MAGNIFICATION
The indication ofthe lens as "1:xx"
on afocusing distance scale representthe magnification (commonlycalled
the reproduction ratio).Forexample when you are in focus at the"l:3"position on the scale, a subject with an
actual size of 3cm will have an image size of 1cm on the film.(fig.O)

LENS
HOOD
A bayonet type detachable lens hood is provided with lens. The lens hood helps prevdnt flare and ghost
images caused by bright illumination from beyond the sub.'ectarea.When attaching, be sure to turn the hood
to its fully locked position(fig.6).
Owhen mounting or removing the lens hood, the lens should be in the manual tocus mode in order to avoid
the damage to the lens or camera.
awhen taking photographsusingthe built-in flash,it isadvisable to removethe lenshoodso asto avoid cutting
off any ol the flash output, which could cause a shadow in the picture.
