Before use
Note: The product may be powered using the
built-in rechargeable battery or the plug-in mains
adapter.
Remove all parts from the package.
Charging
Note: Before first use, the rechargeable battery in
the product should be charged for at least 90 mi-
nutes. A charging time of 90 minutes is also requi-
red subsequently.
The product can be charged directly or indirectly by
using the charging base 6.
Note: The charging process is shown on the
display of the charging display 9and the
battery-status display 10 .
Direct charging (see Fig. C)
To avoid injuries and damage to the product,
always switch the product off before charging
the battery (ON/OFF switch 3b set to the
„0“ position).
Insert the cable plug of the plug-in mains ad-
apter 7into the socket on the underside of
the product.
Insert the plug-in mains adapter 7into a
socket which meets the product requirements.
Indirect charging (see Fig. D)
To avoid injuries and damage to the product,
always switch the product off before charging
the battery (ON/OFF switch 3b set to the
„0“ position).
Connect the cable plug of the plug-in mains
adapter 7with the charging base 6.
Place the product into the recess of the char-
ging base 6with the cutting unit 1pointing
upwards.
Insert the plug-in mains adapter 7into a
socket which meets the product requirements.
Note: During the charging process, the red
charging display 9will light up and the battery
status display 10 will show the battery level.
Note: As soon as the battery is charged, the
battery status display 10 will switch off, while the
charging display 9will continue to be red.
Note: You can use the product for up to approx.
60 minutes with a full battery without it being
connected to the power supply.
Note: When the battery is almost empty, the char-
ging display 9on the display will flash. Then, the
product may only be used for a short period of
time without being connected to the power supply.
Operating using the plug-in mains adapter
If the product stops working during use due to an
empty or insufficient battery, you can continue if
the plug-in mains adapter is connected.
Insert the cable plug of the plug-in mains ad-
apter 7into the socket on the underside of
the product.
To avoid injuries and damage to the product,
always switch the product off before connec-
ting to the plug-in mains adapter 7.
Insert the plug-in mains adapter 7into a so-
cket which meets the product requirements.
After a few seconds you can switch on the pro-
duct by pressing down the travel lock 3a and
sliding the ON/OFF switch 3b into the desi-
red position for the desired speed. If the pro-
duct does not start working immediately,
switch it off by sliding the ON/OFF switch 3b
to the „0“ position. Wait approx.
1 minute before you try to switch it on again.
Oiling the blades
It is recommended that you oil the blades before
first use and after cleaning to guarantee complete
functionality (see Fig. E).
Apply one or two drops of blade oil 14 bet-
ween the blades and distribute them evenly.
Wipe away any excess oil using a cloth.
You can also use any acid-free oil such as
sewing machine oil.
