use
Before using the
AC
adaptor, please read this manual thoroughly and
retain it for future reference. See also the manuals provided with the
Reader.
How
to
use
1Connect the
AC
adaptor to the DC
IN
jack of the Reader.
2Connect to an
AC
outlet using the
AC
power cord.
The indicator on the Reader lights
up
in
red while charging, and
goes
off when
charging
is completed.
This AC
adaptor
can
be
used with either the PRS-500 or PRS-505.
(The
above
figure uses PRS-505 as an example.)
When using this AC adaptor,

use

Do
not place the unit
in
locations that

•Disconnect the power cord from the

it

cleaning
Clean the unit with asoft dry cloth, or asoft cloth lightly moistened with a
mild detergent solution.

not use any type of solvent, such
as
alcohol
or
benzine, which may damage the finish.

set forth below. Pursuant

this Limited Warranty,
Sony
will, at its option, (i) repair the
product
using
new
or
refurbished parts
or
(ii) replace the product
with

new

refurbished product. For purposes
of
this
Limited Warranty,
"refurbished"
means aproduct
or
part
that
has been returned
to
its original specifications. In
the
event
of
adefect, these are
your
exclusive remedies.
Labor: For aperiod
of
ninety
days
from
the
original date
of
purchase
ofthe
product
("Labor
Warranty"),
Sony
will, at its option, repair
or
replace
with
new
or
refurbished product, product determined
to
be defective. If Sony
elects
to
replace the
product
after this Labor Warranty has expired
but
while
the
Parts Warranty
below
is
still in
effect, it
will
do so
for
the applicable labor charge.

supply
new

refurbished replacement parts in exchange

Limited
Warranty
covers

hardware
components

cover anysoftware products

Product; any such software is provided

this Limited Warranty
will
become the property
of

This Limited Warranty

covers product issues caused

defects in material

workmanship
