The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts
for a period of 36 months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur
within this warranty period, under normal use and care, will be repaired,
replaced or refunded at our discretion, solely at our option with no charge for
parts and labour. The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition
to all rights and remedies in respect of the product that the consumer
has under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and similar state and
territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the
Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for
a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable
loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or

this type of product. We have provided many important safety statements
in this manual concerning the use of this appliance. Always read all safety
statements. They reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when

General Safety Instructions
Pay particular attention to safety messages that follow this
safety alert symbol or the words DANGER, WARNING or
CAUTION. They are used to alert you to a potential hazard
that can seriously injure you and others. The instructions will
tell you how to reduce the chance of injury and let you know
what can happen if the instructions are not followed.
CAUTION: Risk of Fire!
The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is contained within the
refrigerant circuit of the appliance, a gas with a high level of
environmental compatibility, which is nevertheless flammable.
During transportation and installation, ensure that none of the
components of the refrigerant circuit becomes damaged.
If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged, avoid open
flames and sources of ignition. Thoroughly ventilate the room in
which the appliance is situated.

• Electrical work: If the installation of this appliance requires any electrical
work, make sure it is carried out by a qualified electrician.
• Voltage: Make sure your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to
the voltage stated on the appliance rating label. Plug the appliance into a
properly earthed power outlet with a 15A fuse at the mains.
• Separate circuit: Do not use an adaptor; do not use an extension cord. We
recommend you connect the appliance to a separate circuit serving only this
appliance. This provides the best performance and also prevents overloading
the house wiring circuits that could cause a fire hazard from overheating. Use
a power point that cannot easily be turned off accidentally.

• Power cord: Do not kink or damage the power cord; do not leave it exposed
or dangling. Secure it at the back so no one steps on or places anything
on the cord or against it. Never unplug the unit by pulling the power cord.
Always grip the plug firmly and pull straight out from the power point.
• Damaged cord: Do not use a cord that shows cracks or abrasion damage
along its length or at either end. If the power cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent. Contact the after sales
support line to have it replaced.
• Disconnect: Unplug the appliance or disconnect power before cleaning or
servicing. Failure to do so can result in electrical shock, injury or death. Do
not connect or disconnect the electric plug when your hands are wet. Always
grip the plug when disconnecting, do not pull on the cord.
Installation
• Heavy: This appliance is heavy, take care when moving it. To avoid back or
other injury, consider a two person lift or mechanical aid when installing it.
• Environment: Install the appliance in an indoor area protected from wind,
rain, water spray or drips. Do not install it next to an oven, grill or other
source of high heat.
• Ventilation: To ensure proper ventilation, the front of the unit must be
completely unobstructed and ventilation openings kept clear of obstructions.
• Temperature: Choose a well ventilated area with temperatures above 10˚C
and below 43˚C. The appliance may not work properly if it is left for a longer
period at a temperature above or below the indicated range.
• Level: Install the appliance level in order to ensure it works properly.
• Pipes: Make certain that the pipes are not pinched, kinked or damaged
during installations. Check for leaks after connection.
Usage conditions and restrictions
• Indoor domestic use only: This appliance is intended for indoor domestic
use only, which includes use in households, staff kitchen areas in shops,
offices, in farm houses and in other working environments, use by clients in
hotels, motels, bed and breakfast establishments and other residential type
environments. It is not suitable for commercial, industrial or outdoor use.

• Intended purpose: Do not use this appliance for anything other than its
intended purpose, and only use it as described in this manual. Do not
attempt to alter or modify this appliance in any way.
• Electrical type appliances: Do not operate any electrical appliances
(such as electric ice-cream makers, mixers etc.) inside the food storage
compartments of the appliance.
• Flammable and/or volatile substances: Do not store or use petrol or other
flammable substances in the vicinity of this or any other appliance. The
fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion. Do not put any flammable or
volatile goods, or acids, into the compartments.
• Top of the appliance: Do not place anything heavy or anything containing
water (such as a vase or fish bowl) on top of the refrigerator. Water dripping
into the appliance can damage the electrical connections in the refrigerator.
• Usage restrictions: The appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
• Children: Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
Never allow children to crawl inside the appliance. Do not let anyone play
with, hang off or sit on the door of the refrigerator; this is dangerous and may
overturn the unit and its contents.
• Flames: Never clean this appliance with flammable fluids.
• Solvents: Do not use solvent based cleaning agents or abrasives on the
interior. These cleaners may damage or discolour the interior.
• Defrosting aids: Do not use mechanical devices or other means to
accelerate the defrosting process. Never use a sharp or metal instrument to
remove frost as it may damage the cooling system and will void the warranty.
• Service and repair: Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of the
appliance unless it is specifically recommended in this manual. Refer all
other servicing to a qualified technician. Contact our after sales support
line if you notice any abnormal smell or smoke, or for any other advice.
• Gas leak: If there is a gas leak from another appliance, do not touch the
refrigerator until the gas valve is turned off and the air in the room has been
exchanged. Otherwise, with gas still present, sparking may occur around
the temperature regulator.

Getting Started: Installation
Installation
• Unpack: The appliance and the interior fittings are protected for transporta-
tion. When unpacking, make sure to remove all packing materials from the
interior and pull off any adhesive tape on the interior and both sides of the
door. You can remove any remnants of adhesive using diluted eucalyptus oil.
Keep all packaging materials until you have made sure your new appliance
is undamaged and in good working order. Plastic wrapping can be a
suffocation hazard for babies and young children, so ensure all packaging
materials are out of their reach.
• Door opening: Your appliance will need a clear space upfront to allow the
doors to open 160°. It has the capability of the doors opening from the right
or left side, see pages 15-18 for door reversal instructions.
• Two person installation: Use two or more people to move and install the
appliance. Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.
• Safety first: Make sure you have read all safety advice on the previous
pages before installation.
• Location: Place the appliance in a well ventilated, dry area indoors, where
temperatures generally do not fall below 10°C or surpass 43°C. Place it:
• Away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove, heater, radiator).
• Away from water splashes and areas of high humidity.
• Away from extreme cold ambient temperatures.
• Floor: The floor must be sturdy, level and strong enough to support it when
it is fully loaded. Unsuitable flooring
may cause noise and vibration. Do
not place it on soft material such as
foam or plastic.
If you have to position the appliance
on carpet, use a plastic carpet
protector underneath the appliance.
• Clearances: Leave a 30cm
clearance above the appliance, and
5–10cm between the back and the
wall and at the sides, to allow for
proper air circulation to cool the
compressor and condenser, and to
ensure the appliance is not touching
a surrounding surface. (Fig. 1)

• Levelling: If your floor is uneven, use the two front legs to level the
appliance. Turn the levelling leg(s) to raise the appliance until it slightly
slopes backwards. This will ensure the doors close tightly. (Fig. 2)
• Cleaning: To remove any dust from transit and storage, clean the inside of
the refrigerator with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
• Settling: Before connecting the unit to the power source, let it stand
upright for 1–2 hours to allow the refrigerant gases to settle into the
compressor. This will reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling
system from handling during transportation.
• Starting up: Plug the refrigerator into an exclusive, properly earthed wall
outlet and adjust the temperature control to the coldest position. After about
30 minutes, open the freezer compartment door and check whether the unit
is working properly: you should feel cold air. Close the door again. When the
thermostat starts switching off and on, adjust the temperature control to the
setting that best suits your needs (see page 9 for more on this).
• Cool down: To guarantee best cooling performance, allow the unit to cool
down for at least 2–3 hours before placing food in the refrigerator or freezer
compartments.

Temperature regulation
This refrigerator has two separate temperature controls, one in the freezer
and one in the fridge compartment, so you can adjust the temperature in
each compartment separately according to the food stored.
The first time you turn the unit on, set the temperature control to the coldest
position and then, when the thermostat starts switching off and on,
adjust the temperature control to the setting that best suits your needs.
A middle setting should be appropriate for normal usage.
• To adjust the temperature in the
fridge compartment, turn the
refrigerator temperature control
dial clockwise towards “COLDER”
to lower the temperature and
counterclockwise towards “COLD”
to increase the temperature inside
the fridge compartment (Fig. 3).

NOTE: On hot summer days, when ambient temperatures are high and the
thermostat is set to a colder setting, the compressor may run continuously to
maintain the low temperature in the refrigerator compartment.
• To adjust the temperature in the
freezer compartment, slide the
freezer temperature control to the
left (towards “COLDER”) to lower
the temperature and to the right
(towards “COLD”) to increase the
temperature (Fig. 4).
A middle setting should be
appropriate for normal usage.
• For ice-making, or after you have added larger quantities of unfrozen food,
set the control temporarily to “COLDER” for fast freezing.

Fresh food storage
Use the fridge compartment for short-term storage of all your fresh food. The
shelves in this compartment are removable and can be adjusted at various
heights to accommodate your fresh food storage requirements.
Some tips for optimum fresh food storage:
• Let hot food cool down to room temperature before storage. Otherwise the
cooling capacity will be affected and power consumption increased.
• Use sealed containers or plastic bags to prevent food from drying out,
losing its taste or taking on aromas from other foods.
• In both the fridge and the freezer compartments, keep enough space
around items for cold air flow. Do not place food too close to the cold air
outlet. Do not block ventilation openings.
• Under certain conditions, fresh food may freeze in the refrigerator. To rectify
if this happens, set the temperature control in the fridge compartment to
a middle level, if it was set to maximum, or to the minimum level if the
ambient (environmental) temperature is lower than 5°C.
Chiller section
This area in the top section of the fresh food compartment is suitable for
storage of highly perishable foods such as fish, meat or deli meats.
Door racks
• Use the upper door rack for storing small jars, cans and eggs.
• Use the lower door racks for storing items that do not need constant
cooling, such as jams, sauces, condiments and bottles.
NOTE: The upper and middle level door racks are height adjustable.
Do not place too many heavy items on the door racks.
Crisper drawer
• The crisper drawer is designed to control humidity to keep your fruit and
vegetables fresh. Make sure to slide the drawer properly into place so the
crisper cover sits firmly on top.
• The crisper cover has a humidity
regulator, which you can adjust
depending on the contents (Fig. 5).
Fresh, leafy vegetables will stay crisp
longer in a more humid environment,
so slide the opening towards
the “MORE HUMID” end; slide it
towards “LESS HUMID” if you are
storing primarily fruit, or vegetables
with skins, which need less moisture.

Frozen food storage
The temperature inside the freezer compartment is suitable for freezing food,
making ice cubes and appropriate long-term storage of frozen food.
Some tips for optimum frozen food storage:
• After buying frozen food, put it into the freezer as soon as possible.
• Always observe use-by dates or recommended frozen storage times.
• Let hot food cool down before placing it into the freezer.
• Do not freeze bottles or other glass containers with liquid as they may shatter.
• Presorting foods before putting them into the freezer saves time and
energy. Put the same kinds of food together to help to minimise door
opening times and reduce energy consumption.
• Do not place food too close to the cold air outlet, which could affect air
circulation and refrigeration performance.
• Thaw frozen foods in the fridge compartment to ensure food safety.
Ice cube maker
The freezer compartment contains an ice cube maker for easy production
and release of ice cubes. It consists of two ice cube trays with an easy to use
release mechanism, and a clear plastic ice box underneath for ice cubes.

• Take the ice cube trays out of the ice
cube maker (Fig. 6).
• Fill the ice cube trays with cold
water, or with any liquid (no fizzy
drink) suitable for freezing.
• Place the ice cube trays back into
the ice cube maker.
• For fast freezing, set the
temperature control in the freezer to
the “COLDER” position.
• When the ice cubes are fully frozen,
turn the dial clockwise to eject the
ice cubes into the box below (Fig. 7).
NOTE: Do not attempt to make ice
directly in the ice box.
• Refill the ice cube trays with water
and set the temperature control
back to the usual (middle) setting.

Frequently Asked Questions
If your refrigerator has a fault, is not working properly, or you think it should
work better, use the list below to identify and solve any problems. If you cannot
solve the problem, contact our after sales support line. Do not attempt to
dismantle or repair the appliance yourself.
Problem Possible cause
The unit does not work. • It is not plugged in.
• The power is switched off at the outlet.
• The circuit breaker tripped or has blown a fuse.
• The temperature control is set too low.
The unit seems to work
inefficiently. It turns on
and off frequently.

• There is insufficient room around the unit for
air circulation.
The fridge seems to make
too much noise.
• Rattling, gurgling, popping and crackling
noises are normal in frost-free refrigerators.
These noises may come from the flow of
the refrigerant, or from contraction and
expansion of the inside walls.
• Check to assure that the fridge is level.
• Ensure all food is placed securely on shelves.
There are vibrations. • Check to assure that the fridge is level.
Food is frozen in the
refrigerator compartment.
• Set the temperature in the fridge to a
medium level, if it was set to maximum
cold, or to the minimum level if the ambient
temperature is lower than 5°C.
• Do not store food near the cold air outlet.
Outside surfaces of the
unit are becoming warm.
• This is normal and no cause for concern.
Do not touch hot compressor surfaces.
Condensation forms on
outside surfaces.
• This is normal when the humidity is high.
Wipe wet surfaces with a dry cloth.

CAUTION!
Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning work, make sure the
temperature controls are turned to the minimum position and your
refrigerator is disconnected from the power supply.
Cleaning the refrigerator
• Wipe the inside with a soft cloth, dampened with water — do not flush it
with water. If required, use a mild detergent, or a warm water and baking
soda solution (2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 litre of water).
• Clean the outside with mild detergent and warm water, dry thoroughly.
• The following substances may damage the finish and the plastic surfaces:
harsh (alkaline) detergents, toilet cleaner, abrasive powders, hot water,
acetone, toluene and most organic solvents and the like.
• If required, disassemble removable accessories before cleaning. Lift door
racks vertically out of their place for cleaning.
• Wipe dust and spills off the rubber door seals. Spilled liquids may cause
corrosion, leading to air leakage and increased power consumption.
• Only use a dry cloth to clean any electrical parts such as the lamp and
temperature controls.
• When removing frozen food packages before cleaning the freezer
compartment, take care your hands are dry, as wet hands may freeze and
stick to frozen packages.
• After cleaning the refrigerator, make it a habit to check the power cord and
plug for any damage and ensure the unit is installed properly.
• This refrigerator is frost-free, manual defrosting is not required.

Replacing the light bulb
Should a light bulb in the fridge need replacing,
follow the simple steps below.
WARNING: Before changing a light bulb, make sure
to unplug the refrigerator from the power supply.
• Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the
screws that hold the light cover in place (Fig. 8).
• Pushing down the two bottom corners of the
light cover, gently pull the cover up to remove it.
• Unscrew the bulb and replace it with a 10W bulb
of the same shape and size.
• Reinstall the light cover.
• Reconnect the unit to power.

Holiday time
• Short holidays: Leave the fridge operating during vacations of less than
three weeks.
• Long holidays: If the appliance will not be used for several months,
remove all food and unplug the power cord. Clean and dry the interior
thoroughly. To prevent odour and mould growth, leave the door open
slightly, blocking it open, if necessary.
Power failure
To maintain your fridge and freezer temperatures as cold as possible during a
power outage, follow a few simple rules:
• Do not put more food into the refrigerator during a power outage.
• Do not open the fridge or freezer door frequently.
Any temperature rises in the freezer compartment may affect the storage time
and quality of your frozen food, so please consume any frozen food as soon
as possible.
Moving the refrigerator
• If you must move the appliance, empty all food and wipe the inside dry.
• Securely tape down all loose items inside the appliance (shelves, racks,
etc.), turn the levelling feet up to the base and tape the door shut.
• The refrigerator is heavy, take care when moving it. We recommend you
lift it together with another person to avoid injury or an accidental fall and
damage to the appliance.
• Ensure the fridge stays secure in an upright position during transportation.
Protect the outside of the fridge with a blanket or similar item.

Reversing the door swing
This refrigerator has been built with the door hinges on the right. If you wish
to change the opening direction, follow these instructions. We recommend
you have someone to help you perform this task.
IMPORTANT: Before you begin:
• Unplug the refrigerator from the mains electricity supply.
• Empty all food and shelves out of the refrigerator.
• Turn the levelling legs and adjust to their highest level.
• Keep all parts you remove from one side for reinstallation on the other side.
• Have some soft foam packaging or similar materials (blanket or towels)
ready to lay the refrigerator on when you need access to the base.

1. With the refrigerator in upright
position, first remove the screw
cover and unscrew the upper hinge
cover at the top right corner of the
refrigerator (Fig. 9).
Then prise open the screw hole
cover at the top left corner of the
refrigerator, using a putty knife or
thin-blade screwdriver (Fig. 9).
2. Unscrew the flange screws which
hold the right upper hinge part in
place — make sure to support the
upper door with your hand when
doing this.
Lift the upper door and place it on
a padded surface to prevent it from
getting scratched (Fig. 10).
3. Remove the upper hinge axis,
transfer it to the opposite side and
tighten securely, then put it in a safe
place (Fig. 11).

4. Remove the two flange screws, then
remove the middle hinge that holds
the lower door in place (Fig. 12).
Lift the lower door and place it on
a padded surface to prevent it from
getting scratched.
5. Remove the hinge hole covers from
the left holes.
Transfer the hinge hole covers to the
uncovered holes at the right side, as
illustrated (Fig. 13).
6. Remove the screw nail from the door
stopper and transfer it to the left side
of the door (Fig. 14).
Tighten the screw nail.

7. Lay the refrigerator on soft foam
packaging or similar material.
Remove both adjustable bottom
feet (Fig. 15).
Unscrew the flange screws and
remove the fixed front foot plate
and the lower hinge part (Fig. 15)
8. Unscrew the bottom hinge axis,
remove it and replace it in the hole
next to it (Fig. 16).
9. Attach the lower hinge part on the
left side and fix it with the flange
screws (Fig. 17).
Attach the fixed front foot plate on
the other side, fix it with the flange
screws, and install the adjustable
bottom feet (Fig. 17).
10. Transfer the lower door to the
proper position. Ensuring the door
is level, insert the lower hinge pin
into the lower hole of the door, then
tighten the bolts.

IMPORTANT!
Double check that both doors are aligned correctly and that the gaskets seal
on all sides. If necessary, readjust the levelling feet.
11. Turn the middle hinge part upside
down (turn it by 180°), transfer and
adjust its position. Insert the middle
hinge axis into the upper hole of the
lower door, tighten the bolts (Fig. 18).
12. Transfer the upper door to the
appropriate position. Ensuring the
door is level, insert the middle hinge
axis into the lower hole of the upper
door.
13. Transfer the upper hinge part and
insert the upper hinge axis into the
upper hole of the upper door
(Fig. 19).
Adjust the position of the upper
door— make sure to support the
upper door with your hand when
doing this — and affix the upper
hinge part with the flange screws.
14. Cover the screw holes on the top
right corner of the refrigerator with
the screw hole cover (Fig. 20).
Screw the upper hinge cover (which
is in the supplied plastic bag) on the
left corner. Keep the other upper
hinge cover in the plastic bag with
your refrigerator documentation.
15. Reinstall the door shelves in the
refrigerator compartment.
