Important: This product is intended for domestic use only, for frozen food.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed:

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before using your Appliance
• Allowtheapplianceatleast24hoursonthehighestsettingbeforestoringanyfoodinsidetoallow
forsucientcoolingtemperaturetobereached.
• Theinterioroftheapplianceneedstobecleanedpriortousebywipingwithasoftclothandusing
warmwater.Wipetheappliancecompletelydrybeforereplacingbasket.
• Allow4hoursfortheappliancetostanduprightbeforeturningontheappliancetoallowcoolant
gases time to settle after the appliance is in place.
Using your Appliance
• Oncedry,plugtheapplianceintothemainssocket.
• Avoidopeningthedoorforlongperiodsorunnecessarily.
• Tomaintainadequateaircirculation,donotoverlltheappliance.
• Allowhotorwarmfoodstocooltoroomtemperaturebeforestoringintheappliance.
• Keepthefoodpacked,wrappedorcovered.
• Forhygienereasons,alwayswrapfoodusingasuitablepackagingmaterial,beforestoringinyour
appliance to avoid contact with the surface of the appliance.
• Thetemperatureintheappliancecanbemonitoredbyusingafreezerthermometer.Donotusea
Mercurylledthermometer,asabreakagewouldcauseahealthhazard.
Adjusting the Temperature
The internal temperature of the appliance is controlled by a thermostat:
• Adjustthetemperaturecontrolwhichislocatedonthefrontoftheappliancetothe
desired setting.
• Thereare7Settings,Setting7beingthecoldestandSetting1beingthewarmest.
• Setting5isrecommendedwhenoperatingatnormalroomtemperaturebetween16°Cand38°C.
• Theappliancesperformancemaybeadverselyaectedbyextremesofambienttemperaturesor
by repeated or prolonged lid opening.
Defrosting the Freezer
After a period of time frost will build up in the compartments. Regular defrosting will therefore be
necessarytomaintaintheeciencyoftheappliance.Thebesttimetodefrostyourapplianceis
when the amount of food stored is low.
To defrost the appliance, please follow the steps below:
• Takeoutthefrozenfoodandstoreinasparefreezer,applianceorwrapwellandstoreina
cool dry place.
• Unplugtheappliancefromthemainssupply,makingsurenottopullthecord.
• Toremovemeltedfrostfromtheappliance,placeacontainerundertheDrainHolewhichis
locatedonthefrontoftheappliance.PullouttheDrainHoleDialandturn180°nextreachinside
the freezer and remove the Drain Plug, this will allow melted frost and water to drain out of the
appliance.
• Removetheicewithaplasticicescrapper.DONOTusepointedorsharpedgedobjectssuchas
knives,forksorscrewdriverstoremovetheice.
• Whenalltracesoficehavebeenremovedanddefrostingiscompleted,cleanawayanywater
and wipe your appliance dry.
• TheDrainPlugandDrainPlugDialcannowbereplaced.

• Cleanyourapplianceasdescribedbelow,pluginandswitchbackon,Setting5onyour
temperature control. Allow at least 4 hours for the temperature to return to the adequate
temperaturebeforeputtingthefoodbackintotheappliance.
Important: Do not use any mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process
other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Switchotheelectricalsupplyandremovetheplugfromthemainssocketbeforecleaning.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Interior
• Removeallfoodfromtheapplianceandcovertohelpkeepcool.
• Removebasketfromtheapplianceandwashinwarmsoapywaterwithasoftclothand
drythoroughly.Neverreplacethebasketwhilststillwet.
• Wipetheinterioroftheappliancewithadampcleancloth.
• Drytheinteriorthoroughlywithacleanclothandreplacethedrawers.
• Pluginandswitchonandallowthetemperatureintheappliancetodropbacktoanadequate
temperature.
• Replacethefoodintheappliance.
Important: Avoid getting water into the electric components of the appliance i.e. the thermostat as
this may damage your appliance.
Exterior
• Useaclean,dampsoftclothtowipetheexteriorsurfaceoftheapplianceanddrythoroughly.
• Useavacuumcleanertoremovedustfromunderneaththeapplianceandfromaroundthe
compressorwhichissituatedatthebackoftheappliance,regularlytomaintainadequate
ventilation.Usecautionnottodamagethecoolantsystem.
Important:Donotuseabrasivecloths,powders,householdcleaners,bleachorwaxpolishtoclean
theapplianceasthesecanleaveasmellintheapplianceandcandamagetheexterior.
Lid Seal
Useaclean,dampsoftclothtowipethelidsealandinbetweenthecreases,avoiddamagingthelid
sealasthiswillaecttheperformanceofyourappliance.
Going Away
Ifyouaregoingawayanddonotwanttoleavetheappliancelefton,switchoatthesocketand
removetheplugfromthemainssocketsensuringnottopullthecord.Removeanyfoodandfollow
the cleaning instructions in the “Cleaning and Maintenance” section.
Note: Leave the lid ajar as this will prevent odours and mould accumulating in the appliance and will
allow the appliance to dry completely.
Power Cut
Intheeventofapowercutkeeptheappliancelidclosedtomaintainthetemperatureinside.

Operating Sound
Thecoolinggaswhichcirculatesinthecoolingcircuitmaymakeaslightnoise(bubblingsound)
even when the compressor is not running. Do not worry this is quite normal.
Ifthesesoundsaredierentcheckthat:
• Theapplianceislevel.
• Nothingistouchingtherear.
The contents in the appliance are vibrating
FUSE REPLACEMENT
(Moulded Plug Top – Class I or II)
Removethefusecoverwithasmallatheadscrewdriver.
Takeoutthefuseandreplacewithanewfuseofthe
sameAmp.Replacethefusecoverandpushbackinto
place.
DISPOSAL
TheEuropeanDirective2012/19/EUonWasteElectricalandElectronicEquipment(WEEE),
requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in normal unsorted
municipal waste.
Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimise the recovery and recycling of the
materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when
you dispose of the appliance it must be separately collected. Consumers should contact their
local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are having problems with your appliance, please use our troubleshooting guide below. If you
are unable to resolve the issue using this guide please ring our Customer Service Department on
