What you can do with the 80 remote control
• The BO remote control uses Bluetooth. wireless technology to operate your PS3~ system and
to control the playback of common types of disc media, including Blu-ray Oisc- (80) media.
•You can also control the playback of streaming media and control the playback of content
downloaded to the PS3- system HOD.
• Infrared (iR) technology enables you to operate peripheral devices such as your television and
AV amplifier". For IR operation you must point the IR transmitter of the BO remote control
directly at the device. Check that there are no obstructions between the BD remote control and
the device.

Preparingfor use
RemO\'e the battery CO\'er on the rear of the BD remote control and insert the supplied batteries.
Set the batteries in the correct position.

To use the BO remote control, the PS3- system software must bc version 3.60 or later. You can
check the system software version by selecting ~ (Settings)" (;~ (System Setlings)'"
(System Information] on the XMB_ (XrossMediaBar) menu of the psr system.
Registering (pairing) the SO remote control with aPS3'" system
This operation is performed only once. when rou are using the BO remote control for the first
time.
1 Turn on the PS3- system,
2 From the PS3- system'S XMB", menu, select ~ (Settings)" I.) g (Accessory Settings)
.. [Register DO Remote Controll, and then press the ® button.
3 Follow the on-screen instructions to register the BD remote control.
Hints
• For the latest usage instructions, refer to Ihe user's guide for the psr system
(hup:lJmanuals.playstation.netJdocumentJ).
• Only one BO remote control can be registcred with a psr system at a time.
• When you pair the BO remote control with another psr system, registration \\ith the original
PS3~ system is cleared.. To use the DO remote control with the original PS3~ system, you "'iII
have to pair the de"ices again.

Depending on the product being operated, the SO remote control may not control some
fratures. Some buttons may not function, or some buttons may function differently than
indicated.
Some content may havr preset playback conditions set
by the content developer. In this case,
some remote control button operations may not be available.
To turn on the psr system using the SD remote control, prcss the PS3 system button and
then press any button

If the battery charge is low
When the battery charge is low, the remote control may not operate properly or the distance
within which you can operate the remote control may be reduced.
In this case, replace both
batteries with new ones.

Operating a TVor AV amplifier of----,-..: .... --"--.~ --.
You can usc the BO remote control to operate a TV or an AV amplifier. Set the remote code to
match the product in use. For TV brands other than Sony, you must first set Ihe remote code
(refer to the lists below). At the time of purchase, the BD remote control is set for use with Sony
TVs and
AV amplifiers.
1Press the CLEAR button while pressing and holding down a DEVICES button.
Press either the TV button for a TV or the AMP button for an AVamplifier.
2 Enterthe 3 digit remote code while the DEVICES but.ton is flashing.
Trl' each code in
order and select acode thai allows you tooperate the TV or Ihe AV
amplifier with the BO remote control.
3Press the ENTER button .
After the TV
or AVamplifier remote code is set, the DEVICES button wi111ighl. Check that
you can operate the TV or the amplifier using the remOle control.

Restoring the settings to their default values
If the number was not set
During step 3, if the DEVICES butlon flashes five times in quick succession or if you cannot
operate the TV or the AV amplifier after entering the code, tryagain (starting from step I) using
adifferent code.
You can clear ali custom settings and restore the settings 10 their defauit values.
1Press and hold the following buttons in the order shown; MUTE button .... /CLEAR
button ... ENTER button
All of the DEVICES buttons will light and the settings will be restored to their default values.
Setting the remote code for a TV that is not in the list of manufacturers
For TVs that are not on the list, you can manually enter the remote code so that you can operate
the TV using Ihe BD remote control.
1Press the CLEAR button while pressing and holding down the I/C)TV button,
The TV button will tlash,
2Press the CH + button and the I/C)TV button on the SD remote control one after the
other.
Repeat this until you can operate the TV, Pressing the CH +button will increase the number,
and the CH -button will decrease the number.
3Press the ENTER button.
After the TV remote code is set, the TV button wil11ight up. Check that you can operate the
TV using the remote control.

Celte operation nest effectuee qu'une seule fois, lors de la premiere utilisation de la

1 Mettez Ie systeme PS3'" sous tension.
2 Dans Ie menu XMB_du syst~me PS3"', selectionnez ii; (Parametres)'" CI
(Parametres accessoires) + [Enregistrer la telecommande BD], puis appuyez sur la

Scion I'appareil commandC, il se peut que certaines fonctions ne puissent pas etre exl!cutees
par la telecommande BD. II se peut que certaines touches ne fonctionncnt pas ou qu'clles
fonctionnent differemmenl.
Le contenu peut parfois avoir des conditiolls de lecture predefillies ayant etc specifiees par son
dcveloppeur. Le cas echCant, il se peut que certaines commandes accessibles par les touches de
la telecommande ne soient pas disponibles.
Pour allumer
Ie systeme PS3~ ill'aide de la teleeommande BD, appuyez sur la touche systeme
PS3 puis appuyez sur n'importe quelle touche qui pcrmet de commander Ie systeme psr.
Si la charge des piles est faible
Lorsque la charge des piles est faible, il se peut que la telecommande nc fonctionnc pas
correctement ou que sa portee sait reduite. Le cas echeant, rcmplacel. les deux piles par des
neuves.

Commande d'un telev;seur ou d'un amplificateur AV

La telecommande BD vous permel de commander un televiseur ou un amplificaleur AY. Vous
devez regler Ie code de la uHoEcommande pour Ie fake correspondre i cdui de I'appareil utilise.
Pour les marques de televiseur autres que Sony, vous devez tout d'abord regler Ie code de la
telecommande (reportez.vousa la Iiste ci.dessous). Par defaut, la telttommande 50 est reglee
pour eire ulilisee avec des leleviseurs et des amplificateurs AV de marque Sony.
1 Appuyez sur la touche CLEAR tout en appuyant et maintenant enfoncee la touche
DEVICES.
Appuyez sur la louche TV pour uliliser un lelhiseur ou sur la touche AMP pour utiliser un
amplificaleur
AY.
2Saisissez Ie code de la telecommande atrois chiffres pendant que la touche DEVICES
c1ignote.
Essayez chaque code dans l'ordre puis selectionnez cdui qui vous pcrmet de commander Ie
telcviseur ou I'amplificateur AV apartir de la leloEcommande BD.
3 Appuyez sur la touche ENTER.
Une fois que Ie code de telecommande du televiseur ou de I'amplificateur AV est parametre,
la touche DEVICES s'allume. Verifiez que vous pam-ez commander Ie tele\;seur ou
I'amplificateur aI'aide de la telecommande.
Reglage du code de telecommande d'un te!eviseur qui ne se trouve pas -
dans la liste des fabricants
Pour les televiseurs non reperlories dans la liste, il est possible de saisir manuellementle code de
te!l~commande pour pouvoir commander Ie televiseur aI'aide de la telecommande 3D.
1 Appuyez sur la touche CLEAR tout en appuyant et maintenant enfoncee la touche 1/0
TV.
La touche TV clignote.
2 Appuyez sur la touche CH + et sur la touche II OTV de la telecommande BD I'une
apres I'autre.
Repetez celie operation jusqu'a ce que vous puissiez commander Ie televiseur. Appurez sur la
touche CH + pour augmenter Ie numero et sur la touche CH - pour Ie diminuer.
3 Appuyez sur la touche ENTER.
Une fois Ie code de telecommande du tileviseur parametre, la touche TV s'a1lume. Verifiez
que \'ous pouvez commander Ie lelcviseur al'aide de la lelecommande BD.
Si aucun numero n'est para metre
Au cours de lelape 3, si la touche DEVICES clignote rapidement cinq fois de suite ou si vous ne
pouvez pas commander Ie televiseur ou I'amplificateur AV apres avoir saisi Ie code, reessayez il
partir de lCtape I en utilisant un code different.

Puede usar eI Mando a distanda de BO para accionar un aparato de televisi6n a un amplificador
AV. Configure cl codigo remolo que corresponde al produclo lltilizado. Para las marcas de
televisores distintas
de Sony, primero debe configurar el codigo remoto (consulte las listas
siguientes). En
eI mpmento de]a compra, el mando a distancia de BD esta configurado para ser
utilizado can televisores yamplificadores AV de Sony.
1 Pulse el boton CLEAR al mismo tiempo que mantiene pulsado uno de los botones
DEVICES.
Pulse el bolon TV para una television 0el bol6n AMP para un amplificador AV.
2 Introduzca el codigo del mando de 3 dfgitos mientras el boton DEVICES esta
parpadeando.
Pruebe cada cMigo por orden yseleccione uno que Ie permita controlar la televisi6n 0 el
amplificador AV con el mando a distancia de BD.
3 Pulse el boton ENTER (aceptar).
Una vez configurado el c&ligo del mando de la lelevisi6n 0 del amplificador AY, eI boton
DEVICES Sf iluminara. Compruebe que puede conlrolar la television 0 eI amplificador can el
mando adislancia.
Configuraci6n del c6digo del mando para una televisi6n que no esta
incluida en la lista de fabricantes
Para los aparatos de television que no estan incluidos en la lista provisla, puede introducir
manualmente el c&ligo del mando para poder accionar la television con el mando adistancia de
BD.
1 Pulse el baton ClEAR (borrar) al tiempo que mantiene pulsado el boton II <.!:lTV.
EI boton TV parpadeara.
2 Pulse el bot6n CH +Yel boton I/<.!:lTV del mando a distancia de BO uno despues del
Olro.
Repita esta operacion hasta que pueda accionar la televisi6n. EI boton CH + aumenta eI
numero, mientras que el baton CH - 10 reduce.
3 Pulse el boton ENTER (aceptar).
Una vez establecido el c6digo del manda de la televisi6n, eI bat6n TV se iluminar.\.
Campruebe que puede cOlllrolar]a televisi6n can el mando adistancia.
