Description:
Replacement of old style round electrical connector with D connector to match P/N 700-
1030-3 fuel flow indicator.
Modification:
1. Remove P/N 700-1030-1 indicator from instrument panel.
2. Pull connector through indicator mounting hole and remove connector from harness.
3. Locate wire number D111A20 and cut approximately 4 inches from instrument end.
4. Strip wires D111A20 and D111D20 and crimp into one end of 320559 splice.
5. Strip end of wire D111X20 and crimp into other end of splice.
6. Trim other end of wire D111X20 to match the length of existing wires.
7. Strip ends of wires and install pins onto (4 ea.) existing wires and wires D111X20
and D115A20N.
8. Find suitable ground connection for D115A20N, trim to length and crimp terminal on
wire. Connect D115A20N to ground terminal.
9. Slide backshell over wire harness and insert pins into connector according to
schematic on Figure 2.
10.Secure Backshell to connector and install spring clips on each end using screws and
nuts provided. Protect wires with tape then tighten backshell clamp.
Adjustment:
1. Locate and record the K factor value, which may be found on the side of the fuel flow
transducer.
2. Find the K factor value for your transducer in Table 1. Working through the hole in
the top of indicator, adjust SW1 and SW2 switches to settings indicated (See Figure
1).
Installation:
1. Connect plug to back of fuel flow indicator and secure with spring retainers.
2. Install indicator in instrument panel.
3. Program fuel flow indicator according to Digiflow Operation Manual.
