3. SETTING UPTHE MACHINE HEAD

WARNING:

work
by
two
persons or

re when the
machin
e is moved.

Attach oil-drain funnel 0 to the oil-drain section
(2513)
on the table using the woodscrews.
2. Attach studs
f)
(both sides are threaded.) to the machine base.
3. Put machine base felt pads (4 pes.) 8 on the four holes of the table.
4. Put the machine base
on
them, and tighten itfrom the under side of the table using nut 0 to fix it.
5. Hang S-shaped metal fitting 0 on starting link 0 attached in the rear of the mac
hi
ne
base. Then connect it with
chain 0 ,and attach itto the start pedal.
6. Putting cushion 0 into hinge0 ,insert hinge 0 into the machine head. Then, place the machine head on the
machine base.
7. Then, adjust the wire-netting of the pump suction hole so that it comes belowthe bed screw stud by 2 to 3 mm.
(The height can be adjusted with 0 .)
8. After placing the machine head, adjust the starting link adjusting bolt as stated below. After confirming that the
sewing machine is in the stop motion state, push starting link

this time, adjust with nut ® so
that a clearance of 0.5
to
1 mm is provided between
