TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
My battery will not complete a full round of golf.
Was your battery fully charged before use?
You must ensure that the battery has completed a full charge cycle. A full charge
cycle has only taken place if you see the red and green light. If you see a green light
immediately, you must unplug the charger from the battery and the wall and leave to
reset.
My battery stops during a round of golf.
Your battery is packed with electronics to monitor and protect it. If in the unlikely
event that you push the battery beyond its designed capability, it will protect itself by
shutting down. If this abuse is only light, the battery will restart automatically as soon
as the load is taken o. If the abuse is of a major nature, the battery will shut down and
will need to be disconnected from the trolley and reconnected to reset the electronics
within the battery. If your battery keeps stopping on the course then please contact us
for further advice.
The light flashes / makes a clicking noise during charging.
Sometimes the electronics in the charger need to balance with the electronics in
the battery. If the flashing/clicking does not stop within 30 minutes, disconnect the
charger from the battery and the wall, leave for 15 minutes and then follow the charge
procedure as stated inside the guide.
My battery will not charge.
The Battery Management System (BMS) in the battery is designed to protect your
battery from damage and will shut down the battery if charge levels fall below
acceptable values. This can be caused by attempting to play significantly more holes
than the battery is designed to achieve or alternatively leaving the battery uncharged
for long periods of time after use (in excess of 2 weeks). If your battery will not charge,
it may need to be returned to be reset.
How to store your battery.
If you plan to store for longer periods, i.e. over the winter, the battery should be fully
charged after its last game, disconnected from the charger and left. Before using the
battery again you should top up the charge in the battery to ensure it is fully charged
and working at its optimum.
How do I dispose of my battery?
Your battery can be disposed of at any registered recycling point or alternatively you
can return it to LitePower for safe and environmentally friendly disposal.
Can I leave my battery connected to the charger or do I have to disconnect when green?
Disconnecting the charger after charging is the “right” thing to do. However, if the
battery is going to be used regularly (i.e. every 5-7 days) it is quite safe to leave the
battery and charger connected. The BMS inside the battery will prevent any damage,
but it’s a bit like leaving your TV on standby so should be avoided for long periods.
