wn butt ns t enter a value f input t activate the utput. Scr ll d wn t the

NOTE: The internal HORN will sound when the output setpoint is reached. To prevent the horn
from sounding, highlight the ‘Y’ symbol adjacent to the horn symbol and use the Up/Down buttons

to change the value to ‘N’ (NO). This will prevent the horn from sounding when the setpoint is
reached.
Once all values are selected, scr ll t ’NEXT’ press ‘ENTER’ t m ve t the #2 setp int screen and

s ftware revisi n level is sh wn in the right hand l wer c rner.
Press ‘ENTER’ t return t ‘MENU 2’.

MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLE SHOOTING
MAINTENANCE:
The Myriad LC1 is a digital s lid-state device which requires n peri dic maintenance.
Occasi nal physical checks f the unit sh uld be carried ut f r physical and mechanical security f
m unting, terminal bl cks, and electrical wiring.
TROUBLE SHOOTING:
UNIT ‘LOCKS UP’ – Recycle p wer t the unit by rem ving AC p wer, waiting 10 sec nds and
rec nnecting p wer.
.
LCD display g es dim r c ntrast is p r. Rem ve p wer fr m the unit, release the 2 rear m unting
screws and slide the unit f rward in its case appr ximately 1 inch. On the left side f the circuit
b ard is an adjustable p tenti meter. With a small screwdriver adjust this “p t” t all w alter the
c ntrast t the desired am unt. Return the unit t its n rmal p siti n and secure the rear screws.
DISPLAY REMAINS AT ZERO OR SHOWS NO CHANGE -- If the display remains at zer r
sh ws n change but the pr cess is changing, check f r D.C. v ltage n the l p. With 2 wire
(4/20MA) instruments check with a D.C. v ltmeter at the level instrument, by disc nnecting the level
instrument fr m its 2 wires and measuring acr ss these 2 wires with a D.C. v ltmeter f r the presence
f 24VDC.
If D.C. v ltage is present, rec nnect the negative wire f the supply and insert a milliamp meter
between the p sitive wires. The l p sh uld pr vide a signal between 4 and 20 MA. If n current is
present r Y current exceeds 20MA c nsult the level instrument supplier.
If D.C. v ltage is n t present check the user supplied p wer supply r if using the Myriad supply
measure acr ss terminals 24VDC and A/C. If n 24VDC is present c nsult fact ry. If 24VDC is
present check field wiring between the Myriad and the field device and recheck ‘SCALE’ functi ns t
insure c rrect setup.
NOTE: This should be done by using the user provided circuit breaker or fuse,
not by removing the power wires at the terminal block. Serious injury or death
can occur if contact is made with the incoming ac power.
