The SMC TigerAccess solution delivers service providers
a range of flexible and industry leading products to
implement networks with different end connection
requirements. The SMC7824M/FSW specifically supports
end user connections which are FTTH 100BASE-BX
Ethernet ports. Providing 100Mbps bandwidth up to a
distance of 10km over single mode fiber. Flexible uplink
connections using either gigabit or GPON connections
into the service provider network give high bandwidth
end to end.
Bringing hot swapable redundant power supplies in 2
different types and a hot swapable fan tray for field
replacement this new family of products gives more
flexibility and enhanced reliability for the service
providers which in turn gives complete confidence to
the end user that their mission critical connection will
not go down at a crucial moment. The SMC7824M/FSW
offers 24 100BASE-BX ethernet ports and 2 module slots
for gigabit uplinks or service provider modules such as
GPON plus 2 Gigabit combo ports. Ports, Modules, Two
power supply slots and a fan tray slot are all located on
the front panel for ease of access in the wiring closet.
This new family of products brings a common software
feature set offering a single interface and software feature
design. Our rigourous testing strategy gives customers
confidence in the quality and reliability of this new product
family as well as existing SMC Networks products. These
products enable service providers to deliver triple and
quadrule play services to their end users while meeting
feature and reliabity requirements including a NEBS3
compatible design.
