INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
GENERAL INFORMATION
Thank you for choosing Stein Bathroomware. When you receive your Embrace Frameless
Shower package please check for any damage. If damage has occurred advise your supplier
immediately and do not proceed with installation.

installed correctly.
GLASS WARRANTY CLAIMS
Glass breakages on site are not replaced under warranty.
PREPARATION
Solid xing must be provided in the walls behind the wall channels. Refer to Diagram A
‘Layout Plan’ on page 3 to establish your shower type.
INSTALLATION NOTES
1. When installing the Embrace Frameless Shower on to a tiled wall some local authorities do
not allow wall channels to be xed by screwing through tiles. In this instance use BOSTIK
V60 to x the wall channels to the tiles. Leave the wall channel to set for the minimum time
required as instructed on the BOSTIK cartridge before installing glass.
SAFETY GUIDE
1. The 10mm glass requires two people to handle.
2. Always stand glass up after unpacking the components and use soft packing when in
contact with hard surfaces. Take care not to strike an edge or corner on a hard surface.
3. All glass is toughened and cannot be reworked or drilled.
4. Wear protective gloves and eye protection.
5. Special care should be taken when drilling walls to avoid hidden pipes or electrical cables.
WE RECOMMEND THAT A PROFESSIONAL SHOWER INSTALLER IS USED FOR INSTALLATION
OF THIS PRODUCT TO ENSURE THE BEST RESULTS

PREPARATION CHECKLIST
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO INSTALLATION
Solid xing must be provided in the walls behind the wall channels. Refer to the
‘Layout Plan’ on page 3 to establish your shower type.
To ensure a successful result, the walls must be plumb and the oor at and level. Any
variations must be allowed for in the plan layout.
Wall and oor surfaces must be waterproofed by a Certied Applicator and a Producer
Statement provided for the local council.
All tiling must be completed and allowed to cure before installing the shower enclosure.
Contract a plumber to ensure waste tting is correctly installed.

IMPORTANT:
• A & B measurements are the minimum outer boundary line of glass channels.
• Measurements are based on oor being level, walls plumb and all surfaces at. Any variations
require adjustment in the measurements provided.

Please ensure you have read and understood the ‘Installation Notes’ on Page 1.
MARKING OUT
Identify your specic shower using the Layout Plan on page 3. Using the appropriate
measurements mark out the channel positions on the tile base.
Position the oor channels in place to ensure door space is correct
(TIP: This can easily be completed by placing the aluminum water bar (11) in position.
Please note that you should not have to cut your water bar).
Ensure tiles are clean and free of dust and dirt. Once the channels are correctly in place,
remove the double sided tape backing and attach oor channels to the tiles.
INSTALLING WALL CHANNELS
The wall channels are recessed at one end. This is designed to t over the oor channels.
Position the wall channels over the oor channels. Plumb and mark the position with a
pencil on the tiles (refer Diagram C).

SCREW FIXING CHANNELS
If screw xing the wall channels to the wall framing a solid xing must be in place.
If this is not available use the option covered in item 2 of the installation notes.
Mark and drill two holes in the wall channel lining up mortar lines where possible.
Position the top hole 100mm from the top of the channel. Position the second hole
500mm from the top of the channel (NOTE: If drilling into tiles a Diamond drill bit is
needed).
Remove all dust from drill holes.
Run a single bead of silicone down the back of the wall channel between the centre of
the ribs. Position the wall channel over the oor channel and line up with plumb marks
made in Step 5.

PLEASE NOTE:
When installing the Embrace Frameless
Shower on to a tiled wall some local
authorities do not allow wall channels

wall channels to the tiles. You must leave
the wall channel to set for the minimum
time required as instructed on the
BOSTIK cartridge before installing glass.

Screw your wall channel to the wall with the 50mm screws provided. Ensure that the wall
channel is plumb. Remove any excess silicone protruding from the edges of the wall
channel.
GLASS FITTING
Floor Channels: Place 5mm clear packer blocks at the bottom of the return channel and
hinge panel.
Remove small MDF packing blocks from wall channel.
GLASS FITTING TIP: Lightly spray the rubber seal inside the wall channel with soapy
water. This enables the glass to slide better.
Slide return glass into wall channel then place down into oor channels. Adjust the
position of oor channel packers to ensure even support when the glass edge is plumb.
Once the glass return panel is in position tighten the ve allen key screws evenly in the
wall channel to secure panel (refer Diagram G).
Repeat steps 11, 12 and 13 to install the hinge return panel.
Install end caps (18) on to oor channels using a small amount of silicone.

FIXING TOP SUPPORT PANEL
Using the top 3 support panel clips (5), attach the top support panel to the glass return
panels as indicated in Diagram I.
INSTALLING DOOR
Assemble the door handle as shown in Diagram J.
Fasten hinges to return panel and place in the closed position. NOTE: Hinge screws
should be facing the inside of the shower enclosure and the pivot point of the hinge
should be on the door panel.
From the inside of the door, lift the door panel on to hinges and fasten to hold in place.
Fully tighten all four screws on the 2 hinges.
Slide PVC drip seal on to bottom of door.
Run a bead of silicone around the outside of the shower channels.
DO NOT USE THE SHOWER FOR 24 HOURS
