The Stellar Bluetooth Diet Scale accurately weighs weight,
milk and water volume.
Transferring this data to your mobile phone (with the free Modern Chef
app installed) via bluetooth allows you to keep track of your daily intake of
weighedcalories,fats,cholesterol,carbohydrates,bre,proteinandsodium.
Please read these instructions carefully to set up your scale.

Battery Installation
■The Stellar Bluetooth Diet Scale takes
2 x 1.5V AAA batteries.
■Remove the battery cover as shown and
install batteries according to the polarity
markings.
■Please remove the batteries before
long term storage.

Before use
1. Install batteries as detailed overleaf.
2. Placeonasolid,atsurface.
3. Press the scale platform to turn the scale on.
4. Wait until the LCD display shows “0”.

Changing between Metric and Imperial measurements
■To change between Metric (kg, g) and Imperial measurements
(lb:oz) simply press the Unit button on the base of the scale.
UNIT

Weight mode
1. Ensure the LCD display shows shows “0” (if using a bowl place on the
platformrstandpressZERO:MODEtoresettheLCDdisplayto“0”).
2. Place the object to be weighed either directly on the platform or into the
bowl.
3. The weight will be shown on the LCD display.
Milk/Water Volume mode
1. Place a bowl or other suitable container on the scale platform and press
ZERO:MODEtoresettheLCDdisplayto“0”.
2. Pour your liquid into the bowl/container.
3. The volume will be shown on the LCD display.
Add weigh/tare function
To weigh consecutively without removing the previous item from the scale
presstheZERO:MODEbuttontoresettheLCDto‘0’beforeaddingthe
next item.
Note: The tare symbol will only appear if the total load is greater than 200g.

Auto shut o (power saving mode)
Autoshutooccursisthedisplayshows‘0’orthesameweightreadingformore
than a couple of minutes.
Error Codes
Err Overloadwarning Scale is loaded past the maximum capacity
(5kg) - Remove items to avoid damaging
the scale.
Lo Low battery warning Battery power is low, please replace the
batteries.
Cleaning and care
■Clean the scale with a damp cloth or taint free wipe.
■Do not immerse the scale in water.
■Do not use harsh chemical/abrasive cleaning agents.
■Immediately clean plastic parts after contact with fats, spices, vinegar and
stronglyavoured/colouredfoods.
■Avoid contact with acidic citrus juice.
■Do not knock, drop or drop any item onto the scale.
■Store in a cool dry place when not in use.
■For domestic use only.

Using the Modern Chef App
Download the app, available from both the Apple App Store and
Google Play, by scanning the QR code to the right or searching for
‘ModernChef”.
Setting up the app
■Make sure bluetooth is
turned on in your phone
settings before use.
1. Turn the scale on.
2. OpentheModernChef
app.
3. Select the scale from the
scale menu to link it with
the app and rename it if
desired.
4. Setupyouruserprole
by entering the details
requested and pressing
the tick button.
Weighing and calculating nutrition
1. Ensure the LCD display shows shows “0”
(ifusingabowlplaceontheplatformrst
andpressZERO:MODEtoresettheLCD
display to “0”.
2. Enter the food to be weighed into the
searcheldontheModernChefapp
home screen.
3. Placing the object to be weighed either
directly on the platform or into the bowl.
4. The weight will be shown on the LCD
display of the scale and nutritional values
displayed in the app.
5. To save to your history press the tick
button, then Save

Custom foods
If the food you wish to weigh is not already in the app database press the + symbol
in the top right of the search screen and enter the name and nutritional values per
100g to save to the database.

Troubleshooting
If the application cannot get data from the scale
■Make sure bluetooth is turned on in your phone settings
