IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
a) Read all instructions.
b To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put in water or other liquid. Do not operate knife in water or under
running water.
c) This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance
is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
d) Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug from the outlet when not in use, before assembly, or disassembling parts and
before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord. Disconnect
when changing blades.
e) Avoid contacting moving parts.
f) Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or
damaged in any manner. Contact the manufacturer at their customer service telephone number for information on
examination, repair, or adjustment.
g) The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
h) Do not use outdoors.
i) Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
j) Do not let cord contact hot surface, including the stove.
k) Blades are sharp. Handle carefully. Always handle blades with hand away from cutting edge. Always store blades
with cutting edge away from you.
l) Carefully route the power supply cord to avoid damage from the knife blades while cutting.

HOW TO REMOVE/INSERT BLADES
1. Disconnect knife from electrical outlet.
2. Separate blades and wash before using and/or storing.
3. Attach the two blades before inserting in (power unit) handle. Grip both blades below the grease
guards (Fig. 1). Slip rivet at top of one blade into keyhole slot of other blade (Fig. 2). Bring the two
blades together making sure tips remain locked.
4. Grip blades away from cutting edge, position cutting edge in same direction as the switch bar.
Insert grease guard end into handle until blades click into place (Fig. 3).
5. To remove blades from handle, grip blades away from cutting edge, push in blade release buttons
on either side of knife handle, and pull to remove blades (Fig. 4).

HOW TO FILLET FISH
1. After following the instructions for inserting blades, plug the knife
into electric outlet.
2. Release the safety lock (red button) & press switch bar to activate
blades.
3. Place fish on a wood cutting board. Grasp the fish’s mouth with
your first two fingers and thumb & run blade downward behind
the pectoral fin until the blade reaches the backbone (Fig. 1).
4. Turn the blade to run parallel along the backbone. Slowly work the
blade through the rib cage staying close to the spine. Continue
cutting to a point 3/4” from the tail (Fig. 2).
5. Stopping at the tail, flip the sliced portion over with skin and/or
scales against the cutting board and run the blade forward at
slight downward slant until the flesh is separated from the skin
(Fig. 3).
6. Remove the rib cage from the fish portion with a sharp knife.
7. Repeat the same procedure for filleting the other side of the fish.

CLEANING YOUR ELECTRIC FILLET KNIFE
1. Disconnect cord from power before removing blades. Remove blades by sliding blade release button and
pulling blades out by grease guards. Always hold blades on the dull side with your hands away from the
cutting edges.
2. Slide blades apart and unlock.
3. Hold blades by extensions & wash in hot soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not wash in automatic
dishwasher.
HINTS FOR USING YOUR ELECTRIC FILLET KNIFE
1. Always use a cutting board to clean fish.
2. Do not sharpen blades. They are precision ground with serrated edges.
3. Do not attempt filleting frozen fish; thaw out first.
4. When cleaning fish, occasionally remove the blades and rinse the residue buildup from the blades.
5. This appliance is not recommended for cleaning gamefish with large or hard bones.
6. For longer motor life, avoid short on-and-off spurts.

1. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will
only fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
2. This appliance is for household use only.
3. Power unit never needs lubrication. It is life-lubricated.
4. No User-servicable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified servicing personnel.
5. Replacement blades sold separately.

MISES EN GARDE IMPORTANTES

COMMENT RETIRER/INSÉRER LES LAMES
1. Débranchez le couteau de la prise électrique.
2. Séparez les lames et lavez-les avant de les utiliser et/ou de les ranger.
3. Attachez les deux lames avant de les insérer dans le manche (bloc moteur). Saisissez les deux
lames sous les protections anti-graisse (Fig. 1). Glissez le rivet situé en haut d’une lame dans la
fente en forme de trou de serrure de l’autre lame (Fig. 2). Rapprochez les deux lames en vous
assurant que les pointes restent verrouillées.
4. Saisissez les lames à distance du tranchant, positionnez le tranchant dans la même direction que
l’interrupteur. Insérez l’extrémité côté protection anti-graisse dans le manche jusqu’à ce que les
lames s’enclenchent en place (Fig. 3).
5. Pour retirer les lames du manche, saisissez les lames loin du tranchant, appuyez sur les boutons de
déblocage des lames de chaque côté du manche du couteau, et tirez pour retirer les lames (Fig. 4).

COMMENT FILETER LE POISSON
1. Après avoir suivi les instructions d’insertion des lames, branchez
le couteau dans une prise électrique.
2. Relâchez le verrou de sécurité (bouton rouge) et appuyez sur la
barre d’interrupteur pour activer les lames.
3. Placez le poisson sur une planche à découper en bois. Saisissez
la bouche du poisson avec l’index, le majeur et le pouce et faites
descendre la lame derrière la nageoire pectorale jusqu’à ce que la
lame atteigne l’épine dorsale (Fig. 1).
4. Tournez la lame pour qu’elle soit parallèle à l’épine dorsale.

situé à 2 cm (3/4 po) de la queue (Fig. 2).
5. En vous arrêtant à la queue, retournez la partie tranchée avec la

a lame en l’inclinant légèrement vers le bas jusqu’à ce que la
chair soit séparée de la peau (Fig. 3).
6. Retirez la cage thoracique de la portion de poisson à l’aide d’un
couteau tranchant.
7. Répétez la procédure pour fileter l’autre côté du poisson.

NETTOYAGE DE VOTRE COUTEAU À FILET ÉLECTRIQUE
1. Débranchez le cordon d’alimentation avant de retirer les lames. Retirez les lames en faisant glisser le
bouton de déverrouillage des lames et en les tirant par les protections anti-graisse. Tenez toujours les
lames du côté non coupant en gardant vos mains loin du tranchant.
2. Faites glisser les lames l’une contre l’autre pour les séparer, puis déverrouillez-les.
3. Tenez les lames par leur base et lavez-les à l’eau chaude savonneuse. Rincez et séchez soigneusement.
Ne lavez pas au lave-vaisselle.
CONSEILS POUR L’UTILISATION DE VOTRE COUTEAU
À FILET ÉLECTRIQUE
1. Utilisez toujours une planche à découper pour nettoyer le poisson.
2. N’aiguisez pas les lames. Elles sont dentées et affûtées avec précision.
3. N’essayez pas de fileter du poisson congelé ; décongelez-le d’abord.
4. Lorsque vous nettoyez du poisson, retirez de temps en temps les lames et rincez les résidus accumulés
sur celles-ci.
5. Cet appareil n’est pas recommandé pour le nettoyage des poissons à arêtes larges ou dures.
6. Pour prolonger la durée de vie du moteur, évitez les impulsions courtes.

COMO RETIRAR E INSERTAR LAS HOJAS DE CORTE
1. Desconecte el cuchillo de la toma eléctrica.
2. Separe las hojas de corte y lávelas antes de usarlas o almacenarlas.
3. Acople las dos hojas de corte antes de insertarlas en el mango (unidad de potencia). Agarre las dos
hojas de corte debajo del escudo antigrasa (Figura 1). Deslice el remache de la parte superior de
una de las hojas de corte en la ranura de bocallave de la otra hoja de corte (Figura 2). Junte las
dos hojas de corte, asegurándose de que las puntas sigan trabadas.
4. Agarre las hojas de corte lejos del borde cortante; coloque el borde cortante en la misma dirección
que la barra del interruptor. Inserte el extremo del escudo antigrasa en el mango hasta que las
hojas de corte encajen en su posición (Figura 3).
5. Para retirar las hojas de corte del mango, agárrelas lejos del borde cortante, presione los botones
liberadores de las hojas de corte en los dos lados del mango del cuchillo y tire de ellas para
retirarlas (Figura 4)

COMO FILETEAR PESCADO
1. Después de seguir las instrucciones para insertar las hojas de
corte, conecte el cuchillo a la toma eléctrica.
2. Libere la traba de seguridad (botón rojo) y presione la barra del
interruptor para activar las hojas de corte.
3. Coloque el pescado en una tabla de corte de madera. Agarre la
boca del pescado con sus primeros dos dedos y el pulgar, y lleve
la hoja de corte hacia abajo detrás de la aleta pectoral hasta
toparse con la columna vertebral (Figura 1).
4. Gire la hoja de corte para llevarla paralelamente a la columna
vertebral. Pase lentamente la hoja de corte por el costillar,
manteniéndola cerca de la columna. Siga cortando hasta un
punto a 2 cm (3/4 in) de la cola (Figura 2).
5. Al detenerse en la cola, voltee la porción tajada con la piel y las
escamas contra la tabla de corte, y lleve la hoja de corte hacia
adelante con una ligera inclinación hacia abajo hasta que se
separe la carne de la piel (Figura 3).
6. Retire el costillar de la porción del pescado con un cuchillo afilado.
7. Repita el mismo procedimiento para filetear el otro lado del pescado.
