
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WHEN USING ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
1 Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.
2 This appliance is intended for household use only.
It is not suitable for commercial use such as kitchen
areas and other working environments.
3 Ensure that the appliance and mains cable are always placed on
a firm and flat surface, away from the edge of the worktop and
out of reach of children. Do not place the appliance onto a metal
tray or metal surface whilst in use. Do not place the appliance
on, or near, hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven. Do not
operate the appliance with wet hands or barefoot.
4 Route the mains cable so it does not overhang, and cannot be
tripped over or caught.
5 Do not let the mains cable run across an open space, such as
between a low socket and a table, or across any hot area, such
as cooker, the heat may damage it.
6 The connections on both sides of the mains cable (the appliance
and socket) should never be strained. If the mains cable is
damaged it must be replaced by a qualified person or service
to avoid any hazards.
7 Do not use the appliance in a bathroom, near water,
or outdoors. Do not immerse any of the parts
(appliance, mains cable, plug) in water or other
liquids to protect against fire, electric shock and
personal injury.
8 Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or
is malfunctioning. Do not leave the appliance
unattended whilst in use. Use and store it out of
reach of children.
9 This appliance must not be operated by an external timer or a
remote control system.
10 SQ Professional Ltd may not be held liable for eventual damages
to persons, animals or objects caused by incorrect installation or
deriving from improper, erroneous or unreasonable use.
11 Keep hands and utensils out of the jug whilst
processing food to reduce the risk of severe injury to
persons or damage to the appliance. A spatula may
be used but only when the appliance is not running.
12 The top of the motor block
should always be kept dry. Before
cleaning and drying disconnect the power supply. Ensure that
the motor block
is completely dry before you reconnect the
appliance to power supply.
13 To reduce the risk of injury ensure that blades are
correctly attached. Handle the blades carefully as
they are extremely sharp.
14 Ensure the blender jug
, mixing bowl
, juicing bowl
and any attachments are securely in place before operating the
appliance.
15 Always close the lid
or have the mixing bowl cover
securely locked in place before you switch the appliance on.
Do not open the lid
or the mixing bowl cover
whilst the
appliance is running.
16 Do not switch on the appliance when it is empty. Ensure there is
the at least a minimum amount of liquid or solid ingredients in
the blender jug
or mixing bowl
.
17 Keep hands and utensils out of the blender jug
or while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury
to persons or damage to the blender. A scraper may
be used but only when the blender is not running.
18 Always use the push cover
to push food down the feeder tube
.
Never use your fingers, a fork, a spoon, a knife or other utensils.
19 Never process liquids and ingredients hotter than
40˚C as they may be ejected due to sudden build up
of steam.
20 Use only one blade at a time.
21 Only remove the accessories when the appliance has
come to a complete stop.
22 Switch off the the appliance and unplug from the socket before
changing attachments or approaching parts that move while in
use. Unplug the appliance when not in use.
23 Ensure that the blender has come to a complete stop before
cleaning and storing away. Keep the attachments, motor block
, cable, and plug away from sources of heat. Store in a dry place.
24 Do not use the food processor for any other purpose than its
intended use.
25 Use the blender jug
, mixing bowl
and citrus juicer
only
with the motor block
supplied (and vice versa) and do not
tamper with the connector
in any way.
26 The maximum duration for continuous operation of the
appliance is 40 seconds, the appliance must rest for 30 minutes
before restarting. Thus after five 40 second periods, the
appliance should be rested for 1 hour.
