Installation
Purpose of this manual
This manual is an installation manual of HKC-WL50. Intended for use by system and service engineers, this manual describes
information on installation of HKC-WL50.
Related manual
Besides this installation manual, the following manual is available for HKC-WL50.

1-2-1. Installing HKC-CN50 to the Camera Body
• If CN-4044 board (HKC-CN50) is not installed to the camera body, install CN-4044 board first to begin with the following
procedures.
• For details of this installation, refer to “Installation manual HKC-CN50”.
1-2-2. Installing HKC-WL50 (Outside Panel Assembly) to the Camera Body
For details on the installation procedure, refer to “1-3-1. Installing HKC-WL50 (Outside Panel Assembly) to the Camera Body”.

Outline of installation procedure
(1) Open the outside panel.
(2) Disconnect the two harnesses and the two
FPCs with connector.
(3) Remove the outside panel.
(4) Install the CN-4044 board (HKC-CN50) to
the camera body.
(5) Install the outside panel.
(6) Close the outside panel.

HKC-WL50 (outside panel assembly)
(1) Install the wireless unit to the HKC-WL50 (outside panel
assembly).
(2) Remove the outside panel.
(3) Remove the inside panel.
(4) Change the orientation of the DC IN connector.
(5) Replace the harness (DC-OUT) with the harness
(DC-OUT-POWER).
(6) Install the inside panel.
(7) Install the HKC-WL50 (outside panel assembly).

(1) Install the hinge plate and the lock bracket to the camera
body.
(2) Install the HKC-WL50 (Battery adaptor assembly).
(3) Attach the rating label on the camera body.

1-3. Installation Procedures
1-3-1. Installing HKC-WL50 (Outside Panel Assembly) to the Camera Body
1. Push the two buttons and open the cover of HKC-WL50 (outside panel assembly).
2. Secure the wireless unit using the mounting holes shown in the figure.
Use screws that meet the following conditions.
• Thread diameter: M2
• Depth of mounting hole: Max. 3 mm

3. Remove the three screws, and then remove the antenna bracket.
4. Install the transmission antenna and the receiving antenna to the antenna bracket.
To install the transmission antenna, use the nut supplied with HKC-WL50.
5. Attach the antenna cushion.
• Align the antenna cushion with the reference line shown in the figure below.
• Remove portion Aof the antenna cushion, if necessary.

6. Attach the antenna bracket with the three screws.
• When attaching the antenna bracket, match the two bosses with the two holes.
7. Attach the antenna cushion to the outside panel.
8. Close the cover.
Confirm that the cover has locked.

To prevent damage in the unit, turn off the power and disconnect the power cord or remove the battery before starting the
following work.
9. Open the DC OUT lid (860) in the direction of the arrow A.
10. Loosen the five screws with stopper to open the outside panel assembly in the direction of arrow B.
11. Disconnect the harness from the connector (CN102) on the PS-943 board.
12. Disconnect the two FPCs with connector (DPR-SDI) from the two connectors (CN200, CN201) on the DPR-390 board.
13. Disconnect the harness from the connector (CN001) on the TX-164 board.
