Sony EXWAVEPRO SNC-CM120 User manual

The SNC-DM160 1.3 Megapixel
Mini-dome network camera
incorporates a powerful vari-focal
3.6x zoom lens, offering a wide
viewing angle of over 100 degrees.
The Sony patented Ball-Joint Lens
Mount mechanism provides
multi-directional coverage and
quick focus adjustment ensures
fast, accurate operation.
The SNC-DM160 is housed in a
heavy-duty vandal-resistant, wall
or ceiling mountable die-cast
enclosure with an impact-resistant
polycarbonate dome.
It complies with the IP66* standard
for protection against water and
dust. The built-in heater means it
can operate down to severe
temperatures as low as
-30 °C (-22 °F).
The SNC-DM160 camera can
switch from day mode (colour) to
night mode (B/W). You can preset
the camera so it can toggle
between day mode and night
mode based on your own pre-sets
or use an automatic settings in
response to surrounding light
conditions.
Megapixel resolution provides
forensic detail
With 1.3 Megapixels, this new
generation delivers sharp and vivid
images, at even wide viewing angles.
Ideal for forensic details in security
applications like building entrances
and car parks, the Megapixel range
gives you the level of identification
detail you need without creating
over-large files or causing bandwidth
problems.
ExwavePRO technology with
sophisticated Progressive Scan CCD
– designed for challenging security
environments
These new Megapixel cameras use
ExwavePRO technology, combining
a progressive scan CCD with a
complimentary colour filter to deliver
high sensitivity levels and clear, crisp
images in even the most difficult
lighting conditions. Complimentary
colour filters allow more light to reach
the CCD when compared to primary
(RGB) colour filters more commonly
used, providing you with better
surveillance images.
Day/night mode, when used in
conjunction with ExwavePRO
technology, will dramatically improve
night-time sensitivity, increasing
visibility for operators and enhance
the quality of archive footage.
Light Funnel Function delivers high
sensitivity without blur
Light Funnel Function1enables image
data for every two pixels to be
combined horizontally and vertically to
create a three-fold increase in sensitivity
at normal shutter speeds. Unlike
systems that use slow shutter speeds
to enhance brightness, Light Funnel
Function improves brightness without
inducing blur, providing you with
extremely bright images even when
monitoring moving objects at dusk.
Light Funnel Function can be
activated automatically in response to
surrounding light conditions or you can
set-up a pre-specified time schedule.
1When the light funnel function is activated, the
image resolution is 640 x 480 (VGA).
Solid PTZ and cropping enhance
your surveillance flexibility
With electronic Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ)
capability, your operators can
immediately focus on any activity that
interests them within the field of vision.
Advanced cropping capability enables
them to quickly isolate areas of interest
or suspicious targets and capture all the
relevant detail for future reference with
minimum files sizes.
Intelligent Motion Detection
provides constant vigilance
Intelligent Motion Detection has been
seen to greatly reduce the number of
false positives and false alarms, whilst
crucially improving response times to
real incidents.
Working with the Solid PTZ function,
Sony Intelligent Motion Detection will
automatically track moving people
and objects within the field of view. It
has the ability to ignore background
noise like falling leaves or regular car
movements, but can be programmed
to alert operators to abnormal
movement. This could be abandoned
bags in a busy shopping mall, intrusion
in a secure area, or removal of a fixed
item like a picture in a gallery.
The new generation of Sony
Megapixel Network cameras with
1.3 Megapixel resolution provide you
with clear, detailed, and amazingly
bright images for surveillance and
security monitoring. Indoor, or
outdoor, the Sony Megapixel range
has been specifically designed
to make a proactive contribution
to your security operations:
• High resolution – 1.3 Megapixels
– provides the clarity you need for
detailed identification of faces or
vehicle license plates, while working
within standard bandwidth and
storage capacities
• High sensitivity provided by unique
Sony ExwavePRO and Light Funnel
Function enables bright, clear
imagery in bright, or dark lighting
environments, without image blur
• Intelligent Motion Detection reduces
false alarms and enables you to
set alarms based on movement
parameters
• Simple installation and reliable
operation in even harsh environments
is ensured by Sony design and build
This new generation of Megapixel
network cameras introduces
enhanced clarity and practical
intelligence into any security
or surveillance operation. From
airports, stadiums and shopping
malls, to corporate, banking car
parks and public spaces, the
Megapixel range will extend your
capability to protect people,
property, products and services.
