POWERING ON THE MODULE

Plug the 16pin ribbon cable into the shrouded header pins on the back of the Lightstorm Module


While the case is powered down, plug the other end of the ribbon cable into a 16pin power
output connector on the power supply of the case. Make sure that the ribbon cable is oriented so
that the red strip is on the side of the connector that supplies -12v. On many cases the -12v side
of the connector is labeled with a stripe. Screw the module into the case and power on the case.
At this point you should see the light on the module begin to blink.


SETUP THE LEDS

There is a 3pin LED output on the front and back of the module for plugging in LEDs. Plug the
female end of the LED extension cable into one of the LED outputs. Both outputs work the same
so it doesn’t matter which one you use. Make sure that the extension cable is oriented so that
the red wire is on the side of the connector that’s marked with a stripe.


The LED strip has two connectors on it. One is for plugging in the LED extension cable and the
other one is for plugging in the 5v power supply.
Be sure that you only plug the provided 5v power supply into the LED strip. Plugging in a power
supply with more than 5 volts will break the LEDs. So as a safety precaution, check the voltage of
the power supply before plugging it in. To do this look on the bottom of the body of the power
supply and make sure it says 5v - 5a as shown in the picture below.
After you make sure that your using the correct power supply for the LED strip, the final step is to
plug the power supply into the wall.

