IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WHEN USING ANY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
1 Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.
2 This appliance is intended for household use only.
It is not suitable for commercial use such as kitchen
areas and other working environments.
3 Ensure that the appliance and mains cable are always placed on
a firm and flat surface, away from the edge of the worktop and
out of reach of children. Do not place the appliance onto a metal
tray or metal surface whilst in use. Do not place the appliance
on, or near, hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven. Do not
operate the appliance with wet hands or barefoot.
4 Route the mains cable so it does not overhang, and cannot be
tripped over or caught.
5 Do not let the mains cable run across an open space, such as
between a low socket and a table, or across any hot area, such
as cooker, the heat may damage it.
6 The connections on both sides of the mains cable (the appliance
and socket) should never be strained. If the mains cable is
damaged it must be replaced by a qualified person or service
to avoid any hazards.
7 Do not use the appliance in a bathroom, near water,
or outdoors. Do not immerse any of the parts
(appliance, mains cable, plug) in water or other
liquids to protect against fire, electric shock and
personal injury.
8 Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or
is malfunctioning. Do not leave the appliance
unattended whilst in use. Use and store it out of
reach of children.
9 This appliance must not be operated by an external timer or a
remote control system.
10 SQ Professional Ltd may not be held liable for eventual damages
to persons, animals or objects caused by incorrect installation or
deriving from improper, erroneous or unreasonable use.
11 Keep hands and utensils out of the jug whilst
processing food to reduce the risk of severe injury to
persons or damage to the appliance. A spatula may
be used but only when the appliance is not running.
12 The top of the motor block

should always be kept dry. Before
cleaning and drying disconnect the power supply. Ensure that
the motor block

is completely dry before you reconnect the
appliance to power supply.
13 To reduce the risk of injury ensure that blades are
correctly attached. Handle the blades carefully as
they are extremely sharp.

16 Do not switch on the appliance when it is empty. Ensure there is

be used but only when the blender is not running.

Never use your fingers, a fork, a spoon, a knife or other utensils.
19 Never process liquids and ingredients hotter than
40˚C as they may be ejected due to sudden build up
of steam.
20 Use only one blade at a time.
21 Only remove the accessories when the appliance has
come to a complete stop.
22 Switch off the the appliance and unplug from the socket before
changing attachments or approaching parts that move while in
use. Unplug the appliance when not in use.
23 Ensure that the blender has come to a complete stop before
cleaning and storing away. Keep the attachments, motor block

, cable, and plug away from sources of heat. Store in a dry place.
24 Do not use the food processor for any other purpose than its
intended use.

26 The maximum duration for continuous operation of the
appliance is 40 seconds, the appliance must rest for 30 minutes
before restarting. Thus after five 40 second periods, the
appliance should be rested for 1 hour.

BEFORE FIRST USE
BEFORE ATTACHING OR REMOVING ANY PARTS, MAKE SURE THE POWER
CORD IS UNPLUGGED FROM THE POWER OUTLET AND SPEED DIAL IS IN
THE ‘O’ POSITION.
Prior to first use, wash all the parts that come into contact with food
with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly (see section on Cleaning
& Storage).
ALWAYS TAKE CARE WHEN HANDLING THE STAINLESS STEEL
BLADES AS THEY ARE VERY SHARP.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow the Important Safeguards and instructions below to achieve the
best results and to keep your appliance in good working condition.
• Do not exceed the recommended maximum quantities.
• Do not use the appliance to process ingredients that are hard (e.g.
frozen meat, inedible parts of ingredients such as bones and pips),
rubbery or sticky (e.g. candied orange peel).
FOOD PROCESSING
ALWAYS REMOVE THE BLADES BEFORE REMOVING THE INGREDIENTS
FROM THE BOWL FIRST. THE APPLIANCE WILL NOT OPERATE IF THE
MIXING BOWL COVER OR BLENDER JUG LID ARE NOT CORRECTLY FITTED.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE BLENDER JUG LID OR MIXING BOWL
COVER WHILE THE APPLIANCE IS IN OPERATION.
CHOPPING
Suitable for single stage cake mixes, kneading butter into flour,
adding water to mixtures and chopping, puréeing and whisking.
1 Ensure that the appliance is unplugged then place the drive shaft

The whisking function has the same operating steps as the chopping

SLICING, GRATING AND SHREDDING
FOOD SHOULD BE CLEANED AND CUT INTO PIECES THAT FIT INTO THE
FEEDER TUBE. ALWAYS USE THE PUSH COVER TO PUSH THE FOOD DOWN.
Suitable for processing firm foods such as carrots and hard cheeses
and softer foods such as tomatoes and cucumbers.

the contents out.
JUICING
WHEN JUICING LARGE AMOUNT OF CITRUSES ENSURE THAT THE LIQUID
IN THE MIXING BOWL DOES NOT EXCEED THE 2000ML.

CLEANING

CARE WHEN HANDLING THE STAINLESS STEEL BLADES. THE BLADES
CAN NOT BE SHARPENED.

THOROUGH CLEANING

upper part of the dishwasher but make sure that the water never
exceeds a maximum temperature of 50°C.

STORAGE
MAKE SURE THAT YOUR APPLIANCE AND ALL ITS ACCESSORIES ARE
COMPLETELY DRY BEFORE PUTTING THEM AWAY.

WIRING
This appliance must be earthed. Should the power cable
or the power plug become damaged, arrange for these
to be replaced by Customer Service or qualified person
before continuing to use the appliance. This appliance is
fitted with a 5A BS1362 fuse in a 5A BS 1363 plug.
Do not use a non-wireable plug unless the fuse cover is
in place.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
To avoid environmental and health problems due to hazardous
substances in electrical and electronic goods, appliances marked
with this symbol must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal
waste, but recovered, reused or recycled.

The product is not user-serviceable. If it is not working, read the
instructions, check the plug fuse and main fuse/circuit breaker. If it
is still not working, consult your retailer. If that does not solve the
problem ring Customer Service – they may be able to offer technical
advice. Please have the Model Number to hand, as they will not
be able to help you without it.
If you are advised to return the product to us, pack it carefully,
include a note with your name, address, day phone number, and
description of the problem.
If under a warranty, say where and when it was purchased and
include a valid VAT receipt. Send it to SQ Professional Ltd.
WARRANTY
THE WARRANTY FOR THIS PRODUCT IS COVERED BY SQ PROFESSIONAL
LIMITED. ANY FAULTS WITH THIS PRODUCT ARISING THROUGH
A MANUFACTURER DEFECT WILL BE COVERED FOR 1 YEAR FROM
THE DATE OF PURCHASE, SUBJECT TO A VALID VAT RECEIPT BEING
