How to use
Charging the unit
ʓPress and hold POWER for about 2 seconds to turn off the unit.
While the unit is on, the battery is not being charged.If you turn on the unit while the unit is charging, the
charging stops.

Computer
ʔBoot your computer, then connect it to the unit using the micro-USB cable (supplied).
The POWER indicator (red) lights up. Charging is completed in about 4 hours when connected to a
computer or connected to an AC outlet using the recommended USB AC adaptor (optional).
When charging is complete, the POWER indicator turns off.
If the battery is not charging properly, the POWER indicator (red) flashes.
To charge the battery from an AC outlet
Use the USB AC adaptor AC-UD20 (optional). For details,refer to the Operating Instructions supplied
with the USB AC adaptor. AC-UD20

Turn on the connecting audio device
Computer : Install a driver. (For Mac, there is no need to download and install a driver.)
ŞDownload and install the driver software for Windows “Sony USB Device Driver” onto a Windows computer.
ŞWhen playing High-Resolution Audio format data on your computer with the unit, install “Hi-Res Audio Player.”

ŞIf the battery is empty or being charged, the unit can be used by
connecting the headphone cable to audio devices.
ŞWhen the headphone cable is connected, the unit turns off.
ŞWhen the headphone cable is connected, the unit does not turn on.
ŞWhile using the unit with the headphone cable, the VOL +/– knob is
not available. Adjust the volume of the connected device.
Listening to music with the headphones
ʓPress and hold POWER for about 2 seconds to turn on the unit.
The POWER indicator (green) lights up.
ʔStart playback on the connected audio device.
ʕAdjust the volume.
Adjust the volume with the VOL +/– knob on the right headphone.
After using the unit
Press and hold POWER for about 2 seconds to turn off the unit.

Notes on handling

Because
the headphones
are
designed to
fit
closely
in your ears, forcing
them
against your ears
may
result in eardrum
damage
. Avoid using
the
headphones where they are liable
to
be struck by
people or other objects,

a ball,
etc.

Pressing
the headphones against your
ear
smay
produce a diaphragm click sound. This is
not
a
malfunction.
-Clean
the headphones with a soft dry cloth.

sound may
be distorted.

dirty

No sound

unit
and the audio device are
connected correctly.

Low sound
-Turn
up
the
volume
of
the
connected device.
-Turn up

volume
of
the
unit.
The
unit
does
not
turn
on.
-Charge
the
battery
of
the
unit.
-When battery life reduces
to
half,
the
battery is
approaching
the
end
of
its service life. Consult your
nearest Sony dealer
for
replacement.
Distorted sound
-
If
the
audio device
is
connected
to
the
analog
input
jack
of
the
unit
, turn
down
the volume
of
the
connected device.
-Set
the
equalizer setting
of
the
connected device
to off.
-Charge
the
battery
of
the
unit.
The batterycannot be charged.
-Turn
off
the
unit.
-Check
that
the
unit
and your
computer
are firmly
connected using
the
micro-USB cable (supplied).
-Check
that
the computer
is
turned on and
not
in
standby, sleep
or
hibernation mode.
-Check
that
the
unit
and
the
computer
are directly
connected, and not via a
USB
hub.
-Try
the
USB
connection procedure again in cases
other than those stated above.
-The
USB
port
of
the
connected
computer
may have
a
problem
. Connect the
unit
to another
USB
port
of
the
computer
if
available.
- A
USB
AC
adaptor
that
is not recommended
is
being used.
-The battery is fully charged.
If
the
batteryis fully charged,
the
POWER
indicator
may blink and
go
off, and charging may
not
start.
This
is
not a malfunction.

If

unit

not
used
for
a
long
time,
the
POWER
indicator may take a while
to
light
up
red
when
you
connect it
to
your
computer

In
this case,
do
not
disconnect
the
micro-USB cable from

unit

wait until
