IMPORTANT!
Due to sharp parts and potential hazards, this
appliance is not suitable for use by children under
the ages of 8.
When off, please keep the appliance and cord out
of the reach of children. Children over 8 years
must be supervised by an adult, at all times, when
using or cleaning the appliance. This is not a toy!
The appliance can be used by persons with

if they have been given sufficient supervision and
instruction when doing so, and understand the
use and hazards involved.
Always disconnect the appliance from the mains
supply socket if it is left unattended, and before:

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WHEN USING ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
1 Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.
2 This appliance is intended for household use only.
It is not suitable for commercial use such as staff
kitchen areas and other working environments.
3 Ensure that the appliance is always placed on a firm and flat
surface, away from the edge of the work top. Do not place
the appliance onto a metal tray or metal surface whilst in use.
Do not place the appliance on, or near, a hot gas or electric
burner or in a heated oven. Do not operate the appliance with
wet hands or barefoot.
4 Keep the appliance and mains cable away from the edges of
work tops and out of reach of children. Route the cable so
it does not overhang, and cannot be tripped over or caught.
5 Do not let the cable run across an open space, such as
between a low socket and a table, or across any hot area, such
as a cooker. Heat may damage the mains cable.
6 The connections on both sides of the mains cable (the
appliance and socket) should never be strained. If the mains
cable is damaged it must be replaced by a qualified person or
service to avoid any hazards.
7 Do not use the appliance in a bathroom, near
water, or outdoors. Do not immerse any of the
parts (appliance, mains cable, plug) in water or
other liquids to protect against fire, electric shock
and personal injury.
8 Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or
malfunctions. Do not leave the appliance unattended
whilst in use. Use and store it out of reach of children.
9 This appliance must not be operated by an external timer or
a remote control system.
10 SQ Professional Ltd may not be held liable for eventual
damages to persons, animals or objects caused by incorrect
installation or deriving from improper, erroneous or
unreasonable use.
11 This appliance is not suitable for processing very
hard ingredients, such as ice cubes, coffee beans,
hard spices, grinding granulated sugar to caster
sugar, or processing hot liquids.
12 Only process small amount of food at a time.
13 Blades are very sharp, handle with care. Always
hold the blade 5at the top away from the cutting
edge when handling or cleaning.
14 Ensure safety cover 3and motor block 2are securely locked
in place before operating the appliance.
15 Switch off the appliance and unplug from the socket before
changing attachments or approaching parts that move while
in use. Unplug the appliance when not in use.
16 Ensure that the appliance has come to a complete stop
before cleaning and storing away. Keep the attachments,
motor block

, cable, and plug away from sources of heat.
Store in a dry place.
17 Do not use this appliance for any other purpose
than its intended use.
18 Use the glass bowl only with the motor block

supplied (and
vice versa) and do not tamper the motor block in any way.

BEFORE FIRST USE
ALL PARTS OF THE APPLIANCE ARE TO BE THOROUGHLY CLEANED
BEFORE BEING USED FOR THE FIRST TIME (SEE SECTION ON CLEANING).
BE CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING THE BLADE AS IT IS VERY SHARP.
BEFORE FIRST USE
1 Make sure your electricity supply is the same as the one
shown on the underside of the power unit.
2 Remove all the packaging and place the appliance on a dry,
flat, heat-resistant, non-flammable surface.
3 Wash and dry all the parts thoroughly (see ‘Cleaning’).
ASSEMBLY
1 Place the 8anti-slip rubber base on a flat, dry surface. Put
the 6glass bowl on the base.
2 Fit the blade 5on the drive shaft 7. Place ingredients in
the bowl.
3 Ensure that the sealing ring 4is attached to the safety cover
3and place the assembled cover onto the bowl.
4 Insert the motor block 2into the safety cover 3. Allign the
arrow on the motor block 2with the arrow on the safety
cover 3. The Mini Chopper will not operate unless the motor
block, safety cover and the bowl are correctly engaged.

CHOPPING TIPS
DO NOT TOUCH MOVING PARTS AND KEEP HANDS AND UTENSILS
OUT OF THE BOWL WHEN THE APPLIANCE IS IN OPERATING MODE
TO REDUCE RISK OF SEVERE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO
THE APPLIANCE.
· The capacity of the bowl is 600ml. Never exceed 200ml of
liquid or 350ml marking of dry ingredients.
· Best results are obtained by chopping small quantities at
one time.
· To ensure even processing, stop the appliance and scrape
down any food with a plastic spatula.
· Cut food such as carrots, celeries, mushrooms, green
peppers, onions, etc. into small pieces (1cm chunks) to obtain
uniform consistency.
· To chop dry foods such as nuts, bread crumbs, crackers,
cookies, etc. cut them in smaller pieces. Ensure that the bowl,
blade, safety cover and the food are thoroughly dry.
· When processing heavy ingredients, avoid running the motor
continuously for periods over 30 seconds without resting.
· Do not process raw or cooked meat, cheese, coffee
beans, chocolate pieces as this could damage the
chopper.
· Beware of over processing certain ingredients. Stop and check
the consistency frequently.
· When preparing food for babies or infants, always check that
the ingredients are thoroughly blended before feeding.
CLEANING
THE APPLIANCE SHOULD BE THOROUGHLY CLEANED AND DRIED
AFTER EVERY USE.
1 Switch off and unplug the appliance.
2 Handle the blade with great care when removing it from the
bowl - it is extremely sharp.
3 Wash the bowl 6, safety cover 3, sealing ring 4, blade
5and anti-slip rubber base 8in warm, soapy water then
dry thoroughly. Alternatively you can wash these parts on the
top rack of the dishwasher.
4 Wipe the motor block 3with a damp cloth and dry it
thoroughly.

instructions, check the plug fuse and main fuse/circuit breaker. If it
is still not working, consult your retailer.
If that does not solve the problem ring Customer Service – they may
be able to offer technical advice. Please have the Model Number
to hand, as they will not be able to help you without it.
If you are advised to return the product to us, pack it carefully,
include a note with your name, address, day phone number, and
description of the problem.
If under a guarantee, say where and when it was purchased and

WIRING
The product is fitted with a 5A BS1362 fuse in a 5A
BS 1363 plug. To replace the plug, fit the blue wire
to N and the brown wire to L. Fit the cord grip. If in
doubt, call a qualified electrician. If you remove the
plug, dispose of it.
Do not use a non-wireable plug unless the fuse cover
is in place.
