INTRODUCTION
Sound Associates manufactures two types of wireless stethoscope-style headset recei ers
designed for professional applications: the SA1531H (single-channel) and SA1533H (3-
channel). Our headsets are equipped with a sophisticated recei ing circuitry with multiple
recei ing diodes to increase sensiti ity. Also, high-performance micro speakers are utilized to
gi e the user remarkable audio reproduction.
The SA1520 and 1530 series headsets are compatible with most infrared transmission systems
currently in use. They are designed with a new industrial-strength chassis for added durability in
commercial applications. Its ad anced mechanical design ensures years of trouble-free use,
while making the headset comfortable to wear.
The SA1531H is designed to recei e a frequency modulation of 2.3 MHz, while the SA1533H is
selectable between 2.3 MHz, 2.8 MHz and 95 kHz. The recei ers are worn under the chin,
stethoscope-style and are powered by a light weight lithium polymer rechargeable battery,
designed especially for the Sound Associates’ line of recei ers.
To ensure proper set up and use of the equipment, the following instructions should be read
completely before attempting to use your recei er. If you require further assistance, please call
our Customer Ser ice Department Monday-Friday 10:00 am - 5:30 pm at (888) 772-SOUND
(7686).
HEADSET VS. NECK INDUCTION LOOP
The SA1520 series of infrared headset recei ers is equipped with an audio jack to comply with
re isions to the Americans With Disabilities Act, effecti e March 2011. The jack will
accommodate most external de ices that use a 3.5 mm (mini) jack including neck induction
loops and Cochlear de ices. Inserting the plug into the jack automatically mutes the amplifiers in
the earpiece and acti ates the external de ice. Note: The hearing aid must be equipped with
a “T” switch or have a telecoil setting to use a neck induction loop. The combination of the
two de ices is likely to gi e the user greater olume and intelligibility than with the hearing aid or
headset alone.
UNPACKING UNIT
As soon as the shipment is recei ed, inspect the unit and all components for damage incurred
by shipping. If the unit is damaged due to shipping, please keep all packing material and

kHz (right).
2 – Audio Jack: Fits most 3.5mm audio
plugs. For use with neck induction
loops, Cochlear de ices and other
compatible de ices. Note: inserting a
plug into jack will automatically mute
volume in the earpieces of the headset.
