Donning whilst standing/sitting

Donning whilst laying
Step 1
Place left arm through attached
shoulder section
Step 2
Pull posterior section around the body
and stabilise the front section with left
hand ensuring a central midline
Step 3
Pull right hand strap across the
abdominal section to tighten brace
Step 4
Pull bobbin straps out and across in
order to increase fit around abdominal
section
Step 5
Clip shoulder strap in place

Place brace on bed

Patient should lie into brace with the
distal posterior section at level of mid
buttock ensuring brace is symmetrical
Step 3
Place right arm through shoulder
section and pull brace across so front
section is in the midline
Step 4
Stabilise abdominal section with left
hand while using right hand to pull the
brace across
Step 5
Pull bobbin tension straps out
and across to increase fit around
abdominal section
Step 6
Clip shoulder strap in place

Dong whilst standing, seated or laying

Remove bobbin tension straps
Step 2
Loosen right hand section of brace to
relocate tension at abdomen
Step 3
Unclip right shoulder strap
Step 4
Remove brace from left side
