Anschluss und Aufstellung
Schalten Sie alle anzuschließenden Geräte aus und ziehen Sie deren Netzstecker
aus der Netzsteckdose.
Beachten Sie bei der Kabelwahl, dass es verschiedene HDMI-Kabeltypen gibt. Las-
sen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall von einer Fachkraft beraten.
Das Produkt unterstützt die 3D- und die Full HD-Wiedergabe (1920x1080).
a) Aufstellung
• Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine stabile, waagrechte Fläche. Schützen Sie wertvolle Möbel-
oberächen durch eine geeignete Unterlage vor Kratzspuren oder Druckstellen.
b) Signalanschluss
• Verbinden Sie den HDMI-Eingang (3) über ein geeignetes HDMI-fähiges Kabel mit dem HDMI-
Ausgang eines Wiedergabegeräts, z.B. einem Blu-ray-Player, einer Spielekonsole usw.
• Schließen Sie an den HDMI-Ausgang (2) Ihr TV-Gerät bzw. Monitor an.
Das Audiosignal wird auch dann über die Audioausgänge ausgegeben, wenn der
HDMI-Ausgang (2) nicht belegt ist.
• Verbinden Sie Ihr Soundsystem mit dem Audioausgang (1).
Beachten Sie, dass hier nur ein analoges Stereosignal ausgegeben werden kann.
Liefert der Blu-ray-Player nur ein 5.1-Audiosignal oder ein 7.1-Audiosignal an den
HDMI Audio Extraktor, so kann dieses prinzipbedingt nicht über den analogen Aus-
gang wiedergegeben werden!
Achten Sie deshalb darauf, welche Tonspur Sie beim Abspielen einer Blu-ray aus-
wählen bzw. stellen Sie Ihren Blu-ray-Player entsprechend ein.

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt dient dazu, das Audiosignal aus dem HDMI-Signal zu extrahieren. Das Audiosig-
nal wird analog (per 3,5 mm-Klinkenbuchse, 2 Kanal stereo) ausgegeben.
Als Stromversorgung darf nur die HDMI-Schnittstelle oder eine USB-Schnittstelle bzw. ein
Netzteil mit USB-Ausgang verwendet werden.
Eine Verwendung ist nur in geschlossenen Räumen, also nicht im Freien erlaubt. Der Kontakt
mit Feuchtigkeit ist unbedingt zu vermeiden.
Aus Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen dürfen Sie das Produkt nicht umbauen und/oder
verändern. Falls Sie das Produkt für andere Zwecke verwenden, als zuvor beschrieben, kann
das Produkt beschädigt werden. Außerdem kann eine unsachgemäße Verwendung Gefahren
wie zum Beispiel Kurzschluss, Brand etc. hervorrufen. Lesen Sie sich die Bedienungsanleitung
genau durch und bewahren Sie diese auf. Reichen Sie das Produkt nur zusammen mit der

c) Stromversorgung
Das Gerät kann über die HDMI-Schnittstelle mit Strom versorgt werden. Dies muss
jedoch durch das angeschlossene HDMI-Gerät unterstützt werden. Abhängig von
den angeschlossenen Geräten ermöglichen nicht alle HDMI-Geräte eine ausrei-
chende Stromversorgung des HDMI Audio Extractors.
Versorgen Sie den HDMI Audio Extractor in diesem Fall über den Anschluss
5 V/DC (4), wie unten beschrieben. Sollte der HDMI Audio Extractor auch ohne den
Anschluss 5 V/DC (4) funktionieren, kann diese Verbindung weggelassen werden.
• Verbinden Sie den kleinen Stecker des mitgelieferten USB-Kabels mit dem Anschluss USB/
POWER (4).
• Stecken Sie den großen Stecker des USB-Kabels in eine USB-Schnittstelle oder in den USB-
Ausgang eines USB-Steckernetzteils.

• Überprüfen Sie, ob am Wiedergabegerät ein Audiosignal vorhanden ist.
• Wählen Sie am Wiedergabegerät ggf. ein anderesAudioformat aus (z.B. im Menü des Blu-ray-
Players und in den Audioeinstellungen der Blu-ray).

• Kontrollieren Sie die Lautstärke-Einstellung der angeschlossenen Geräte.
• Prüfen Sie, ob evtl. die Stummschaltung an einem der angeschlossenen Geräte aktiviert wurde.
• Der Audio Extraktor kann nur arbeiten, wenn er mit Strom versorgt wird. Evtl. muss der An-
schluss USB/POWER (4) an eine USB-Stromversorgung angeschlossen werden.

• Wählen Sie am TV-Gerät/Monitor den richtigen Eingang.
• Wenn der Blu-ray-Player über verschiedene Ausgänge verfügt, so kontrollieren Sie im Ein-
stellmenü des Blu-ray-Players, ob der richtige Ausgang aktiviert ist.
• Das TV-Gerät/der Monitor muss die Wiedergabeart (z.B. 3D) unterstützen.
• Prüfen Sie, ob das TV-Gerät/der Monitor bei einer direkten Verbindung zum Blu-ray-Player
(ohne den HDMI Audio Extractor) einwandfrei funktioniert.
• Prüfen Sie die Kabel-/Steckerverbindung zwischen HDMI Audio Extractor und TV-Gerät/Mo-
nitor bzw. Blu-ray-Player. Tauschen Sie beschädigte Kabel aus.
Für 3D-Wiedergabe müssen geeignete HDMI-Kabel verwendet werden.
• Zur Wiedergabe von kopiergeschützten Filmen muss das TV-Gerät/der Monitor den HDCP-
Standard unterstützen.
• Die Auösung (oder Farbtiefe) des Wiedergabesignals des Blu-ray-Players ist zu hoch. Auf
dem TV-Gerät/Monitor erscheint z.B. die Meldung „Mode not supported“ o.ä. (Signal wird
nicht unterstützt).
• Verwenden Sie testweise ein kürzeres Kabel.
• Der Audio Extraktor kann nur arbeiten, wenn er mit Strom versorgt wird. Evtl. muss Anschluss
USB/POWER (4) an eine USB-Stromversorgung angeschlossen werden.
Handhabung
• Verwenden Sie das Produkt niemals gleich dann, wenn es von einem kalten in einen warmen
Raum gebracht wird. Das dabei entstehende Kondenswasser kann unter Umständen das
Produkt zerstören.
Lassen Sie das Produkt zuerst auf Zimmertemperatur kommen, bevor es angeschlossen und
verwendet wird. Dies kann u.U. mehrere Stunden dauern.
• Achten Sie beim Aufstellen des Produkts darauf, dass die Kabel nicht geknickt oder ge-
quetscht werden.
• Verlegen Sie Kabel immer so, dass niemand über diese stolpern oder an ihnen hängen
bleiben kann. Es besteht Verletzungsgefahr.
Wartung und Reinigung
Das Produkt ist für Sie wartungsfrei, zerlegen Sie es niemals. Eine Wartung oder Reparatur
darf nur durch einen Fachmann durchgeführt werden.
Vor einer Reinigung ist das Produkt von der Stromversorgung zu trennen.
Äußerlich sollte das Produkt nur mit einem sauberen, weichen und trockenen Tuch abgewischt
werden. Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall aggressive Reinigungsmittel oder chemische Lösun-
gen. Dadurch könnte das Gehäuse angegriffen (Verfärbungen) oder die Funktion beeinträchtigt
werden.
Staub kann sehr leicht mit einem sauberen, langhaarigen Pinsel und einem Staubsauger ent-
fernt werden.
Entsorgung
Elektronische Geräte sind Wertstoffe und gehören nicht in den Hausmüll. Entsorgen
Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden gesetzlichen

Setup and connection
Switch off all the device you intend to connect and disconnect their power plugs from
the mains socket.
Remember when choosing a cable that different HDMI cable types are available. If
in doubt, ask a professional.
The product supports 3D and Full HD playback (1920x1080).
a) Positioning
• Place the device on a stable, level surface. Protect surfaces of valuable furniture by using an
appropriate underlay to avoid scratches and pressure marks.
b) Signal connection
• Connect the HDMI input (3), using a suitable HDMI-capable cable, to the HDMI output of a
playback device, e.g., a Blu-ray player, a game console, etc.
• Connect your TV or monitor to the HDMI output (2).
The audio signal is output from the audio outputs, even if the HDMI output (2) is not
used.
• Connect your sound system to the audio output (1).
Note that only one analogue stereo signal can be output here.
If only a 5.1 or 7.1 audio signal is delivered to the audio extractor by a Blu-ray player,
such signal, as a matter of principle, cannot be reproduced through the optical out-
put!
Therefore, you should pay attention to the soundtrack you choose during Blu-ray
playback or set up your Blu-ray player correspondingly.

Intended use
The product is used to extract an audio signal from an HDMI signal. The audio signal is output-
ted as an analogue signal (via 3.5 mm jack plug, 2-channel stereo).
Power must be supplied only via the HDMI interface, a USB interface or via a power supply
unit with USB connection.
The product may only be used in enclosed indoor locations. Outdoor use is not allowed. Do not
expose to moisture, under any circumstances.
For safety and approval reasons, you may not convert and/or alter the product in any way. If
you use the product for other purposes than those described above, the product may be dam-
aged. Furthermore, improper use may cause hazards such as short-circuits, re, etc. Please
read the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. Please include these operat-
ing instructions when you pass the product on to a third party.

c) Power supply
The device is only to be supplied with power via the HDMI interface. However, this
must be supported by the connected HDMI device. Depedending on the connected
devices, not all HDMI devices provide adequate power supply for the HDMI audio
extractor.
In this case, you can supply the HDMI audio extractor with power via the
5 V/DC port (4) as described below. If the HDMI audio extractor works without the
5 V/DC port (4), this connection does not have to be made.
• Connect the small plug of the included USB cable to the USB/POWER port (4).
• Plug the large USB plug of the USB cable into a USB interface or into the USB port of a USB
power adapter.

Troubleshooting
No audio signal available
• Check if the playback device has an audio signal.
• If necessary, select a different audio format (e.g., in the menu of the Blu-ray player and in the
audio settings of the Blu-ray disc).
The HDMI output (2) and the audio output (1) can provide the following audio signals:

• Control the volume settings of the connected devices.
• Check whether the mute function is enabled at one of the connected devices.
• The audio extractor can only function if energized. It might be necessary to connect the USB/
POWER port (4) to a USB power supply.

• Select the proper input on the TV set/monitor.
• If the Blu-ray player has various outputs, check in the set-up menu of the Blu-ray player
whether the proper output is activated.
• TV set/monitor must support the playback mode (e.g., 3D).
• First check whether the TV set/monitor is working properly when connected directly to the
Blu-ray player (without the HDMI Audio Extractor).
• Then check the connection of the cable/plug between the HDMI Audio Extractor and the TV
set/monitor or Blu-ray player. Replace damaged cables.
Appropriate HDMI cables must be used for 3D playback.
• To play back copy-protected lms, the TV set/monitor should support HDCP standard.
• The resolution (or colour depth) of the playback signal from the Blu-ray player is too high for
the TV set/monitor. The TV set/ monitor shows, for example the message “Mode not sup-
ported” or similar (signal is not supported).
• For the purpose of testing, use a shorter cable.
• The audio extractor can only function if energized. It might be necessary to connect the USB/
POWER port (4) to a USB power supply.
Handling
• Never use the product immediately after moving it from a cold room into a warm one. The
condensation that forms may damage the product under certain circumstances.
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power supply and
putting it into use. In some cases, this may take several hours.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cables are neither kinked nor pinched.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. There is
a risk of injury.
Maintenance and cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for any
reason. Any maintenance or repair work may only be performed by an expert.
Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning.
The outside of the housing should only be cleaned with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do not use
aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solvents. This could damage the case (discolouration)
or impair its function.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, long-bristle brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable and do not belong in the household waste. Dispo-
se of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.

Raccordement et installation
Éteignez d’abord les appareils à connecter et débranchez-les de la prise de courant.
Attention au choix de câble car il existe plusieurs types de câbles HDMI. Demandez
conseil à un technicien en cas de doute.
Le produit prend en charge la lecture 3D et Full HD (1920x1080).
a) Installation
• Placez l‘extracteur audio sur une surface horizontale, plane et stable. Protégez les surfaces
de meubles précieux contre les marques de pression et les rayures en utilisant une base
appropriée.
b) Connexion au signal
• Connectez l‘entrée HDMI (3) à la sortie HDMI d‘un appareil de lecture, p. ex. un lecteur Blu-ray,
une console de jeu, etc. en utilisant un câble compatible HDMI approprié.
• Raccordez votre téléviseur ou moniteur à la sortie HDMI (2).
Le signal audio est reproduit via les sorties audio quand la sortie HDMI (2) n’est pas
occupée.
• Raccordez votre système audio à la sortie audio (1).
Attention, seul un signal stéréo analogique peut être reproduit ici.
Si le lecteur de Blu-ray délivre uniquement un signal audio 5.1 ou 7.1 à l’extracteur
audio HDMI, ce dernier ne peut en principe pas être diffusé via la sortie analogique !
Par conséquent, faites attention à la piste audio que vous sélectionnez pendant la
lecture d‘un disque Blu-ray ou congurez votre lecteur de Blu-ray en conséquence.

Utilisation conforme
Le produit sert à extraire le signal audio du signal HDMI. L‘émission du signal audio est analo-
gique (via jack 3,5 mm, 2 canaux stéréo).
L‘alimentation électrique doit être assurée exclusivement par une interface HDMI, une interface
USB, ou un bloc d‘alimentation avec sortie USB.
L‘utilisation n‘est autorisée que dans des locaux fermés, et non pas à l‘extérieur. Évitez impé-
rativement tout contact avec l‘humidité.
Pour des raisons de sécurité et d‘homologation, vous ne devez ni modier ni transformer ce
produit. Si le produit est utilisé à d‘autres ns que celles décrites ci-dessus, il risque d‘être
endommagé. En outre, une utilisation non conforme peut générer des risques, comme par
exemple un court-circuit, un incendie, etc. Lisez attentivement le mode d‘emploi et conser-
vez-le. Ne transmettez l‘appareil à des tiers qu‘avec le mode d‘emploi.
