Taking Delivery / Transit Mode
Once the Console - 20 has been positioned in its designated space the
following instructions will allow you to prepare it for use.
NOTE : To remove the Console - 20 from transit mode you will need to gain
access to the rear panel. It is important to be able to gain full access to the rear
panel yet still position the Console - 20 once out of transit mode. It is advisable
to find a position where it is able to be repositioned to its final place easily and
safely whilst still having access to the rear panel.
Transit Mode
Upon delivery the player mechanism will be locked into position by 2 x 10mm
bolts. The tone arm and platter motor are also held in place by a retaining plate
and there will be various pieces of packing and foam supports holding the
mechanism and playing components in place. It is important to work through
methodically to remove these in order to set the Console - 20 up - ready to play.
The following pages will show how to remove all these items and set up, ready
to play.
Ensure you store the removed components safely as these will be required
should you need to move the Console - 20 in the future.
Remove the packing foam
Upon delivery the Console -20 will contain various bits of card and foam
packing designed to wedge into moving parts ensuring that they do not move in
transit. These will be required to be removed. The location of the foam packing
is shown in the image below. Gently grasp and pull any foam free.

• Continue this process to build up a playlist.
Note the Console only plays entire sides and cannot play individual tracks.
Ejecting a side, record or playlist
The eject button can be used to remove the current record playing from the
turntable. If more than one side is programmed into the playlist, for instance if
the record has been set to play both sides and is currently playing side A, the
eject mode will eject just this side and then play side B.
If the eject button is held down for a few seconds, this will clear all selections
from the Console’s memory.
Using the remote control
The Console - 20 is equipped with a remote control. This can be used to make
selections and eject records, adjust the volume and lighting and select shuffle
modes. A diagram of the available functions of the remote are shown in Fig6
opposite.
PLEASE NOTE : Some of the functions on the remote control are not available

is playing, then adjust the volume using the + - Keys on the touchpad. The
VOL 1 buttons on the remote can also be used.

Powering Off the Console : Sleep Mode

ejected and the mechanism is in a safe position. Failure to power the Console
down in this way could damage the Console mechanism.

• Press the “POWER” button on the right hand side of the touch pad or
at the top remote control (Fig6) If a disc is playing it will be returned to its
position in the mechanism stack. The mechanism will then return to its home
position at the left hand side. The LED’s on the touch pad will “cascade”
and the Console will go into sleep mode. To bring the Console out of sleep
mode press the power button again.
NOTE : Sleep mode is useful if you are going to be using your Console within a
day or so. This will conserve power but still “wake’ the Console quickly should
you wish to use it.
If you are not going to use the Console for a few days then it is recommended
to use sleep mode followed by a full power off using the power switch on the
back of the Console.

Shuffle Mode and Sequential Play
The Console features a random shuffle mode as well as a sequential play mode.
These features allow continuous play until the function is disabled. If a manual
selection is made when shuffle mode is enabled then the currently playing side
will play out before the chosen selection is played. Once the manual selection
has been played shuffle or sequential mode will continue until it is disabled.
Shuffle Mode
• This mode will play the entirety of a disc (both A&B sides) before randomly
selecting another disc and playing. This mode will continue to play random
disc albums until the mode is disabled.
To Enable or disable Shuffle Mode
• Press the play button on the touchpad until the LED over the icon shows
BLUE.
• This indicates that shuffle mode is enabled.
• Shuffle mode can also be enabled using the Shuffle On/Off buttons on the
remote control.
• To disable shuffle mode, Press play again. This will disable shuffle mode
and the blue LED indicating shuffle mode will not be illuminated.
Sequential Play
This feature plays the records in ascending order e.g: 1A - 1B - 2A -2B. The
mechanism will start from its current position and then play sequentially until the
feature is turned off.
NOTE : Random shuffle mode will over ride sequential mode and sequential
mode cannot be activated when other shuffle modes are in operation.
To enable or disable Sequential Modes
• Sequential mode is only selectable via the remote control.
• Ensure random shuffle mode is not in operation.
• Press the F2 function key on the remote control.
• To disable sequential mode press F2 on the remote control.
