Thank you for choosing smanos help you take control of your home. The
smanos family of Home Alarm Systems are designed to be self-monitored
alarm systems and help you become more active in securing your home
without a high investment. We aim to provide a safe, easy & cost effective
solution for you to protect your home & loved ones 24/7/365.
High-speed WiFi Internet Connection
- One critical factor that can affect the performance of your device is the
position between your home WiFi router and the K1/K2 Hub. Set up your
K1/K2 Hub in an open space (DO NOT place it directly on the oor); the
closer the K1/K2 Hub is to the router, the stronger the WiFi signal will be.
- Please be sure to connect you K1/K2 Hub to WiFi using the 2.4GHz
spectrum as this is a larger spectrum and the K1/K2 Hub does not support
the 5GHz option which has been found to be the most common mistake
when setting up the K1/K2 for the rst time.

The accessories in this kit are already paired with your K1/K2 Smart Hub.
K1/K2 Smart Hub x 1
- The heart of the system that receives, processes
and sends signals from & to the wireless
sensors.
MD-20 Pet Friendly Motion Sensor x 1
- A sensor that detects suspicious motion while
ignoring motion from your furry little ones
under 50 lbs / 23 kg.
SS-20 Indoor Siren x 1
- The siren will go off on-site, with a loud 104dB
siren sound, to deter any would-be intruder
after a sensor has been triggered.
KP-20 Security Keypad x 1
- A device with 4 non-numeric keys (password
customizable directly on the app) that can be
used to control the entire system.

*Non-numberic Keys are used to set the password for changing the status of
K1/K2 system.
The default password is pressing the key at the left top for 6 times. Make
sure the UP mark on the back cover points up before putting the Keypad on
a at surface.

Advice before Setting Up
Make installing easier and quicker by putting all the devices on a at surface
rst. Check all options and how to set it up properly. Then install them on
their assigned places.
Download the “smanos home” App
You can search “smanos home” in App Store or Google Play Store or scan
the QR codes as below:
Sign Up/In
If you have not registered an account with smanos, please press “Sign up”
just below the “Sign in” icon on the app, and follow the instructions to create
your account rst.
 If you do not receive an account verication code in your email inbox
during the registration process, please remember to check your spam/
junk folder and make sure the notice has not been blocked by your service
provider.

System Statuses
System Armed
All the K1/K2 sensors detect for anomalies; the indoor siren will sound
immediately when a sensor is triggered. You and other pre-authorized users
will receive push notications on your/their phone.
This mode is recommended for when no one is at home, and can be easily
set from the Keypad or app.

Rotate the Keypad ring to the right, and then enter the
Keypad password (Press the left top key for 6 times).

Only the Motion Sensor in this kit will stop detecting (default setting; can
be changed on the app), which enables you and your family to move freely
inside your home without triggering the motion sensor yet your door/
window sensors are still alert and protecting the perimeter.
This mode is recommended for when someone is at home, such as during
the night, and can be set from the Keypad or the app.

System Disarmed
All the sensors stop detecting except any sensors that you may have set to
24 Hour Mode. Sensors in the 24 Hour Mode are continuously monitoring
a particular area, entrance or item for you such as a water sensor or a
door/window sensor. Some examples would be a WI-20 Water Sensor
(need to purchase separately) near a washing machine, hot water heater or
dishwasher or a DS-20 Door Sensor on a gun or medicine cabinet or your
safe. Any sensor placed in 24 Hour Mode will keep working regardless of
system status.

K1/K2 Smart Hub Light Indicator Color Meanings
The different colors shown on the light indicator on the back of the K1/K2
Hub tell you the device’s current status. Here is a list of what each color or
pattern means:
Pattern Description Meaning
The indicator blinks in a white color Hub is booting up
The blue indicator blinks slowly
(once every 2 sec)
Hub is disconnected from a viable
WiFi network
The indicator shows a steady light Hub is connected with a viable WiFi
network
Red and blue blink alternately Hub is in WiFi Conguration Mode

Installation
UP ↑
Step 1: Unlock the base from your
device.
Step 2: Place the base on the wall;
make sure the “UP” arrow on the base
is pointing vertically to the ceiling; use
the provided screws or double sided
tape to install it properly (the green
“Level” is a good reference to keep
your device leveled).
Step 3: Lock your device onto the
base.

Recommended Placements
K1/K2 Smart Hub:
Place your K1/K2 Hub in an open
area that is located centrally to the
whole smart home system, and
within line of sight of your WiFi
router.
DS-20 Door/Window Sensor:
Can be installed on a door/door
frame, window/window frame or any
other object that can be opened/
closed and needs detection. There
are aligning marks on the sides of
the transmitter and magnet; make
sure the marks face each other and
within the range of 1 cm (0.4”).
KP-20 Security Keypad:
Place the Keypad near the entry of
your home that is convenient for
you to control the system on your
way out/in.
MD-20 Pet Friendly Motion
Sensor:
Place the sensor at a location that is
critical for home security at a height
of 2-2.2 meters (6.6'-7.3') from
the ground. Avoid facing swinging
objects, heat, window and door.

SS-20 Indoor Siren:
You should place the Siren in any location as long as it is within the range
with K1/K2 Hub and it is not a bad idea to have 2 or 3 Sirens. More than one
Siren helps deter would-be intruders even more as they will go towards the
initial Siren to try to break it. It successful and the 2nd or 2nd 3rd Siren are
still blaring at 104 decibels, it is more likely they will be leaving as intruders
do not care for attention and know they have only a short period of time.
Z-Wave (only Available for K2 Hub)
If the hub you bought has a Z-Wave logo on it, which means it could work
with other Z-Wave certied devices. Please scan the QR code for more
information.

Schnelle WLAN-Internetverbindung
- Ein kritischer Faktor, der die Leistung Ihrer Geräte beeinussen kann, ist
die Position zwischen Ihrem Heim-WLAN-Router und dem K1/K2-Hub.
Richten Sie Ihren K1/K2-Hub an einem offenen Ort ein (NICHT direkt auf
