The Sony® MEX-DV1700U delivers class-leading performance with multi-
CODEC and DVD/CD playback1 , video outputs and user customizable
settings. Simplify SiriusXM™ Satellite Radio3 installation with a single
dedicated connection and use the front USB 1-wire input to connect,

The MEX-DV1700U A/V Receiver plays just about every digital format you’d want on the road. This
receiver can playback CD or DVD with MP3/WMA/AAC/JPEG/Xvid/MP4 (Simple Prole) CODEC
le types1.
Front USB 1-Wire
Connect, charge, and control your iPod®2, iPhone®2, Walkman® player or other compatible USB
devices via the USB 1-Wire jack in the front of the unit. You can also view metadata like song title
and artist on the front display.
SiriusXM™ Satellite radio3
The on-board SiriusXM™ connector3 simplies satellite radio installation by eliminating
compatibility issues and provides direct connection to the new platform of tuners.
Detach face with front aux input
The easy-to-read single line LCD display shows clock, station ID and track data when playing your
digital music les from CD or front USB input. Front aux input lets you connect almost any portable
audio device to your car's sound system.
Intuitive Search Features
Use Quick-BrowZer® feature to nd music by artist, album, genre, song or playlist. Jump Mode
allows you to fast forward in a category in 10% increments while the ZAPPIN®feature can play a
6/9/30 second intro clips to help you nd a specic song.
Advanced Sound Engine
The Advanced Sound Engine uses EQ7 equalization, adjustable LPF/HPF crossovers, Listener
Position calibration, Center Speaker Optimizer (CSO) and Rear Bass Enhancer (RBE) to deliver an
impressive listening experience.
RCA outputs for external ampliers
When you’re ready to expand your system, the MEX-DV1700U oers front and selectable rear
or subwoofer pre-amp RCA outputs for external ampliers. Set the built in electronic HPF/LPF
crossovers to improve sound quality and reduce system distortion.
