ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
*** IMPORTANT ***
This light fitting should be installed by a registered electrician
Motion Detector Head AdjustmentDetection Range:
WALK TEST PROCEDURE
MASKING THE SENSOR LENS
KNOB SETTINGS
TIME CONTROL MODE
LUX Knob Setting
Recommended installation height is 2.5m above ground,
the maximum detection range about 12m and at angle of
about 80 degrees. Up to 3m range, detection angle is
about 180º.
Adjust the sensor to point in the required direction. Adjust time knob to lowest setting. Turn the power to the unit on.
The lamp will illuminate for approximately 30-60 seconds. The unit is now in Test Mode. Walk across the detection area to
determine the trigger zone and adjust aiming of sensor to suit. Left unactivated for 60 seconds, the light will switch to
AUTO Mode, confirmed by red LED scrolling left and right.
To restrict the sensor coverage, preventing detection in unwanted areas, mask the sensor lens using the masks provided
in the accessory pack.
• When setting the Lux knob at “MOON”, PIR
activation will only operate in the dark.
• When setting the Lux knob at “SUN”, PIR
activation will operate at any light level.
TIME Knob Setting
• You can set the time knob from 3 sec to about 7 min,
LED floodlight will turn ON the lamp, for the time duration
set after each detection movement.
Toggle the internal wall switch 3 times (off/on off/on off/on) within 3 seconds.
A single flashing red LED at the top of the sensor head indicates Time Control Mode. The unit
will now illuminate for a user defined time between 1 and 8 hours. The time can be set by rotating the
centre adjustment knob as required. (The adjustment knob is identified by the letter T inside a circle.)
Do not adjust this setting if you do not wish to use the Time Control Mode facility.
This time adjustment is preset to 1 hour. Please note: Fully clockwise is 8 hours, fully anticlockwise is 1 hour.
After the defined period has elapsed, the unit will return to Sensor Control Mode and operate as previously set up and the
three scrolling LED's will illuminate from left to right.
Time Control Mode is different to Manual Control Mode in that it will NOT reset to Sensor Control Mode at dawn, it will
repeat each night until reset by the user. To cancel Time Control Mode, toggle the internal wall switch once (Off/On) within
one second. The unit will turn to Sensor Control Mode indicated by the scrolling LEDs.
The detector head can be 20º turned left or right by hand,
it can be tilted 60º downward.
Do not use the adjuster knobs to turn the detector head.
Note:
Make sure sensor head is
positioned with control knobs
facing towards the ground to
maintain IP rating.

This light fitting is rated to IP44. This means that it is suitable for use in
sheltered exterior locations. Please ensure the desired location does not
exceed this rating.
When deciding on location of your light fitting, be aware that PIR sensors are
more sensitive to movement across the detection zone, and less sensitive to
movement towards the sensor.
For your information, the top section of the lens
covers long range detection, the bottom covers
short range. Similarly the left and right lens
sections cover the left and right detection areas
respectively.
