3 Intended use
The power meter AC Sensor Flex (referred to
hereinafter as ACS) is a device that takes the
electrical measurements at a 1 or 3-phase AC
voltage connection and transmits the values via
CAN bus. The device is intended exclusively for
private use with a MyReserve battery storage
system and the EnergyManager. This product is
not an active electric energy meter as defi ned
by EU Directive 2004/92/EC (IDE). The ACS
must not be used for billing purposes. The data
that the device records may di er from the data
of the energy meter used for billing.
The ACS must only be connected in the custo-
mer‘s main switchboard on the consumer side
downstream from the retail meter of the power
supply company. It is suited exclusively for use
indoors in a switch box or meter cabinet. The
ACS is approved for use in member states of the
EU, as well as Switzerland and Australia. Its use
is permitted exclusively in compliance with the
specifi cations of the accompanying documen-
tation. Any other use could result in property
damage and personal injury. Modifi cations and
installation of additional components are pro-
hibited for safety reasons. The accompanying
documentation is an integral component of the
product. The user of the product must have read
and observed the documentation and keep it
accessible at all times.
4 Safety
The live parts carry extremely dangerous voltages. Only use the ACS in a dry environment
and keep it away from liquids. Only operate the ACS behind a cover or with a contact guard in
a switch cabinet. Disconnect the ACS before cleaning it and only clean it using a dry cloth.
Connection of mains voltage to the CAN bus terminals can damage or destroy the device.
Operation outside of the specifi ed technical data can damage or destroy the device (see
„Technical data“ at the end of this guide).

5 Product description
The ACS is a bidirectional Current transformer
that measures the electrical power for import
and export, and communicates to the MyReserve
battery storage system, which is then regulated
accordingly.
The ACS is installed after from the retail meter.

8 Connection and commissioning
Extremely dangerous voltage runs through
the household junction box. Disconnect
the connection point and secure against
re-connection. Ensure that the conductors
that are connected to the ACS or should be
disconnected from it are de-energized.
Observe the 5 safety rules!

If you use a network installation cable the suitable RJ45 connectors are available in the
SOLARWATT webshop (DELOCK 86287 RJ45 connectors).
Make sure that the pins H (pin 1), L (pin 2) and GROUND (pin 6) are connected to MyRe-
serve Command and the AC sensor with the same assignment.

8.1 Direct measurement
• Mount the ACS in a DIN-rail: hook the device on the upper edge of the DIN-rail and press down
until it clicks in place.
• Connect the ACS according to the relevant wiring diagram (“single ACS”, “ACS and MyReserve”,
“ACS, MyReserve and EnergyManager”).
• Check DIP switch settings for S1, S2, S3 (for direct measurement, all three switches should be
to the left) and DIP switch settings for S4 (ensure all four switches are ON (to the left)) under
the case cover
