USE
The term „Combination lter“ means that it is an anti-gas lter that also
contains aparticulate lter.
THE OF-90 NBC COMBINATION FILTER
type A2B1E1P3 D R in combination with asuitable chemical protec-
tive mask, the OF-90 NBC filter forms aperfect protection of the in-
dividual against chemicals listed in the filter label, especially against
solvents, cyclohexane, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulfide, chlorine,
hydrogen chloride and the like. Other chemical substances and their
compounds are listed on the website of SIGMA Výzkumný avývojový
ústav, s.r.o. (Research and development institute).
The particulate lter part of the combination lter removes harmful solid
and liquid particles, biologically solid and liquid aerosols, radioactive ae-
rosols, dusts, bacteria and viruses from the passing air.
ATTENTION!
The lter must not be used:
- against carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2),
nitrous oxide (NO) and nitrous oxide (N2O)
- in an explosive atmosphere,
- in an environment with an oxygen volume (O2) less than 17%
The anti-gas part of the lter complies with class 1 and 2 according to
EN 14387+A1 - concentration of test gas (pollutants) up to 0,1; respecti-
vely 0.5% of volume in air.

issued by Výzkumný ústav bezpečnosti práce (Research Institute of

ATTENTION!
The lter must not be used at higher concentrations of pollutants.
The particulate part of the lter complies with class 3 according to
EN 143+A1
ATTENTION!
The real time of use of the lter cannot be determined in advance
due to anumber of factors that affect it. These include, in particular,
the type and concentration of pollutants, humidity, temperature, flow
and pulmonary ventilation of the user (working intensity).
PRINCIPLES FOR USING THE FILTER
1. The user should know the type of pollutants and their concentration
which the lter intends to protect against.
2. Visually inspect the lter before using it. The lter must not be mecha-
nically damaged.
3. Before opening the protective cover of the lter, check that the thread
marking corresponds to the thread on the mask to which it is to be
attached.
4. After opening the protective cover and before using the lter, remove
the thread cover and the inlet to the lter.
5. Screw the lter into the mask and, after tting it, check the tightness
of the threaded connection by clogging the lter inlet with your hands.
When inhaling, the mask must not be sucked in.
6. The lter can be used in the temperature range from - 30 ˚C to + 70 ˚C.
ATTENTION!
If the user detects an increase in respiratory resistance during
use, the lter must be replaced.
If the user smells achange in air quality, the lter must be repla-
ced immediately.
The odourless gas lter must always be replaced after each use.
MAINTENANCE AND REUSE OF THE FILTER
If the lter is used only against particles, the lter can be used repeatedly
(symbol R). In this case, close the lter with caps after use to prevent po-
lluting or contamination of the surroundings. Thoroughly clean the lter
or disinfect the surface of the lter, put it in its original packaging and
store it in asafe place.
WARRANTY
The manufacturer guarantees the full functional performance of the l-
ter in undamaged packaging and in compliance with the storage conditi-
ons until the date stated on the lter label.
STORAGE
The lter must be stored under the prescribed conditions at atempe-
rature from -10 °C to + 50 °C and arelative humidity of 0–95 % RH for
amaximum of 10 years.
ATTENTION!
Improper storage and/or broken protective packaging may reduce
the protective capacity or cause irreversible damage to the lter.
DISPOSAL
Waste generated before and after the use of protective lters or after the
end of product life must be disposed of in amanner as environmentally
friendly as possible, recycled to the largest possible extent and disposal
must be in accordance with the requirements of the legislation - EN ISO
14001:2016 Environmental management or legislation and the legislati-
on of the user country.
