SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. READ INSTRUCTIONS - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the
appliance is operated.
2. RETAIN INSTRUCTIONS - The safety and operating instruction should be retained for future
reference.
3. HEED WARNINGS - All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be
adhered to.
4. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS - All operating and use instructions should be followed.
5. WATER AND MOISTURE - The appliance should not be used near water, for example near a
bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming pool or in a wet basement.
6. VENTILATION - The appliance should be situated so that its location or position does not
interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, the appliance should not be situated on a bed,
sofa, rug or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings; or, placed in a built-in
installation, such as a bookcase or cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the
ventilation openings.
7. HEAT - The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat

not spilled into the enclosure through openings.
15. CARTS AND STANDS - The appliance should be used only with a cart or stand
that is recommended by the manufacturer. An appliance and cart combination
should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces
may cause the appliance and cart combination to overturn.
16. WALL OR CEILING MOUNTING - If the appliance is mounted to a wall or ceiling it should be
mounted only as recommended by the manufacturer.

18. SERVICING - The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that described in the
user’s operating instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.
19. OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING - If an outside antenna is connected to the receiver,
be sure that the antenna system is
grounded so as to provide some
protection against voltage surges and
built up static charges. Section 810 of

20. PROTECTIVE ATTACHMENT PLUG –The appliance is equipped with an attachment plug having
overload protection. This is a safety feature. See instruction Manual for replacement or resetting
of protective device. If replacement of the plug is required, be sure the service technician has
used a replacement plug specified by the manufacturer that has the same overload protection
asthe original plug.

HANDLING COMPACT DISCS
This unit has been designed to play compact discs bearing the identification logo shown
at the left. No other discs can be played.
1. Open a disc case by holding the bottom left and right sides with the right hand,
and then lifting the top cover with the left hand.
2. Press down on the center of the case and lift the disc out carefully.
3. Hold by the edges without touching the recording surface (Rainbow lighting side
isto play).
1. Foreign objects, dust and finger prints should be carefully wiped off in a straight
motion from the inside to the out side of the recorded side of the disc with a soft
cloth before use.
2. Do not expose discs to direct sun light, heating implements and high temperatures.
3. Do not bend the disc.
1. Avoid serious scratches that could cause the laser pickup to skip.
2. Do not attempt to widen the center hole in the disc. It will result in damage to the disc.
3. Do not write anything with a ballpoint pen or pencil on the disc (level) surface.
1. Never use chemicals such as record sprays, antistatic sprays or fluid, benzine
or thinner to clean compact discs. Such chemicals would irrepairably damage
the disc’s plastic surface.
2. If a disc is suddenly removed from a cold to a hot area, it will not be played due
to moisture on the disc surface. So wipe off with a soft cloth. Do not use a hair
dryer to dry moisture on discs.
HANDLING THE DISC
A. Remove the CD from the Disc tray of your unit, if it is not going to be used for a long period.
B. Keep the disc in a disc case when storing.
C. Do not store the disc where it may be exposed to :
1.Direct sunlight for a long time.
2.High temperatures via any heating implements.
3.High humidity.
INSTALLATION
This unit (and the speakers) may wall mounted or shelf mounted. Mount the
equipment horizontally on a solid wall on the back panel.
To make the screws fit the key hole slots Screw them in so that the under-
sides of the screw-heads are 3mm from the wall.

Note: For mounting on wooden or plasterboard walls,
different screws and/or wallplugs may be required-
contact your local DIY expert.
NOTE: The plastic legs must be removed from the main unit before
wall mounting. To remove the legs, slide them downward as shown.
To re-attach the legs, slide the legs upwards over the round posts at
the back of the unit. Make sure the legs are pushed up all the way.

INSTALLATION
• Unpack all parts and remove protective material.
• Insert the batteries (2xUM-4/SIZE “AAA”) into the remote control transmitter as shown in
the battery compartment.
• Do not connect the unit to the mains before checking the main voltage and before all
other connections have been made.
• Do not cover any vents and make sure that there is a space of several centimetres
around the unit for ventilation.

CONNECTIONS
A. Terminals for two loudspeakers (minimum speaker impedance 8 ohm.) Attach loud
speaker cables to the unit. Left speaker: connect the wire
to terminal ‘L’. Right speaker: connect the wire to terminal ‘R’.
B. Terminal for FM antenna. The antenna wire supplied with
the unit can be connected to terminal. Adjust the position
of FM antenna for optimum reception. For good FM stereo
reception, use an FM outdoor antenna or connect the
supplied antenna wire to your house distribution system.
C. Voltage selector (not on all version). If your version has
this selector, check that the setting corresponds with your
local mains voltage. If the selector must be reset, disconnect
the AC power cord.
D. AUX input. For connection of other sound sources.(e.g. TV or VCR audio output).
OPERATION
POWER STANDBY ON/OFF
When you first plug the unit and select the ON/OFF switch to turn on the mains, the unit
will go into standby mode. The display will show the time.
1. You can press POWER to switch on the unit.
2. The standby function of the unit remains on until the unit is switched on.
3. Pull the main plug out of the wall socket if you want to switch off the main voltage
completely.
4. For wall-mount apparatus,the unit and speaker boxes can be mount to the wall by fixing
screws.

OPERATION/TUNER
TUNING
3. Select the tuning range with the TUNER/BAND button or BAND key for remote.
4. Press For Bfor few seconds, then release the button.
• The tuner will automatically search for the first transmitter of sufficient strength.
• Repeat this procedure if you wish to select another station.
5. To tune to weak stations, briefly depress For Bcontinuously until you read the
correct frequency or the reception is at its optimum.
6. Switch to MONO if there is interference noise during FM stereo reception.
PROGRAMMING OF PRESET STATIONS
1. Select the tuning range with the BAND button.
2. Tune to the desired station as described under tuning.
3. Press MEM. “PROG” will appear "1" and will flash.
4. Press PRESET + or PRESET - to assign a number (FM 1-30/AM 1-15) to the preset
station.
5. Press MEM again. The frequency, preset number and stereo setting are now entered
in the memory.
6. Repeat this procedure to store other frequencies and preset in the memory.
TUNING TO PRESET STATIONS
Select a number between (FM 1-30/AM 1-15) by pressing:

OPERATION/COMPACT DISC/MP3
INSERTING THE MP3/WMA-CD/CD DISC
1. Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the CD door.
2. Insert a MP3/WMA-CD/CD in the tray.
3. Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the CD door.
• The CD-player starts and scans the contents list of the CD.
For CD
After a few seconds, the total playing time and number of tracks appear on the display.
For MP3/WMA-CD
After a few seconds, the total number of albums, tracks and MP3 appear on the display.
PLAYING THE ENTIRE DISC
1. Press PLAY/PAUSE RP.
• Play starts with the first track.
• The display shows the current track number and its elapsed playing time.
• When all the tracks have been played, the MP3/WMA-CD/CD player stop
pristine display.
2. To stop play, press STOP C.
3. To interrupt play, press PLAY/PAUSE RP.
4. To resume play, press PLAY/PAUSE RP again.

SELECTING A DIFFERENT TRACK DURING PLAY
1. Press For Buntil the required track number appears in the display.
2. MP3/WMA-CD mode only:
Press ALBUM/PRESET - or ALBUM/PRESET + once or more to find your desired
album, then press For Bto select the required track number.
STARTING AGAIN WITH THE TRACK THAT IS CURRENTLY PLAYING by pressing B
once. The track will be started again from the beginning.
SEARCHING FOR A PASSAGE DURING PLAY by holding For Bpressed down to
search for the required passage. If you release the button, play will continue.
Find function
For MP3/WMA
FIND BY FILE NAME
1. Press FIND once to access this search mode.
The display will show letter “A”. If any file name start with letter “A”, it will
appear on
the display. You can press For Bto search from A-Z, 0-9.
2. If any file name start with letter “A”, press stop key go to sub-mode.
3. Press PLAY/PAUSE RP key to start playing those tracks with your selected letter.
FIND BY ALBUM NAME
1. Press FIND twice to access this search mode. The display will show “Album”.
2. Press For Bto search your desired album and press PLAY/PAUSE RP to start
playing.
TEXT DISPLAY (ID 3 DISPLAY)
During MP3/WMA-CD playing, press FIND key for 2 seconds to switch to text display
it will show the file name / title / artist / album of the current track. Press FIND key
seconds again to return to the track playing time.
PROGRAMMING TRACKS
Up to 64 tracks can be stored in the memory.
1. Load a MP3/WMA -CD/CD as described previously.
2. Press MEM to start programming.
3. Press For Bto locate a particular track or album/track (MP3/WMA-CD/CD). to
store it in the memory.
4. Continue this process until you have selected all the tracks you require.
5. To stop programming at any time press STOP Cbutton.
REVIEWING THE PROGRAM
1. Press MEM to review of the tracks currently programmed will begin. The tracks will be
displayed on the LCD.
2. Press MEM again for going to the next.

PLAYING A PROGRAM
1. Press PLAY/PAUSE RP.
2. Play starts with the first track of the program.
3. When all tracks have been played, the MP3/WMA-CD/CD player stops.
CLEAR PROGRAM TRACKS
Opening and closing the CD tray will erase all programmed tracks.
REPEAT PLAY (For CD)
If at any time you wish to listen to a disc or program over and over again, the REPEAT
function will allow you to do so.
1. Press REPEAT once.
2. “REPEAT 1” will be displayed on the LCD.
3. Press REPEAT twice, “REPEAT ALL” will be displayed on the LCD.
4. Press REPEAT again to cancel the repeat function.
REPEAT PLAY (For MP3-CD)
1. Press REPEAT button once.
2. “REPEAT 1” will be displayed on the LCD.
3. Press REPEAT twice, “REPEAT ALBUM ” will be displayed on the LCD.
4. Press REPEAT three times, “REPEAT ALL” will be displayed on the LCD.
5. REPEAT four times, to cancel the repeat function.

Press RAND button on remote control once,“RANDOM” will be appear on the LCD,

Press FIND to access the search function.
FIND BY ALBUM NAME
1. Press FIND to access this search mode.
The display will show “ALBUM” and the name of the folder. You can press F
or Bto search the file name, eg: AAA, CCC etc.
2. Press PLAY/PAUSE RP key to start playing.
TEXT DISPLAY (ID 3 DISPLAY)
During MP3 playing, press FIND key for 2 seconds to switch text display mode, it will
show the file name/title/artist/album of current track. Press FIND key for 2 seconds again
to return to the track playing time.
The other functions are the same as MP3.

OPERATION/TIMER
Before setting the timer, make sure the clock is correctly set.
TIMER ON SETTING
Select TUNER or CD mode and select the desired sound source.
For TUNER
1. If you select TUNER, press For Bto select a preset station.
2. The display will show the selected preset station and freq
4. The digit of hour segment will flash more than 2 seconds.
5. Press For Bto set the hours.
6. Press TIMER again, the digit of minutes segment will flash on the display.
7. Press For Bto set the minutes.
8. Press TIMER again to store the start time.
9. Repeat steps 6~8 to set the timer off.
10. Press TIMER again to store the timer setting.
For CD
1. Insert a disc into the CD tray.

TIMER OFF SETTING
1. Press TIMER.
2. The “ H” icon will disappear.
OPERATION/SLEEP
1. Press SLEEP, “SLEEP” appear on the display.
2. Keep pressing SLEEP to adjust the sleep time in the order of 90>80>70...10 minutes.
3. To cancel the sleep mode, press SLEEP again.
