SmartGate control unit
The accessories are intended for professional fitting. ŠKODA AUTO recommends that they are
fitted by a contractual partner.

Mounting procedure
When fitting the components, the vehicle battery should be disconnected (in vehicles with a
coded radio, first request the code).
The individual components are removed and refitted according to the instructions in the
ŠKODA repair manual.
Remove the following components:
› The interior sill trim (on the driver's side),
› The lower A-pillar trim panel (on the driver's side).
Loosen the following components:
› Retaining bracket,
› Central control unit.

› The connection diagram for the SmartGate wiring harness (B) – hereafter simply referred
to as the wiring harness (B).

› Move the driver's seat backwards.
› Guide the wiring harness (B) under and out from the driver's seat (between the floor cover-
ing and the damping piece), past the ridge on the seat-adjustment mechanism and through
to the vehicle's existing electrical installation that is routed on the door sill.
› Guide the wiring harness parallel to the vehicle's existing electrical installation to the lower
A-pillar.
Note. Carefully route the wiring harness (B) and use the cable ties (F)
to secure it to the vehicle's existing electrical installation roughly in
the area shown in the figure.

› Plug the wiring harness connector (B) into the control unit (A).
› Stick the control unit below the driver's seat in the area shown in the figure (using the
hook-and-loop fastener that is located on the underside of the control unit).
Note. When fitting the control unit, always check the firmware
version. Update any old firmware.

Earth connection
› Connect the brown wire with the loop to the earth screw on the lower A-pillar. Tighten the
nuts to the specified tightening torque.
Connecting the wires for the wiring harness (B) to the retaining bracket and the
BCM control unit (connection diagram, fig. 2).
Use the tool in the cutter set to remove all necessary wires and connect them to the wiring
harness (B) as follows.
Retaining bracket.
› Use the 2-pin connector (C) to connect the red/yellow wire on the wiring harness (B) to the
wire on the fuse outlet in connection point SB 14.
BCM central control unit.
› Connect the orange/black wire to the orange/black wire in connector C – PIN 44.
› Connect the orange/brown wire to the orange/brown wire in connector C – PIN 45.
› Connect the orange/green wire to the orange/green wire in connector C – PIN 46.
› Connect the orange/brown wire to the orange/brown wire in connector C – PIN 47.
Connect the removed lines to the 6-pin protection plug (D) in accordance with the wiring dia-
gram in fig. 2. Pull the damping piece (E) over the wired connector and connect the connector
to the corresponding connector on the wiring harness (B).
After connecting all of the wires, carefully route the wiring harness (B). Coil the excess
length of the wiring harness into a flat loop. Then use the cable ties (F) to secure the
wiring harness and this loop to the vehicle's existing electrical installation roughly in the
area shown in fig. 5.
Check that all the wires of the wiring harness (B) are securely attached and seated. The
wires must be secured in such a way that they cannot become loose or damaged and so
that no interference noise occurs while driving. Secure the wiring harness in the area un-
derneath the console with the utmost care so that it cannot become loose. This prevents
it from colliding with other components that are located underneath the console
(knee airbag, pedals, etc.).
Refit all of the components that you removed earlier and tighten the respective connec-
tions to the specified tightening torques. Connect the vehicle battery and carry out all
steps for disconnecting and reconnecting the battery (see Repair Manual).
After completing the installation, activate the SmartGate control unit. When handing the
vehicle over, the customer must be made aware of how the SmartGate control unit works.
Give the “SmartGate communication” information sheet to the customer.

SmartGate communication
Dear Customer,
Before using SmartGate, please carefully read through all of the information and safety
information that is listed in this section. If anything is unclear, contact a ŠKODA AUTO
partner.
This section can be ignored if the SmartGate operating instructions are included in the
Owner’s Manual for your vehicle.
› SmartGate is a system that transmits vehicle data via WiFi.
› The ŠKODA applications that are installed on a connected communications device (e.g.
telephone, tablet, notebook) provide the opportunity to further process any data that is
received. (The ŠKODA applications support communications devices that have the following
operating systems: Android Version 4.x.x or higher, or iOS 7.x.x or higher.)
› You can find available applications and additional information on the ŠKODA websites.
Caution. You must observe the relevant national statutory provisions
regarding the use of mobile communications devices in vehicles.
The device that is to be connected and its holder must not be fitted
on the airbag covers or in the immediate vicinity of the airbags’ de-
ployment area.
The connected device must never be left in the airbags’ deployment
area, on a seat, on the console or any other place from which it can fly
off in the event of a sudden braking manoeuvre, a change in driving
direction, an accident or a collision – there would be a risk of injury in
these cases.
Note
› The range of the WiFi signal is restricted to the vehicle interior and the area in the immedi-
ate vicinity of the vehicle.
Connecting to SmartGate
The following conditions must be met to ensure that the connection is successful.
The WiFi setting is switched on in the device to be connected.
The ignition is switched on.
Establishing the connection
› Search for available WiFi networks on the device that is to be connected (refer to the oper-
ating instructions for the device that is to be connected).
› In the menu for the networks that are found, select the connection to the “SmartGate_...”
network (the “...” here shows where the last six symbols of the vehicle identification number
are displayed).
› Enter the password.
› The password is preset at the factory and is the entire vehicle identification number (en-
tered in upper case).
Disconnecting from the network
You can disconnect from SmartGate using one of the following methods.
› By disconnecting from SmartGate on the connected device.
› By switching off the WiFi on the connected device.
› By switching off the ignition and removing the ignition key for longer than 5 seconds (for
vehicles with a starter button, this is achieved by switching off the engine and opening the
driver’s door).

Automatic connection
The connection to SmartGate is automatically re-established under the following condi-
tions.
› The WiFi setting is switched on in the device to be connected.
› The ignition is switched on.
› The device to be connected saves the password that is required to check the connection.
Connection problems
If the connection fails, check the following points.
› Have the conditions for a successful connection been met?
› Is SmartGate included in the list of available WiFi networks?
› Was the required password entered to check the connection?
› Has the password required for checking the connection been entered correctly?
› Is the device to be connected still connected to another WiFi network?
If all of the above points are OK and the connection still fails, contact a ŠKODA partner.
Note
With SmartGate, you can connect up to four devices at the same time.
SmartGate website
A special website is available for the SmartGate system.
Enter the following address in the web browser of the device that is connected.
HTTP://192.168.123.1
This website contains information about the vehicle, the WiFi connection and SmartGate. You
can adjust the settings for the WiFi connection under the “Configuration” heading.
Saving changes to the settings
The changes to the settings are only noticeable after you have carried out the following
steps.
› The changes are saved by pressing the “Save” button.
› SmartGate is restarted by pressing the “Reboot” button.
After disconnecting the control unit from the power supply, all the parameters (including
the changed password) are reset to the factory settings.
Password management
The passwords can be managed on the SmartGate website via the connected device (see
above for the address).
Any changes made will only be noticeable after they have been saved and SmartGate has
been restarted (“Saving changes to the settings” – see above).
Changing the password
Go to the “Configuration” heading in the “WPA/WPA2 key” menu item and enter a new pass-
word. The password must contain 8-17 characters without diacritics or special characters (e.g.
+, -, /, etc.).
Connecting without a password
Go to the “Configuration” heading and select the “Open” option in the “Security” menu item.
Forgotten password
If you have forgotten the password, SmartGate must be restored to the factory settings in a
specialist workshop by disconnecting the control unit from the power supply.

Produkty příslušenství jsou určeny k odborné montáži. ŠKODA AUTO doporučuje provádět
montáž u smluvních partnerů.

Postup montáže
Po dobu montáže mějte odpojený akumulátor (je-li ve voze kódované autorádio, zjistěte
nejprve jeho kód).
Při demontáži a zpětné montáži jednotlivých dílů postupujte dle pokynů v
Dílenské příručce ŠKODA.
Demontujte:
› panel prahu (na straně řidiče),
› spodní panel A-sloupku (na straně řidiče).
Uvolněte:
› pojistkový panel,
› centrální řídicí jednotku vozu.

› Schema zapojení svazku elektrické instalace SmartGate (B) - dále jen svazku elektrické
instalace (B).

› Sedadlo řidiče odsuňte do zadní polohy.
› Svazek elektrické instalace (B) veďte z pod sedadla řidiče (mezi kobercem a tlumením) kolem
stojiny pojezdu sedadla ke stávající elektrické instalaci vozu vedené podél prahu.
› Dále pak podél stávající elektrické instalace vozu až ke spodnímu A-sloupku.
Upozornění. Svazek elektrické instalace (B) pečlivě urovnejte a ke
stávající elektrické instalaci vozu jej upevněte stahovacími páskami
(F) v místech přibližně dle obrázku.

› Svorkovnici svazku elektrické instalace (B) zapojte do řídicí jednotky (A).
› Řídicí jednotku pak nalepte (pomocí suchého zipu na spodní straně řídicí jednotky) pod
sedadlo řidiče do místa dle obrázku.
Upozornění. Při montáži řídicí jednotky je vždy nutné zkontrolovat
stav firmware. V případě zastaralého firmware jej aktualizovat na
nový.

Ukostření.
› Hnědý vodič s očkem připojte na kostřicí šroub na spodním A-sloupku. Matici dotáhněte
předepsaným utahovacím momentem.
Zapojení vodičů svazku elektrické instalace (B) do pojistkového panelu a řídicí
jednotky BCM (schéma obr. 2).
Všechny potřebné vodiče vyjměte pomocí nářadí ze sady vypichováků a se svazkem elektrické
instalace (B) je propojte dle následujících pokynů.
Pojistkový panel.
› Červeno/ žlutý vodič svazku elektrické instalace (B) propojte pomocí 2-pólové svorkovnice
(C) s vodičem na pozici výstupu pojistky SB 14.
Centrální řídicí jednotka BCM.
› Oranžovo/ černý vodič propojte s oranžovo/černým vodičem svorkovnice C - PIN 44.
› Oranžovo/ hnědý vodič propojte s oranžovo/hnědým vodičem svorkovnice C - PIN 45.
› Oranžovo/ zelený vodič propojte s oranžovo/zeleným vodičem svorkovnice C - PIN 46.
› Oranžovo/ hnědý vodič propojte s oranžovo/hnědým vodičem svorkovnice C - PIN 47.
Vyjmuté vodiče zapojte do pomocné 6-pólové svorkovnice (D) dle schéma na obr. 2. Přes
osazenou svorkovnici přetáhněte tlumení (E) a svorkovnici spojte s příslušnou svorkovnicí na
svazku elektrické instalace (B).
Po zapojení všech vodičů svazek elektrické instalace (B) pečlivě urovnejte. Přebytečnou
část svazku smotejte do ploché smyčky. Svazek a vzniklou smyčku pak upevněte pomocí
stahovacích pásek (F) ke stávající elektrické instalaci vozu v místech přibližně dle obr. 5.
Zkontrolujte uchycení a upevnění všech vodičů svazku elektrické instalace (B). Vodiče
musí být uchyceny tak, aby nemohlo dojít k jejich uvolnění, popř. poškození a během jízdy
nedocházelo k rušivým zvukům. Zvlášť pečlivě upevněte svazek v místech pod přístrojo-
vou deskou tak, aby nemohlo dojít k jeho uvolnění a tím ke kolizi s ostatními díly umístě-
nými pod přístrojovou deskou (kolenním airbagem, pedály, apod.).
Namontujte zpět všechny demontované díly a příslušné spoje utáhněte předepsanými
utahovacími momenty. Připojte akumulátor a proveďte všechny úkony související s odpo-
jením a znovu připojením akumulátoru (viz. Dílenská příručka).
Po skončení montáže proveďte aktivaci řídicí jednotky SmartGate. Při předání vozu zákaz-
níkovi jej seznamte s funkcí řídicí jednotky SmartGate a odevzdejte mu list
„Komunikace - SmartGate“.

Komunikace - SmartGate
Vážený zákazníku, před použitím SmartGate si nejprve pečlivě přečtěte všechny infor-
mace a bezpečnostní pokyny uvedené v této kapitole. V případě nejasností se obraťte na
autorizovaného partnera ŠKODA AUTO.
Pokud jsou pokyny k použití SmartGate uvedené v Návodu k obsluze Vašeho vozu, pova-
žujte tuto kapitolu za bezpředmětnou.
› SmartGate je systém, který pomocí Wi-Fi vysílá data o vozidle.
› ŠKODA aplikace nainstalované do připojeného komunikačního zařízení (např. telefon, tablet,
notebook) umožní přijatá data dále zpracovat. (ŠKODA aplikace podporují komunikační zaří-
zení s verzí operačního systému Android verze 4.x.x a vyšší a iOS 7.x.x a vyšší.)
› Dostupné aplikace a další informace naleznete na webových stránkách ŠKODA.
Pozor. Dodržujte národní právní předpisy pro používání mobilních
komunikačních zařízení ve vozidle.
Připojované zařízení, resp. držák zařízení nesmíte montovat na kryt
airbagu nebo do bezprostřední blízkosti jeho aktivační zóny.
Nikdy nenechávejte připojené zařízení ležet v oblasti rozpínání
airbagů, volně na sedadle, přístrojové desce nebo jiném místě, ze kte-
rého by mohlo být při náhlém zabrzdění, změně směru jízdy, nehodě
nebo nárazu vymrštěno - hrozí nebezpečí poranění!
Poznámka
› Dosah Wi-Fi signálu je omezen na vnitřní prostor vozidla a jeho blízké okolí.
Spojení se SmartGate
Pro úspěšné spojení musí být splněny následující podmínky.
Zapnuté Wi-Fi v připojovaném zařízení.
Zapnuté zapalování.
Vytvoření spojení
› V připojovaném zařízení nechte vyhledat dostupné sítě Wi-Fi (viz návod k obsluze připojova-
ného zařízení).
› V nabídce nalezených sítí zvolte připojení k síti „SmartGate_...“ (Na pozici ... se zobrazuje
posledních šest symbolů VIN kódu).
› Zadejte heslo.
› Z výroby je přednastaveným heslem celý VIN kód vozidla (zadejte velká písmena).
Ukončení spojení
Spojení se SmartGate můžete ukončit některým z následujících způsobů.
› Ukončením spojení se SmartGate v připojeném zařízení.
› Vypnutím Wi-Fi v připojeném zařízení.
› Vypnutím zapalování a vyjmutím klíčku ze zapalování na dobu delší než 5 s (u vozidel se
startovacím tlačítkem vypnutím motoru a otevřením dveří řidiče).
Automatické spojení
Spojení se SmartGate bude opětovně automaticky navázáno při splnění následujících
podmínek.
› Zapnuté Wi-Fi v připojovaném zařízení.
› Zapnuté zapalování.
› Připojované zařízení si pamatuje heslo pro ověření spojení.

Problémy se spojením
Pokud ke spojení nedošlo, prověřte následující body.
› Jsou splněny podmínky pro úspěšné spojení?
› Je SmartGate v seznamu dostupných Wi-Fi sítí?
› Je heslo pro ověření spojení zadané?
› Je heslo pro ověření spojení správné?
› Není připojované zařízení stále připojeno k jiné Wi-Fi síti?
Pokud jsou uvedené body v pořádku a spojení se přesto nezdaří, obraťte se na autorizova-
ného partnera ŠKODA.
Poznámka
Se SmartGate mohou být spojena zároveň až čtyři zařízení.
Webová stránka SmartGate
Pro systém SmartGate je k dispozici speciální webová stránka.
Do webového prohlížeče připojeného zařízení zadejte následující adresu.
HTTP://192.168.123.1
Na této webové stránce se nacházejí informace o vozidle, Wi-Fi spojení a SmartGate. V části
Configuration je možné upravit nastavení Wi-Fi spojení.
Uložení změn v nastavení
Změny nastavení se projeví až po provedení následujících kroků.
› Uložení změn stisknutím tlačítka „Save“.
› Restart SmartGate stisknutím tlačítka „Reboot“.
Po odpojení jednotky od napájení se resetují veškeré parametry do továrního nastavení
(včetně změněného hesla).
Správa hesla
Správu hesla je možné provádět v připojeném zařízení na webové stránce SmartGate (adresa
viz výše).
Provedené úpravy se projeví až po uložení a restartování SmartGate („Uložení změn v nasta-
vení“ - viz výše).
Změna hesla
V části Configuration zadejte do položky WPA / WPA2 key nové heslo. Heslo musí mít 8-17
znaků bez diakritiky a speciálních znaků (např. +, -, / apod.).
Možnost spojení bez zadání hesla
V části Configuration nastavte položku Security na hodnotu Open.
Zapomenuté heslo
Pokud jste zapomněli heslo, je nutné v odborném servisu nechat obnovit tovární nastavení
SmartGate odpojením jednotky od napájení.

Die Zubehörprodukte sind für eine fachgerechte Montage vorgesehen. ŠKODA AUTO
empfiehlt es, die Montage durch Vertragspartner durchzuführen.

Montageablauf
Während des Einbaus sollte die Fahrzeugbatterie abgeklemmt sein (bei Fahrzeugen mit
codiertem Radio ist zuerst der Code zu erfragen).
Der Ausbau und der erneute Einbau der einzelnen Teile erfolgen laut Anweisungen im
Reparaturleitfaden ŠKODA.
Es sind folgende Teile auszubauen:
› innere Schwellerverkleidung (auf der Fahrerseite),
› untere A-Säulenverkleidung (auf der Fahrerseite).
Es sind folgende Teile zu lösen:
› Sicherungshalter,
› Zentralsteuergerät.

› Der Anschlussplan des Leitungsstrangs SmartGate (B) - nachstehend nur als
Leitungsstrangs (B).

› Den Fahrersitz nach hinten verschieben.
› Den Leitungsstrang (B), unter dem Fahrersitz heraus (zwischen Bodenbelag und Dämp-
fungsstück), am Steg des Sitzverstellmechanismus vorbei, zur am Schweller verlegten,
bestehenden fahrzeugeigenen Elektroinstallation führen.
› Den Leitungsstrang dann parallel zur bestehenden fahrzeugeigenen Elektroinstallation bis
zur A-Säule unten führen.
Hinweis. Den Leitungsstrang (B) sorgfältig verlegen und an der
bestehenden fahrzeugeigenen Elektroinstallation mit den
Kabelbindern (F) im Bereich ungefähr laut Abbildung befestigen.

› Den Stecker des Leitungsstrangs (B) am Steuergerät (A) aufstecken.
› Das Steuergerät dann unter den Fahrersitz im Bereich laut Abbildung kleben (mittels des auf
der Unterseite des Steuergeräts befindlichen Klettverschlusses).
Hinweis. Bei der Montage des Steuergeräts ist stets der Zustand der
Firmware zu prüfen. Bei veralteter Firmware ist diese zu aktualisie-
ren.

Masseverbindung.
› Die braune Leitung mit der Öse an die Masseschraube an der A-Säule unten anschließen.
Die Mutter mit vorgeschriebenem Anzugsdrehmoment festziehen.
Der Anschluss der Leitungen des Leitungsstrangs (B) am Sicherungshalter und
BCM-Steuergerät (Anschlussplan Abb. 2).
Alle benötigten Leitungen mit dem Werkzeug des Ausstechersatzes herausnehmen und
diese mit dem Leitungsstrang (B) wie folgt verbinden.
Sicherungshalter.
› Die rot/ gelbe Leitung des Leitungsstrangs (B) mittels des 2-poligen Steckers (C) mit der
Leitung am Ausgang der Sicherung Steckplatz SB 14 verbinden.
BCM-Zentralsteuergerät.
› Die orange/ schwarze Leitung mit der orange/schwarzen Leitung des Steckers C - PIN 44
verbinden.
› Die orange/ braune Leitung mit der orange/braunen Leitung des Steckers C - PIN 45
verbinden.
› Die orange/ grüne Leitung mit der orange/grünen Leitung des Steckers C - PIN 46
verbinden.
› Die orange/ braune Leitung mit der orange/braunen Leitung des Steckers C - PIN 47
verbinden.
Die herausgenommenen Leitungen am 6-poligen Hilfsstecker (D) laut Anschlussplan in der
Abb. 2 anschließen. Das Dämpfungsstück (E) über den belegten Stecker ziehen und den
Stecker mit dem zugehörigen Stecker am Leitungsstrang (B) verbinden.
Nach dem Anschluss aller Leitungen den Leitungsstrang (B) sorgfältig verlegen. Die Über-
länge des Leitungsstrangs in eine flache Schlinge zusammenwickeln. Den Leitungsstrang
sowie die hergestellte Schlinge dann an der bestehenden fahrzeugeigenen Elektroinstal-
lation mit den Kabelbindern (F) im Bereich ungefähr laut Abbildung 5 befestigen.
Alle Leitungen des Leitungsstrangs (B) auf Befestigung und festen Sitz prüfen. Die Lei-
tungen müssen so befestigt werden, dass diese sich nicht lösen ggf. beschädigt werden
können und keine Störgeräusche während der Fahrt entstehen. Den Leitungsstrang im
Bereich unter der Schalttafel äußerst sorgfältig so befestigen, dass dieser sich nicht lösen
kann. Dadurch wird eine Kollision mit anderen unter der Schalttafel befindlichen Bautei-
len (Knieairbag, Pedale u. Ä.) vermieden.
Alle ausgebauten Teile wieder einbauen und jeweilige Verbindungen mit vorgeschrie-
benen Anzugsdrehmomenten festziehen. Die Fahrzeugbatterie anklemmen und alle
Arbeitsschritte bezüglich des Ab- und Wiederanklemmens der Batterie durchführen
(siehe Reparaturleitfaden).
Nach Abschluss der Montage das SmartGate-Steuergerät aktivieren. Bei der Fahrzeu-
gübergabe ist der Kunde mit der Funktion des SmartGate-Steuergeräts vertraut zu
machen. Das Blatt „Kommunikation - SmartGate“ ist ihm auszuhändigen.

Kommunikation - SmartGate
Sehr geehrter Kunde, lesen Sie sich vor der Verwendung von SmartGate alle in diesem
Kapitel aufgeführten Informationen und Sicherheitshinweise sorgfältig durch. Bei Unklar-
heiten wenden Sie sich an einen ŠKODA AUTO Partner.
Sollten die SmartGate-Bedienungsanweisungen in der Betriebsanleitung Ihres Fahrzeugs
enthalten sein, dann ist dieses Kapitel als gegenstandslos zu erachten.
› SmartGate stellt ein System dar, welches Fahrzeugdaten mittels Wi-Fi übermittelt.
› Die in einer angeschlossenen Kommunikationseinrichtung (z. B. Telefon, Tablet, Notebook)
installierten ŠKODA-Anwendungen bieten die Möglichkeit, empfangene Daten weiter zu be-
arbeiten. (Die ŠKODA-Anwendungen unterstützen Kommunikationseinrichtungen mit dem
Betriebssystem Android Version 4.x.x und höher sowie iOS 7.x.x und höher.)
› Verfügbare Anwendungen und weitere Informationen sind den ŠKODA-Webseiten zu ent-
nehmen.
Achtung. Die nationalen gesetzlichen Bestimmungen für die Verwen-
dung von mobilen Kommunikationseinrichtungen im Fahrzeug sind
zu beachten.
Die anzuschließende Einrichtung bzw. deren Halterung darf nicht auf
den Abdeckungen der Airbags oder im unmittelbaren Wirkungsbe-
reich der Airbags montiert werden.
Die angeschlossene Einrichtung niemals im Entfaltungsbereich der
Airbags, auf einem Sitz, auf der Schalttafel oder an einem anderen
Ort liegen lassen, von dem diese bei einem plötzlichen Bremsmanö-
ver, einem Fahrtrichtungswechsel, einem Unfall oder einem Aufprall
weggeschleudert werden kann - es besteht Verletzungsgefahr!
Anmerkung
› Die Reichweite des Wi-Fi-Signals ist auf den Innenraum sowie auf die nahe Umgebung des
Fahrzeugs eingeschränkt.
Verbindung mit SmartGate
Für eine erfolgreiche Verbindung müssen folgende Bedingungen erfüllt werden.
Die Wi-Fi ist in der anzuschließenden Einrichtung eingeschaltet.
Die Zündung ist eingeschaltet.
Verbindung herstellen
› In der anzuschließenden Einrichtung nach verfügbaren Wi-Fi-Netzwerken suchen lassen
(siehe Bedienungsanleitung der anzuschließenden Einrichtung).
› Im Menü der gefundenen Netzwerke den Anschluss zum „SmartGate_...“-Netzwerk wählen
(An der Position ... werden die letzten sechs Symbole der Fahrzeug-Identifizierungsnummer
angezeigt).
› Das Passwort eingeben.
› Werkseitig ist als Passwort die komplette Fahrzeug-Identifizierungsnummer voreingestellt
(Großbuchstaben eingeben).
Verbindung trennen
Die Verbindung zu SmartGate kann auf eine der folgenden Arten getrennt werden.
› Durch das Trennen der Verbindung zu SmartGate in der angeschlossenen Einrichtung.
› Durch das Ausschalten der Wi-Fi in der angeschlossenen Einrichtung.
› Durch das Ausschalten der Zündung und Abziehen des Zündschlüssels für länger als 5 s (bei
Fahrzeugen mit dem Starterknopf durch das Abstellen des Motors und Öffnen der Fahrer-
tür).

Automatische Verbindung
Die Verbindung zu SmartGate wird unter folgenden Bedingungen automatisch wiederher-
gestellt.
› Die Wi-Fi ist in der anzuschließenden Einrichtung eingeschaltet.
› Die Zündung ist eingeschaltet.
› Die anzuschließende Einrichtung speichert das für die Verbindungsüberprüfung erforderli-
che Passwort.
Verbindungsprobleme
Falls die Verbindung fehlgeschlagen ist, dann sind die folgenden Punkte zu überprüfen.
› Sind die Bedingungen für eine erfolgreiche Verbindung erfüllt?
› Ist SmartGate in der Liste verfügbarer Wi-Fi-Netzwerke vorhanden?
› Wurde das für die Verbindungsüberprüfung erforderliche Passwort eingegeben?
› Ist das für die Verbindungsüberprüfung erforderliche Passwort korrekt?
› Ist die anzuschließende Einrichtung nicht immer noch an einem anderen Wi-Fi-Netzwerk
angeschlossen?
Sollten die o. g. Punkte in Ordnung sein und sollte die Verbindung trotzdem fehlschlagen,
dann ist ein ŠKODA Partner aufzusuchen.
Anmerkung
Mit SmartGate können bis zu vier Einrichtungen gleichzeitig verbunden sein.
SmartGate-Webseite
Für das SmartGate-System steht eine spezielle Webseite zur Verfügung.
In den Webbrowser der angeschlossenen Einrichtung ist die folgende Adresse einzugeben.
HTTP://192.168.123.1
Auf dieser Webseite stehen Informationen über das Fahrzeug, die Wi-Fi-Verbindung und
SmartGate zur Verfügung. Im Bereich Configuration kann die Einstellung der Wi-Fi-Verbindung
angepasst werden.
Einstellungsänderungen speichern
Die Einstellungsänderungen machen sich erst nach Durchführung folgender Schritte bemerk-
bar.
› Die Änderungen werden durch das Betätigen der Taste „Save“ gespeichert.
› Ein Restart des SmartGate wird durch das Betätigen der Taste „Reboot“ durchgeführt.
Nach dem Trennen des Steuergeräts von der Spannungsversorgung werden sämtliche
Parameter (inkl. des veränderten Passworts) auf Werkseinstellungen zurückgesetzt.
Passwortverwaltung
Die Passwortverwaltung kann in der angeschlossenen Einrichtung auf der SmartGate-Web-
seite erfolgen (Adresse siehe oben).
Die vorgenommenen Anpassungen machen sich erst nach der Speicherung und dem Restart
des SmartGate bemerkbar („Einstellungsänderungen speichern“ - siehe oben).
Passwort ändern
Im Bereich Configuration im Menüpunkt WPA / WPA2 key ein neues Passwort eingeben. Das
Passwort muss 8-17 Zeichen ohne Diakritika und spezielle Zeichen (bspw. +, -, / u. Ä.) enthal-
ten.
Verbindungsoption ohne Passworteingabe
Im Bereich Configuration den Wert Open im Menüpunkt Security einstellen.
Passwort vergessen
Bei vergessenem Passwort ist das SmartGate in einem Fachbetrieb auf Werkseinstellungen
zurücksetzen zu lassen, indem das Steuergerät von der Spannungsversorgung getrennt wird.

Unidad de control SmartGate
Los accesorios están pensados para un montaje profesional. ŠKODA AUTO recomienda
encargar el montaje a un concesionario.

Proceso de montaje
La batería del vehículo debería estar desembornada durante el montaje (en caso de vehícu-
los con radio codificada hay que preguntar primero por el código).
El desmontaje y el nuevo montaje de las piezas individuales se deben llevar a cabo de con-
formidad con las instrucciones de la guía de reparación de ŠKODA.
Hay que desmontar las siguientes piezas:
› revestimiento interior de la talonera (en el lado del conductor),
› revestimiento inferior del montante A (en el lado del conductor).
Hay que soltar las siguientes piezas:
› portafusibles,
› unidad de control central.

«ramal de cables» [B[).

› Desplazar hacia atrás el asiento del conductor.
› Guiar el ramal de cables (B), extrayéndolo por debajo del asiento del conductor (entre la
moqueta y la pieza de amortiguación), pasando por el saliente del mecanismo de regulación
del asiento, hasta la instalación eléctrica existente, propia del vehículo, situada en el umbral.
› A continuación, guiar el ramal de cables paralelamente a la instalación eléctrica existente,
propia del vehículo, hasta la parte inferior del montante A.
Advertencia. Tender cuidadosamente el ramal de cables (B) y fijarlo
en la instalación eléctrica existente, propia del vehículo, con las
bridas sujetacables (F) aproximadamente en la zona mostrada en la
figura.

› Enchufar el conector del ramal de cables (B) en la unidad de control (A).
› Seguidamente, pegar la unidad de control debajo del asiento del conductor en la zona mos-
trada en la figura (utilizando el velcro situado en la parte inferior de la unidad de control).
Nota: en el montaje de la unidad de control hay que verificar perma-
nentemente el estado del firmware. En caso de que el firmware esté
anticuado, tendrá que actualizarse.

Conexión de masa.
› Conectar el cable marrón con la argolla al tornillo de conexión a masa en la parte inferior del
montante A. Apretar la tuerca con el par de apriete prescrito.
Conexión de los cables del ramal de cables (B) en el portafusibles y en la unidad
de control BCM (plano de conexiones fig. 2).
Usar la herramienta del juego cortador para extraer todos los cables necesarios y conectarlos
con el ramal de cables (B) de la manera siguiente.
Portafusibles.
› Conectar el cable rojo/amarillo del ramal de cables (B) por medio del conector de 2 polos (C)
al cable de la salida del fusible en el punto de conexión SB 14.
Unidad de control central BCM.
› Conectar el cable naranja/negro con el cable naranja/negro del conector C - terminal 44.
› Conectar el cable naranja/marrón con el cable naranja/marrón del conector C - terminal 45.
› Conectar el cable naranja/verde con el cable naranja/verde del conector C - terminal 46.
› Conectar el cable naranja/marrón con el cable naranja/marrón del conector C - terminal 47.
Conectar los cables extraídos en el conector auxiliar (D) de 6 polos según el plano de conexio-
nes de la fig. 2. Tirar de la pieza de amortiguación (E) a través del conector ocupado y unir el
conector con el conector correspondiente del ramal de cables (B).
Una vez conectados todos los cables, tender con cuidado el ramal de cables (B). Enrollar la
longitud sobrante del ramal de cables en un bucle plano. A continuación, fijar el ramal de
cables y el bucle recién formado a la instalación eléctrica existente, propia del vehículo,
utilizando las bridas sujetacables (F) aproximadamente en la zona indicada en la figura 5.
Comprobar la fijación y el asiento firme de todos los cables del ramal de cables (B).
Los cables se deben fijar de tal modo que no se puedan soltar ni dañar y que no provo-
quen ruidos molestos durante la marcha. El ramal de cables se debe fijar con el máximo
cuidado en la zona situada bajo el tablero de mandos, de modo que este no se pueda
soltar. Así se evita una colisión con otros componentes situados debajo del tablero de
mandos (airbag para rodillas, pedales y similares).
Volver a montar todas las piezas desmontadas y apretar las conexiones correspondientes
con los pares de apriete prescritos. Embornar la batería del vehículo y llevar a cabo todos
los pasos de trabajo relacionados con la desconexión y reconexión de los bornes de la
batería (véase la guía de reparación).
Una vez concluido el montaje, activar la unidad de control SmartGate. Al entregar el ve-
hículo al cliente, este deberá familiarizarse con el funcionamiento de la unidad de control
SmartGate. Deberá entregársele la hoja «Comunicación: SmartGate».

Comunicación: SmartGate
Estimado cliente, antes de utilizar la unidad de control SmartGate, lea detenidamente
toda la información y advertencias de seguridad expuestas en el presente capítulo. En
caso de dudas, diríjase a un concesionario ŠKODA AUTO.
Si el manual de su vehículo ya incluyera las instrucciones de manejo de SmartGate, ignore
este capítulo.
› SmartGate es un sistema que transfiere datos del vehículo a través de Wi-Fi.
› Las aplicaciones ŠKODA instaladas en un terminal de comunicación conectado (p. ej., teléfo-
no, tableta, ordenador portátil) permiten procesar los datos recibidos. (Las aplicaciones ŠKO-
DA son compatibles con terminales de comunicación con los sistemas operativos Android
versión 4.x.x y superior e iOS 7.x.x y superior.)
› En las páginas web de ŠKODA pueden consultarse las aplicaciones disponibles, así como
más información al respecto.
Atención. Deben observarse las disposiciones legales nacionales para
el uso de terminales móviles de comunicación en el vehículo.
El terminal que vaya a conectarse o su soporte no deben montarse
sobre las cubiertas de los airbags ni directamente en la zona de ac-
tuación de los airbags.
No dejar nunca el terminal conectado en la zona de despliegue de los
airbags, sobre un asiento, sobre el tablero de mandos ni en cualquier
otro lugar desde el que pueda salir despedido en caso de una manio-
bra de frenado repentina, un cambio de sentido, un accidente o un
choque. Existe el riesgo de sufrir lesiones.
Observación
› El alcance de la señal Wi-Fi está limitada al espacio interior, así como a las proximidades
inmediatas del vehículo.
Conexión con SmartGate
Para una conexión correcta deben cumplirse las siguientes condiciones.
El Wi-Fi está encendido en el terminal que se va a conectar.
El encendido está conectado.
Establecer la conexión
› Buscar redes Wi-Fi disponibles en el terminal que se va a conectar (véase el manual de
instrucciones del terminal que se va a conectar).
› En el menú de las redes encontradas, seleccionar la conexión a la red «SmartGate_...» (en la
posición ... se muestran los últimos seis caracteres del número de identificación del vehícu-
lo).
› Introducir la contraseña.
› La contraseña ajustada de fábrica corresponde al número de identificación completo del
vehículo (introducir en mayúsculas).
Desactivar la conexión
Es posible desactivar la conexión con SmartGate de una de las siguientes maneras.
› Desactivando la conexión con SmartGate en el terminal conectado.
› Apagando el Wi-Fi en el terminal conectado.
› Desconectando el encendido y extrayendo la llave durante más de 5 s (en vehículos con
botón de arranque, apagando el motor y abriendo la puerta del conductor).

Conexión automática
La conexión con SmartGate se restablece automáticamente en las siguientes condiciones:
› El Wi-Fi está encendido en el terminal que va a conectarse.
› El encendido está conectado.
› El terminal que se va a conectar memoriza la contraseña necesaria para la comprobación de
la conexión.
Problemas de conexión
Si la conexión fallara, deberán comprobarse los siguientes puntos:
› ¿Se cumplen las condiciones para una conexión correcta?
› ¿Está presente SmartGate en la lista de redes Wi-Fi disponibles?
› ¿Se ha introducido la contraseña necesaria para la comprobación de la conexión?
› ¿Es correcta la contraseña necesaria para la comprobación de la conexión?
› ¿Está el terminal que se desea conectar aún conectado a otra red Wi-Fi?
Si los puntos anteriores fueran correctos y, a pesar de ello, la conexión fallara, deberá
acudirse a un concesionario ŠKODA.
Observación
Con SmartGate pueden conectarse simultáneamente hasta cuatro terminales.
Página web de SmartGate
Hay una página web especial disponible para el sistema SmartGate.
Introducir en el navegador web del terminal conectado la siguiente dirección.
HTTP://192.168.123.1
En esta página web puede consultarse información sobre el vehículo, la conexión Wi-Fi y
SmartGate. En la zona de configuración puede adaptarse el ajuste de la conexión Wi-Fi.
Guardar los cambios de los ajustes
Los cambios de los ajustes no se hacen perceptibles hasta después de llevar a cabo los
siguientes pasos.
› Guardar los cambios pulsando la tecla «Save».
› Reiniciar SmartGate pulsando la tecla «Reboot».
Tras la desconexión de la unidad de control de la alimentación de tensión se restablecen
todos los parámetros (incl. los de la contraseña modificada) a los ajustes de fábrica.
Administración de contraseñas
La administración de contraseñas en el terminal conectado puede realizarse en la página web
de SmartGate (véase la dirección más arriba).
Las adaptaciones efectuadas no se hacen perceptibles hasta después de guardar y reiniciar
SmartGate (véase arriba «Guardar los cambios de los ajustes»).
Cambiar la contraseña
Introducir una contraseña nueva en la zona «Configuration», en el punto de menú «WPA /
WPA2 key». La contraseña debe tener de 8 a 17 caracteres sin signos diacríticos ni caracteres
especiales (p. ej., +, -, / y similares).
Opción de conexión sin contraseña
Ajustar en la zona «Configuration» el valor «Open» en el punto de menú «Security».
Contraseña olvidada
En caso de haber olvidado la contraseña, el SmartGate deberá restablecerse a los valores de
fábrica por una empresa especializada, desconectando la unidad de mando de la alimentación
de tensión.
