Put a lot of audio data on one disc
The 1GB Hi-MD disc allows you to record up to 45 hours.It is also possible to record on a 60/74/80-
minute standard disc with about twice the recording density as on a standard MD walkman.You can
record a lot of audio data on one disc, making it easy to take along with you.
On a standard MDWalkman: Up to about 5 hours 20 minutes of recording on an 80-
minute disc (when recorded in LP4 MDLP mode)
Bi-directional data transfers between computer
and Hi-MDWalkman
Using the supplied SonicStage software, not only can you transfer audio data from the computer to
the Hi-MD Walkman at high speed, but you can also transfer audio data recorded directly on the Hi-
MD Walkman to the computer, and then manage the data on the computer.

About Hi-MDWalkman operation modes
The Hi-MD Walkman has two operation modes, “Hi-MD mode” and “MD mode”.
The operation mode is automatically recognized whenever the disc is inserted.
