OPERATION
• The uVision™ series UV-A inspection lamps are equipped with a heavy-duty power
cord.
• The lamp is shipped with the correct cord installed for the country of destination.
• Connect the plug to a power source that complies with the electrical requirements
specified on the label.
• The lamp has a three-position rocker power switch (II – UV; O – off; I – white light) on
the handle.
• The UV-365HC and UV-365MHC have White Light Intensity Adjustment Controls located
on the back plate of the lamp. The Battery Indicator is also located on the back plate of
the lamp. When the UV-365MHC battery is nearly depleted, the light will flash between
Red and Orange. Detailed instructions for recharging the battery are located on Page 4.
• WARNING: Be sure to use genuine uVision™ replacement parts. Using another
manufacturer’s replacement parts could affect product performance and will void the
warranty.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (Read all instructions)
• Do not operate the uVision™ Series UV-A/White Light LED NDT Inspection Lamp
(UV-365HC/UV-365MHC) with a damaged cord or if the lamp has been physically
damaged.
• Do not look directly into the light. ALWAYS wear the UV-absorbing protective glasses
provided when operating the lamp. Use in low-light conditions to achieve the best
inspection results. The darker the room, the greater the fluorescent contrast.
• The uVision™ is not approved for use in hazardous atmospheres. Do not attempt to use
it in areas requiring explosion-proof lighting.
• Never use this equipment in any manner not specified in these instructions because
your protection may be impaired.
• NEVER aim the lamp in the direction of another human being. It is meant for
professional fluorescent inspections ONLY!
• DO NOT attempt to modify the lens assembly or light output. Doing so may alter the
performance and intensity of the uVision™.

CHANGING THE LAMP POWER SUPPLY
The appropriate cord for the country of destination will be installed on the lamp when it is
ordered. The power cord is integrated into the lower portion of the lamp handle, forming a
cord/handle assembly. A set of detailed instructions for changing the lamp cord come with
the replacement parts. Contact Customer Service for more details. Call toll-free 1-866-230-
7305.
DISASSEMBLING THE FILTER PROTECTOR FOR MAINTENACE
The outer rubber cover/filter holder may be removed periodically to clean the Borofloat®
glass filter. To disassemble the Borofloat®Filter Protector (FP-600), first remove the front
rubber cover/filter holder. Peel the rubber cover/filter holder toward the front portion of the
lamp.
The Borofloat®glass filter will remain inside the protector. To remove the Borofloat®glass
filter, peel around the edge of the rubber cover/filter holder and push the glass filter out.
To replace or reinsert the Borofloat®glass filter into the rubber cover/filter holder, slide the
Borofloat®glass filter into the channel of the rubber cover/filter holder. Manipulate the rubber
cover around the filter. Ensure the glass filter is evenly seated.
REPLACING THE UV LENSES
The UV-A lenses (UL-110) covering the three UV-A LEDs must be replaced over time. They
will solarize (become cloudy and yellow) from repeated use. A set of detailed instructions
come with the replacement UV-A lenses (UL-110). See Replacement Parts section and
contact Customer Service for more details.
ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIFICATIONS
The uVision™ series lamps are designed to be safe under the following conditions:
• For Indoor/Outdoor Use (dustproof and protected against jets of water);
• Temperature 41°F to 122°F (5°C to 50°C);
• Mains supply voltage fluctuations not to exceed ±10% of the nominal voltage.
LIMITED WARRANTY
The warranty policy for the uVision™ lamp is provided on the Certificate of Limited Warranty
enclosed separately with each unit. NOTE: For assistance of any kind, please contact the
Customer Service Department at Spectro-UV. Provide the model, the serial number of the
unit, and the date of purchase. The unit’s serialization information is located (1) on the
packaging the unit is shipped in, (2) engraved on the unit’s handle, and (3) labeled on the
reverse side of the unit’s back plate.

Blink Orange and Red = Low Battery; time left approx. 10 – 15 mins
Red = Dead Battery, Approx. 5 minutes or less remaining

MEASURING LAMP INTENSITY
To ensure that your uVision™ series lamp is operating at the required UV intensity, it should
be checked periodically. Spectro-UV offers a variety of sensors and meters.The AccuPRO™
XP-2000 combines the functionality of a UV and visible light radiometer/photometer, and is
specially designed to measure UV irradiance with wavelengths of 320–400nm (with peak
at 365nm) and visible light from 460–675nm (with peak at 555nm). Other suitable meters
include the AccuMAX™ XRP-3000 radiometer/photometer kit, using dual-wavelength
UV-A and VIS sensor detectors to accurately measure the irradiance of a light source. The
AccuMAX™ XR-1000 digital readout unit with the XS-365 UV sensor or the DM-365XA
digital readout unit can also be used for UV-A measurement. For more information about

CHARGING AND USAGE OF THE BP-30 BATTERY PACK (UV-365MHC ONLY)
The BP-30 battery pack must be fully charged before first use.
• Check if the voltage characteristics of the battery charger match the voltage of the AC
outlet.
• Align the male connector of the smart charger to the female connector of the battery pack
(BP-30) and plug them together. Twist the ring on the charger connector to make a tight
connection.
• Attach the AC cord supplied to the charger and plug the unit into a properly regulated AC
outlet.
• The indicator light on the charger will show Red while it is charging and Green when the
battery is charged. A full charge will take approximately 2 hours.
• After the battery is charged, unplug the charger from the outlet first. Unplug the charger
from the battery pack.
For AC Operation
• Align the male connector of the lamp to the female connector of the AC adapter and plug
them together.Twist the ring on the adapter connector to make a tight connection.Attach the
plug to the corresponding AC power source.
For DC Operation
• Align the male connector of the lamp to the female connector of the receptacle on the fully
charged BP-30 battery pack.
• The Battery Indicator light will be Orange when the battery is charged. When the battery is
nearly depleted, the light will flash between Red and Orange.
CARE AND USE OF NICKEL-METAL HYDRIDE (NiMH) BATTERIES
• NiMH battery packs last longer when charged and stored in a temperature range between
50°F to 86°F (10°C to 30°C) away from heat, sunlight and humidity.
• Always charge batteries to full capacity before long-term storage (approximately 30 days)
to prevent aging.After storage they must be charged, which may require conditioning (two or
three charge/discharge cycles) to reach full capacity.
• Do not subject these batteries to repeated deep discharges that run the batteries down
completely on a regular basis as this will greatly shorten battery life.
• NiMH batteries generally have no voltage sag until the last 10% of charge.
• NiMHs have no toxic lead or mercury, and a life expectancy of 500 charge/discharge cycles
or more, provided the battery is not overcharged or heavily discharged. Recycle according
to local disposal laws.

EXCLUSIVEMENT DESTINÉ À UNE UTILISATION PAR DES PROFESSIONNELS
FONCTIONNEMENT
• Les lampes d’inspections UV-A de la série uVision™ sont équipées d’un cordon d’alimentation
renforcé.
• La lampe est livrée avec le cordon correctement installé pour le pays de destination.
• Branchez la fiche à une source d’alimentation qui satisfait aux exigences électriques spécifiées sur
l’étiquette.
• La lampe dispose d’un interrupteur à bascule à trois positions (II – UV; O-arrêt; I – lumière
blanche) sur la poignée.
• Les UV-365HC et UV-365MHC sont dotées d’une commande de réglage de l’intensité de la
lumière blanche sur la plaque arrière. Le témoin du niveau de batterie se trouve également sur
la plaque arrière de la lampe. Lorsque la batterie est presque épuisée, la lumière clignote en
alternance orange et rouge. Les instructions détaillées pour la charge de la batterie se trouvent
page4.
• AVERTISSEMENT: Veillez à utiliser des pièces de rechange uVision™. L’utilisation de pièces de
rechange d’un autre fabricant peut affecter les performances des produits et annule la garantie.

CHANGEMENT DU CORDON D’ALIMENTATION
Le cordon approprié pour le pays de destination sera installé sur la lampe lors de la commande.
Le cordon d’alimentation est intégré dans la partie inférieure de la poignée de la lampe, formant un
assemblage cordon/poignée. Des instructions détaillées pour procéder au changement du cordon de
la lampe sont jointes aux pièces de rechange. Contactez le service clientèle pour plus de détails. Aux

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ IMPORTANTES (Lire toutes les instructions)
• N’utilisez pas la Série uVision™ Lampe d’inspection NDT à LED UV-A / lumière blanche
(UV-365HC/UV-365MHC) avec un cordon endommagé ou si la lampe a été endommagée.
• Ne regardez pas directement le faisceau lumineux. Portez TOUJOURS les lunettes absorbant
les UV fournies lors de l’utilisation de la lampe-torche. À utiliser dans des conditions de faible
éclairage pour optimiser les résultats d’inspection. Plus
l’environnement est sombre, plus le contraste par fluorescence est élevé.
• La uVision™ n’est pas homologuée pour une utilisation dans des atmosphères dangereuses. Ne
tentez pas de l’utiliser dans des zones nécessitant un éclairage a ntidéflagrant.
• Respectez toujours les consignes d’utilisation; tout usage non conforme peut compromettre votre
sécurité.
• N’orientez JAMAIS la lampe-torche en direction d’une autre personne. Cet appareil est destiné
aux inspections par fluorescence professionnelles UNIQUEMENT!
• Ne modifiez EN AUCUN CAS le module de la lentille ou la sortie lumineuse. Toute modification
peut altérer les performances et l’intensité de la uVision™ et la rendre non conforme.

DÉMONTAGE DU FILTRE PROTECTEUR POUR LA MAINTENANCE
Le couvercle en caoutchouc externe / porte-filtre peut être enlevé périodiquement pour nettoyer le filtre
en verre Borofloat®. Pour procéder au démontage du protecteur de filtre Borofloat®(FP-600), retirez
d’abord le couvercle en caoutchouc / porte-filtre. Soulevez le couvercle en caoutchouc / porte-filtre vers
la partie avant de la lampe.
REMPLACEMENT DES LENTILLES UV
Les lentilles UV-A (UL-110) couvrant les trois LED UV-A doivent être remplacées après un certain
temps. Elles subissent une solarisation (se troublent et jaunissent) suite à des utilisations répétées. Des
instructions détaillées sont jointes avec les lentilles de rechange UV-A (UL-110). Consultez la section
relative aux pièces de rechange et contactez le service clientèle pour plus de détails.
CONDITIONS ENVIRONNEMENTALES
Les lampes de la série uVision™ sont conçues pour être sûres dans les conditions suivantes:
• Usage intérieur / extérieur (totalement protégées de la pénétration de poussières et de jets d’eau à
basse pression) ;
• Température 5 –50°C (41 –122 °F);
• Les variations de la tension d’alimentation secteur ne doivent pas dépasser ±10% de la tension
nominale.
GARANTIE LIMITÉE
La politique de garantie pour la lampe uVision™ est fournie sur le certificat de garantie limitée
accompagnant séparément chaque unité. REMARQUE: Pour toute aide, veuillez contacter le service
clientèle de Spectro-UV. Indiquez le modèle, le numéro de série de l’appareil et la date d’achat. Les
informations de sérialisation de l’unité se trouvent (1) sur l’emballage dans lequel l’appareil est expédié,
(2) gravées sur la poignée de l’appareil et (3) marquées au verso de la plaque arrière de l’appareil.
Le filtre en verre Borofloat®reste à l’intérieur du protecteur. Pour retirer le filtre en verre Borofloat®,
relevez le bord du couvercle en caoutchouc / porte-filtre et retirez le filtre en verre. Pour remplacer ou
réinsérer le filtre en verre Borofloat®dans le couvercle en caoutchouc / porte-filtre, faites glisser le filtre
en verre Borofloat®dans la rainure du couvercle en caoutchouc / porte-filtre. Appuyez le couvercle en
caoutchouc autour du filtre. Assurez-vous que le filtre repose uniformément.
ÉTAT DE L’INDICATEUR LED DE BATTERIE
Orange: la batterie est bonne; la batterie clignote
Orange et rouge: la batterie est faible; Temps restant = 10-15 minutes
Rouge: la batterie est morte; environ 5 minutes ou moins

CHARGEMENT ET UTILISATION DU BLOC-BATTERIE BP-30
(UV-365MHC UNIQUEMENT)
Le bloc-batterie BP-30 doit être entièrement chargé avant la première utilisation.
• Vérifiez que les spécifications de tension du chargeur de batterie correspondent à la tension de la
sortie CA.
• Positionnez le connecteur mâle du chargeur intelligent au connecteur femelle du bloc-batterie
(BP-30) et branchez-les. Tournez l’anneau sur le connecteur du chargeur pour serrer le raccord.
• Fixez le cordon d’alimentation CA fourni au chargeur et branchez l’appareil dans une prise secteur
CA à la bonne tension.
• Le témoin de charge est rouge pendant la charge et passe au vert lorsque la batterie est chargée.
Une charge complète dure environ 2heures.
• Une fois la batterie chargée, débranchez tout d’abord le chargeur de la prise secteur. Débranchez
le chargeur du bloc-batterie.
Pour un fonctionnement CA
• Positionnez le connecteur mâle de la lampe au connecteur femelle de l’adaptateur CA et branchez-
les. Tournez l’anneau sur le connecteur de l’adaptateur pour serrer le raccord. Branchez la fiche à
la source d’alimentation CA correspondante.
Pour un fonctionnement CC
• Positionnez le connecteur mâle de la lampe au connecteur femelle du support sur le bloc-batterie
BP-30 chargé.
• La lumière du témoin est orange lorsque la batterie est chargée. Lorsque la batterie est presque
épuisée, la lumière clignote en alternance orange et rouge.
PRÉCAUTION ET UTILISATION DES BATTERIES À HYDRURE MÉTALLIQUE DE
NICKEL (NiMH)
• Les batteries NiMH ont une meilleure longévité lorsqu’elles sont chargées et stockées dans une
plage de température comprise entre 10– 30°C (50– 86°F), et protégées de la chaleur, de la
lumière du soleil et de l’humidité.
• Chargez toujours les batteries à bloc avant de les stocker pour une longue période (env.30jours)
pour prévenir le vieillissement. Elles doivent être rechargées après stockage, ce qui peut
nécessiter de procéder à un conditionnement (deux ou trois cycles de charge/décharge) pour
atteindre la capacité totale.
• Ne soumettez pas ces batteries à des décharges complètes à répétition qui épuisent
complètement les batteries, car cela réduit considérablement leur durée de vie.
• En général, la tension des batteries NiMH ne flanche jamais avant d’atteindre 10 % de charge.
• Les NiMH ne contiennent pas de plomb ou de mercure toxique et leur durée de vie atteint 500
cycles de charge/décharge ou plus, à condition que la batterie ne soit pas surchargée ou fortement
déchargée. Recyclez conformément à la réglementation locale en vigueur sur l’élimination des
déchets.
MESURE DE L’INTENSITÉ DE LA LAMPE
Pour vous assurer que votre lampe de série uVision™ fonctionne à l’intensité de rayonnement UV
nécessaire, elle doit être contrôlée régulièrement. Spectro-UV propose une grande variété de capteurs
et compteurs. L’AccuPRO™ XP-2000 combine les fonctionnalités d’un radiomètre/photomètre pour
lumière UV et visible, et est spécialement conçu pour mesurer le rayonnement UV avec des longueurs
d’ondes de 320–400 nm (avec pic à 365nm) et la lumière visible de 460– 675nm (avec pic à 555nm).
D’autres compteurs appropriés comprennent le kit de radiomètre/photomètre AccuMAX™ XRP-3000,
utilisant des détecteurs à capteurs de doubles longueurs d’ondes UV-A et VIS pour mesurer avec
précision le rayonnement d’une source lumineuse. L’unité de lecture numérique AccuMAX™ XR-1000
avec le capteur UV XS-365 ou l’appareil de lecture numérique DM-365XA est utilisable également pour
