MODEL SPM-1

The Sima PowerMax Plus (Camcorder
Battery Quick Charger and Reconditioner)
will discharge and then automatically quick
charge virtually all nickel cadmium VHS-C
and Bmm camcorder batteries. The dis-
charging process eliminates any battery
memory, thereby allowing the battery to
be charged to its maximum capacity.
The PowerMax Plus can be powered using a
standard AC outlet or, on the road, from a
cigarette lighter socket in your automobile.
A battery adapter tray is provided that will
allow you to use the unit with practically
all 6V camcorder batteries.
Instructions
1. Determine what type of battery you
have and install it in the unit. If the
adapter tray is required, install the tray in
the unit first and then install the battery.

To install the adapter tray align it over the
slots and push it forward until it snapsin
place.
2. Depending on which method of charg-
ing you are using, either plug the cigarette
lighter plug into the socket in your car or
plug the AC plug in an outlet after the

small plug is inserted into the unit. The
power light will come on. The unit will
beep once and begin charging the battery.
3. If you want to discharge the battery
first, depress the discharge button and the
discharge LED will flash. Your battery is
now being discharged. When the battery
has been discharged to a safe level, the
discharge LED will go off, the charge light
will come on and the unit will beep and
begin charging the battery.
4. As the battery is charging the Charge
LED indicator will light.
5. When the charge cycle is completed, the
unit will beep for about 10 seconds and
the Full LED indicator will light.

It is advisablethat the automobile
engine is running while charging
your camcorder battery.
NOTE'
Batteries with built-in charge
indicators may not work properly
with this charger
Use this product on a
flat. heat-resistant
surface.

Sima ProductS Corporation warrants this product
against defects in materials and workmanship for a
period of 90 days from the date of purchase. During
the warranty period, the product will be repaired or
replaced, at Sima's option.

2. This warranty is void if any defectS are caused by
abuse, misuse, negligence or unauthorized repairS.
3. All liability for incidental or consequential damages

sion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you
specific legal rightS, and you may also have other
