APPROXIMATE DISTANCES OF SUPPRESSION
Efficiency of suppression is not the same for different devices. For iPhones (4 & 5)
and most Chinese transmitters (bugs) jamming distance is more than 10 meters.
For camcorders the distance is about 3 - 4 meters. For some Samsung phones the
distance of suppression may not exceed 1 meter.
In combi mode the audio suppression is possible at any distance with any
recorder, providing that the level of acoustic noise slightly exceeds the level of the
speech.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
SPYSONIC DESKTOP XL COMBI - is high-power 2-mode (ultrasound + sound)
desktop version of ultrasound jammer of audio recorders with ULTRANOISE
technology. The jammer is disguised as desktop speaker. Speaker dimensions (cm)
25x15x18. Number of ultrasoud transmitters: 16.
2-mode ultrasound jammer of audio recorders (jammer of audio transmitters,
jammer of wired microphones, supressor of audio recorders in mobile phones) is
sound and ultrasound noise generators combined in one case. Ultrasound
interference is slightly audible and good at suppression of wired microphones,
voice recorders Edic, iPhones (models 4 and 5) and various bugs. Not all recorders
and cellular phones are susceptible to ultrasound (probability of suppression by
ultrasound is about 50%), that’s why sound interference generator with floating
spectrum is added to this model, increasing the efficiency of suppression up to
100%. It should however be borne in mind that the sound of the audio noise
generator (unlike ultrasound generator) is quite audible and its use may not
always be appropriate.

ULTRANOISE TECHNOLOGY
ULTRANOISE technology is 2 key points:
1. Ultrasound carrier is modulated by special noise signal of audio range. The
result is a signal that is perceived by the human ear as a quiet sound like the
background AC of an unattached speaker. However, in a microphone of sound
recorder the sound turns into a loud noise that overrides all other sounds.
2. Very high efficiency of conversion of electrical energy into ultrasound. This
allows one to create powerful and energy-effective device.
CONTROLS AND INDICATORS
On the side panel there are power button (POWER), volume control of audio
interference (VOLUME) and tone controls (TREBLE) and (BASS).
On the rear panel of the jammer there are power cord and power indicator (red
LED ).

USAGE
To activate the device, connect the speaker to mains and press the POWER button
on the side panel. Red LED on the back panel indicates the device is on.
Ultrasound suppressor starts working immediately after switching on.
To enable additional audio noise generator with floating spectrum (combined
mode), set the volume of the sound generator by VOLUME control. Adjusting the
tone of audio noise is made by TREBLE and BASS regulators.
ULTRASOUND JAMMER
To enable only ultrasound jammer, press POWER button on the side panel.
VOLUME control must be set to the leftmost position. It is advisable to point the
suppressor toward possible location of sound recording device.
COMBI MODE
To turn on the combined mode, turn on the device by POWER button and set the
level and tone of the audio noise generator by VOLUME, TREBLE and BASS
controls. Recommended position of the TREBLE control - at minimum, the BASS
control - at maximum. To maximize the effectiveness of suppression, the volume
of sound interference must correspond to the volume of speech. Volume and
tone controls do not affect the ultrasound part of the jammer.
CONDITIONS OF EXPLOITATION
SPYSONIC DESCTOP can be used over a wide temperature range (-20⁰C ... + 50⁰C)
with humidity up to 95%. Operating in direct exposure to rain or snow is not
allowed.
