1. RELEASE BUTTON
Press the RELbutton to releasethe front control panel from theunit chassis, then
pull it outto remove it from the unitchassis.
When the frontcontrol panel is removed the LEDindicator flashes.
2&3&4. SEL BUTTON (Select) AND VOLCONTROL BUTTON
a) Press theSEL button briefly, repeatedly, to select desired mode.
-> VOLUME ->BASS->TREBLE -> BALANCE -> FADER->
When selecting adesired audio mode, press the VOL+or VOL- button to adjust the
audio effect.
In each mode,the waiting time is about 5seconds, and when the waiting timeis over,
it returns tothe last display mode .
The control mode of E.VOLis operated withfollowing numeric display.
- VOL: (MIN)00,01,......46, 47(MAX).
- BASS/TRE: -07,-06,...,00,...+06,+07
- BAL: 0LR9,1LR9, ..., 9LR9,..., 9LR1, 9LR0
- FAD:0FR9,1FR9, ..., 9FR9,..., 9FR1, 9FR0
b) Pressing andholding the SELbutton for longer than two secondsactivates the
cyclical mode offunctions:
->BEEP (ON/OFF) -> USER SET(FLAT/CLASSIC/ROCK/POP)
-> VOL (LAST/DEFA) ->CLK(ON/OFF)-> CLK (12/24)mode.
After selectingthe desired mode, press the VOL+or VOL- knob to select onesetup
item of thedesired mode.

BEEP ON/BEEP OFF
BEEP ON mode: The beep is generatedwhen any key is pressed.
BEEP OFF mode: The beep sound isdisabled.
VOL LAST/VOL DEFA
VOL LAST: The radio switches onat the actual volume it wasset before it was last
switched off.
VOL DEFA: Afterpressing SEL button, VOL will be displayed.Then you can
pre-select a constantswitch-on volume by using the VOLknob.
CLK ON/OFF
CLK ON: Clockwill always show on the displaywhen the power is off.
CLK OFF: Clockwill not show on the displaywhen the power is off.
5. POWER ON/OFF& MUTE
When the unitis power off, the unit will turn onby pressing any button except the
EJECT and the RELEASE button.
When the unitis power on, press and holdthe power button for more than0.5 seconds,
turns the unitoff.
When the unitis power on, pressing the powerbutton briefly will turn the MUTEon/off.
6. LCD Display
7&8. TUNE, SEEK, TRACK, SKIP UP / DOWN BUTTONS
a) During RADIOmode:
Press the >>|or |<< button briefly to manuallytune up/down to the desired radio
station frequency step by step.
Press and holdthe >>| or|<< button forlonger than 0.5 seconds, to automatically
tune up/down tothe radio stationfrequency of strong signal.
b) During SD/MMC& USB mode:
Press the >>|button briefly to play next track.
Press the |<<button briefly to play the currenttrack from the beginning of it
if the playingtime is more than 2 seconds.
Press the |<<button briefly to play the previous track if theplaying time is
less than 2seconds.
9. BAND BUTTON
During radio mode, press the BNDbutton briefly to select the radiobroadcasting
band you would like to hear. The AM/FM bandis toggled cyclically through the
tuning bands: ->FM1-> FM 2 -> FM 3-> AM 1->AM 2 ->.
In MMC/SD, USBmode, if you press BAND buttonrepeatedly, the file name, folder
name, song’s title, artistand album information will be scrolling on the LCDdisplay.
As longas the current playing MP3/WMA musiccontains relevant ID3tag information
in version 1.0/2.0 format, the 3items underlined above will be scrollingon the LCD
display; otherwise, they will not.
10. MODE BUTTON
Press it toselect RADIO, CARD(after inserting MMC/SD card), USB(after inserting
USB stick) andAUX mode.

11. CLOCK BUTTON
Press the CLKbutton briefly to display time for5 seconds on the display, and then
returns to its previous display.
Press the CLKbutton and hold for more than1 second until the time flasheson the
display. Then you can adjust HOURor MINUTE by press the VOL-or VOL+ button .
12. LOC BUTTON
Radio station searchmode is divided by this LO/DXswitch, this button can be
used to controlan attenuator in the tuner duringsearch. The detecting level
of seek, scan,auto-memory will be reduced as muchas the attenuated level
of the tuner. In radio mode, press theLOC button to change local receptionor
distance reception.
Note: This button is onlyactive for FM reception.
13. LOUDNESS BUTTON
When press briefly, the LOUD mode is turnedon, its to enhance the basssound
effect when the volume levelis low. Press again tocancel the loudness effect.
14. ST/MO BUTTON
In FM mode,press the ST button briefly toselect stereo or mono sound mode.
15. AS/PSBUTTON (Auto-storage /Preset scan)
During radio mode:
1) When press and hold formore than 1second, the radio searchesfrom the current
frequency and checksthe signal strength level until 6station are found. And then
the 6 stationsfrequency are preset to the correspondingpreset memory numbered
bank. The auto-storage operation is implemented in eachselected band. When
the auto-storage operationis finished, theradio execute thePreset scan.
2) When press briefly, the radio searchesfor each preset station in thecurrent band
and plays thatpreset station for 5 seconds, andthen searches again.
During SD/MMC orUSB mode:
TRACK SEARCH mode:
Press theAS/PS button to enter track searchmode.
In track searchmode, the LCD display TRK 000 and flashthe highest digit 0 which
the SD/MMC cardor USB stick contain.
Press the VOL+or VOL- buttons to select numberof the flashing digit from 0to 9,
and then pressthe BAND button to confirm thenumber and flash the next lower
digit 0. Followingthe same steps as above, chooseand confirm the digits until the
desires track numberhas been selected and press theBAND button to start playing
the track.
FIRST CHARACTER SEARCH mode:
In first charactersearch mode, the display will showthe files in alphabetical order
from Ato Z and0 to 9. If the filesare not saved by character namesthe unit will
display “NONE” on the screen.Use the VOL+ or VOL- buttonsto search through
the files andpress the SELbutton to play the desired file.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Before using the check list please make all the connections first.
If you still have questions after going through the checklist, please consult
your local customer service representative.
Common Symptoms
There is no power.
Cause
The fuse has blown.
The volume control is set too low.
There is no sound.
The operation keys
do not work
The antenna cable is not connected.
Insert the antenna cable firmly into the
antenna socket of the device.
No radio reception.
The built-in microcomputer is not
operating properly due to noise
Switch the device off and on again. Or press
the RESET button to reset the unit.
The device has not been wired
correctly.
Turn up the volume properly.
Check the power and ground connection
according to the wiring diagram.
Replace another fuse according to the wiring
diagram.
The car ignition is switched off. If the power supply is properly connected to
the car accessory, switch the ignition key to
ON or " ACC" " " .
Solution
In automatic search
mode the radio does
not stop at a trans-
mitting station.
Tune in to a radio station manually.The transmission signals are too
weak.

16-21. PRESET STATION MEMORIES 1-6OR(>||, INT, RPT, RDM) BUTTONS
a) During radiomode:
When pressed briefly, these buttons select a presetpre programed stations. If any
of the sixbuttons are pressed for more than2 seconds, the station currently being
listened to ismemorized into the selected preset button.
b) During SD/MMC or USB mode:
Press the TOP/>|| button briefly to pausethe playback of the SD/MMC cardor
USB stick.
Press again toresume normal playback.
Press the INTbutton to play the first 10seconds part of each track, andthe LCD will
display INT ON.
Press again tostop scan, while the currently selectedtrack will be played, and the
LCD will displayINT OFF.
Press the RPTbutton to play the current trackrepeatedly, and the LCD will display
RPT ONE.
Press again tocancel this function, and the LCDwill display RPT OFF.
Press the RPTbutton twice continuously to play thetracks in the current folder
repeatedly and theLCD display will show RPT ABM.
Press the RDMbutton to play all tracks inrandom order, and the LCDwill display
RDM ON.
Press again tocancel this function, and the LCDwill display RDM OFF.
Press the radiopreset button 6 and 5 buttonto move up and down10 tracksat a time.
22. AUX INPUT JACK
Press the modebutton to select auxiliary input playingmode. You can connectany
external audio deviceto the front auxiliary input jack.
23. USB SOCKET
In order toplay the files in the USBstick, insert the USB stick intothe USB socket.
The system will change intothe USB mode automatically, and play thefirst file from
the USB.
24. MMC/SD CARD SLOT
In order toplay the files in the MMC/SDcard, insert the MMC/SD card intothe
MMC/SD card slot.The system will change into the MMC/SD modeautomatically,
and then playthe first file in the MMC/SD.
Note:
When MMC/SD cardand USB stick are both insertedinto their slot or socket, the
system will changeinto the playback mode of thelast one.
25. FLASHING LED
When the frontcontrol panel is removed this indicatorflashes.
26. RESET BUTTON
Before operating theunit for the first time, orafter replacing the car battery or
changing the connections.Youmust reset theunit.
Press this buttonwith a pointed object. This operation will erasethe clock setting
and stored contents.
