What is the WS-S8A?
The WS-S8A is a Wireless Solar Siren compatible with
SMARSECUR Secual alarm systems.
Some advice before using your siren
This siren features 2 tamper switches. If both
one of them. Be careful when you open the siren
(for setup) or when you remove it from a wall:
the siren may ring out.
We recommend you to connect your siren to your
control panel before mounting it on a wall.

Quick start guide
1
Switch on the siren
Open the case of the siren
with a screwdriver and place
the siren’s power switch 4
on “ON”. The power switch
is located under the silicone
cover, inside the siren.

Adjust the siren duration
Place the switch 3inside
the siren according to the
duration you want (30
seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes).
Important, before going to step 3
-Make sure no delay is set up on your control panel
-Do not trigger any detector during the connection
of the siren, and do not stay in the scope of a
motion detector
-Do not use your remote control during the
connection of the siren
-Only mount your siren on a wall after you have
connected it to your control panel.

Put back the silicone cover
To protect water from leaking
into the circuit board, put back
the silicone cover. Make sure the
circuit board compartment is
properly sealed.

Connect your siren to your
control panel
Press the Connection
button 5for one second. The
LEDs light up: the siren is now in
connection mode for 20 seconds.
Press“Arm”or “SOS”on your control panel (not on the
remote control). You hear one beep: the siren is now
connected to the control panel.
A piece of advice
When holding the siren, make sure you do not press
the tamper switch 1: the siren may ring out.

Everyday use
When you arm the system
The LEDs of the WS-S8A turn on for 4 seconds: the
siren is armed.
When you disarm the system
The LEDs of the ES-S8A blink 6 times: the siren is
disarmed.
A piece of advice
If you experience false alarms after having
connected your siren to the control panel, we
advise you to reset your siren and reconnect it to
your control panel.
When reconnecting your siren, make sure you do
not trigger any detector and you do not use any
remote control.

Advanced set up
Change siren duration
Open the case of the siren with a screwdriver and
place the siren duration switch 3according to
the duration you want (30 seconds, 1 minute, 3
minutes).
Remark
If the duration of the control panel’s siren is superior
to the duration of the siren, the siren will stop
ringing out with the control panel’s siren.
Reset
1. Press the connection button 5for one second.
2. The LEDs light up: press the“Arm”button on the
remote control.
3. Press the“Disarm”button of the remote control.
4. Press and hold the Connection button 5of
the siren until you hear 3 beeps (7 seconds): all
accessories or control panels connected have been
deleted from the siren.

Using the siren as a
standalone alarm system
The WS-S8A can be used as a standalone alarm
system: connect at least one remote control and
at least one detector to the siren, and the siren will
ring out everytime the detector is triggered (if the
siren is armed).
The siren supports up to 20 wireless accessories.
Connect accessories to the siren
Press the Connection button 5for one second.
The LEDs light up: the siren is now in connection
mode for 20 seconds. Trigger the accessory (e.g.
press the “Disarm”button on the remote control
if you want to connect this remote control). You
hear one beep: the accessory is now connected to
the siren. If you hear 2 beeps, the accessory was
already connected.
Everyday use
Arm the system. Press the “Arm”button of the
remote control. The LEDs of the WS-S8A turn on for 4
seconds: the siren is armed.
Disarm the system. Press the“Disarm” button of
the remote control. The LEDs of the WS-S8A blink 6
times: the siren is disarmed.
