Belangrijke veiligheidsinformatie:
Zorg ervoor dat aan alle volgende veiligheidsregels is voldaan:
Het apparaat mag alleen worden geïnstalleerd door gekwaliceerd personeel
om ervoor te zorgen dat aan alle veiligheidsregels wordt voldaan. Afhankelijk
van het land van gebruik kunnen aanvullende veiligheidsregels en wettelijke
beperkingen van toepassing zijn.
• Risico op elektrische schok!
Gevaar voor elektrische schok!
Er is dodelijke hoogspanning aanwezig in de unit en op de klemmen. Als gevolg van hoogspannings opslagapparaten kan er dodelijke spanning
aanwezig zijn in de unit en op de klemmen als de unit is uitgeschakeld of losgekoppeld van de elektriciteitsvoorziening.
• Het apparaat dient niet te worden gebruikt als het beschadigd is (bijvoorbeeld schade na transport).
• Het elektrische gedeelte van het apparaat is uitsluitend bedoeld voor gebruik in een droge en chemisch en biologisch inactieve omgeving. Houd
water en vocht uit de buurt van het hele elektronische apparaat. Dodelijke spanningen over het hele systeem kunnen het gevolg zijn van contact
tussen lamp en water. Een afzonderlijke beschermende aarding van het volledige systeem is verplicht koppel de unit los van de elektriciteit voordat
u onderhoud uitvoert.
• Er kan gevaarlijke spanning aanwezig zijn in de energie opslagapparaten van de unit, zelfs als de unit is losgekoppeld van de elektriciteit. Wacht
ten minste 10 minuten na het loskoppelen van het apparaat van de elektriciteit voordat u onderhoud uitvoert.
• Herhaaldelijk snel schakelen kan tot een storing leiden. Schakel het apparaat niet binnen 10 seconden uit en weer in.
• Tijdens het opstarten van het ballastgedeelte, in het geval van lampdefecten of door verkeerde lampbedrading, kunnen er hoge spanningen tot
1200Veff optreden op de lampklemmen. Deze hoge spanning kan enkele milliseconden aanwezig zijn totdat de interne beveiligingscircuits de
ballast uitschakelen. Bij elke herstart van het voorschakelapparaat, na een eventuele tijdelijke ontkoppeling van de netspanning, zal het voorscha-
kelapparaat opnieuw proberen de lamp te ontsteken, dus opnieuw kunnen er hoge spanningen optreden.
• De ballast biedt geen galvanische scheiding van het lichtnet bij de lampklemmen
• Er ontstaat schadelijke spanning op de lampklemmen, zelfs als het ballast in de stand-bymodus staat en de lampen zijn uitgeschakeld.
• Knip nooit de lampdraden door terwijl de ballast in werking is. Gevaar voor ernstig letsel of overlijden!
• Debelastingvandestoringsdetectiecontactenmoetbinnendeinhetdatabladgespeciceerdelimietenwordengehouden.Hetwordtaanbevolen
om parallelle werking van contacten te gebruiken in plaats van seriële werking in het geval van foutdetectie.
Dit apparaat produceert schadelijke straling. Direct contact kan een gevaar vormen voor de ogen en de huid. Controleer de werking van de UV-C lamp
alleen door transparante delen van de tank, nooit in direct contact.
• Waarschuwing - Vanwege het risico op verwonding is dit product niet geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen of mensen (inclusief kinderen) met een
beperkte fysieke, zintuiglijke of mentale vermogens, of gebrek aan ervaring of kennis, tenzij ze onder toezicht staan van, of instructies krijgen over
het gebruik van het apparaat door, een persoon die verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid.
• Waarschuwing - Bij twijfel over of u over voldoende kennis en expertise beschikt moet dit apparaat altijd aangesloten worden door een gecerti-
ceerdeelektricien.Houdualtijdaandelokalewet-enregelgevingmeteengoedgeaardeaansluitingdiewordbeschermtdooreenreststroom
apparaat.
• Waarschuwing - Om het risico op een elektrische schok te verminderen dient een beschadigde kabel onmiddellijk vervangen te worden.
• Waarschuwing - Om het risico op een elektrische schok te verminderen is wordt het gebruik van een verlengsnoer afgeraden. Sluit het apparaat
aan op een makkelijk toegankelijk stopcontact.
• Begraaf de aansluitkabel niet. Deel geen stopcontact met een grasmaaier, heggenschaar of andere apparaten.
• Tijdens en na gebruik is het apparaat gevuld met water. Daarom is het van belang, om het risico op elektrische schok te verminderen, om voorzich-
tig te zijn tijdens reparaties/onderhoud. Als u niet over de nodige expertise beschikt moeten reparaties/onderhoud uitgevoerd worden door een
geautoriseerde/geaccrediteerde technici.
• Koppel het apparaat eerst los van de electriciteit voordat het verwijderd wordt uit het water.
• Het apparaat mag niet worden ingeschakeld indien het beschadigd is tijdens het transport, door een val, een productiefout of een andere reden
(met name de kwartsglazen huls en de UV-C-lamp).
• Sluit het apparaat altijd aan op een onbeschadigd, geaard stopcontact met klapdeksel.
• Haal de stekker van het apparaat uit het stopcontact wanneer het apparaat niet gebruikt wordt en/of tijdens onderhoud en schoonmaakt activitei-
ten. Trek aan de stekker zelf, niet aan de kabel.
• Om het risico op elektrische schok te verminderen, dient u de stekker niet uit het stopcontact te halen met natte handen en/of wanneer u in het
water bent.
• De kabel van het apparaat mag niet worden gekort en/of rechtstreeks worden aangesloten zonder een stekker. Als de kabel beschadigd raakt
moet het hele apparaat naar geaccrediteerde/geautoriseerde technicus worden gebracht. Apparaten met verkorte/afgesneden kabels zijn uitgeslo-
ten van garantiedekking.
• Nadat het apparaat is uitgezet blijft de lamp nog 10 minuten warm.
• Gebruik van de apparatuur voor enig ander doel dan waarvoor deze is ontworpen of ontwikkeld is niet toegestaan. Gebruik van de apparatuur
voor een ander doel dan waarvoor deze door de fabrikant is ontwikkeld, kan leiden tot onveilige situaties.
• Indien er een seizoensgebonden risico is op bevriezing van het apparaat, of onderdelen daarvan, dienen passende maatregelen te worden geno-
men om vorstschade te voorkomen. Schade veroorzaakt door bevriezing is altijd uitgesloten van garantiedekking.
• Apparaten met een roestvrijstalen behuizing zijn niet geschikt voor water met een hoog zoutgehalte. Bij een te hoog zoutgehalte kan het staal
oxideren en de behuizing beschadigen.
• Het apparaat mag nooit stroomafwaarts van een warmtewisselaar of andere warmtebron worden geplaatst. Als de lamp niet voldoende door het
water wordt gekoeld, kan deze beschadigd raken.
• Dit apparaat mag alleen worden gebruikt in overeenstemming met de in deze handleiding beschreven richtlijnen. U moet zich ook houden aan de
instructies op het apparaat.
• Onbedoeld gebruik van het apparaat of beschadiging van de behuizing kan leiden tot het vrijkomen van schadelijke UV-C-straling. Blootstelling
aan UV-C-straling, zelfs in kleine doses, veroorzaakt schade aan de ogen en de huid.
• Als u van plan bent het apparaat te gebruiken in combinatie met chemicaliën en/of medicijnen, raadpleeg dan altijd de handleiding(en) van dit/
deze product(en). Let vooral op de veiligheidsinstructies.
• Het is niet toegestaan om een agressieve vloeistof door de reactor te laten stromen of toevoegingen aan het behandelde water toe te voegen die
een negatief effect kunnen hebben op corrosie of degradatie van de gebruikte materialen. Dit om gevaarlijke situaties en schade aan de reactor en
omliggendeinstallatiesen/oforaenfaunatevoorkomen.

3. Installatie
Controleer voor de installatie van het systeem de levering op volledigheid en tekenen van schade. Neem direct contact op
met de leverancier als het product incompleet of beschadigd is. Controleer het glas zorgvuldig op tekenen van schade.
Het UV systeem bevat:
• Drijfkussen en behuizing
• Controlepaneel met 9 meter lange kabel
• Roestvrij staal armatuur met lamp en kwartsglas
• Handleiding
Als alles klaar is, kan de installatie beginnen. Zorg er bij het hanteren van het EasyFloat UV-systeem altijd voor dat de
voedingskabel is losgekoppeld. Zorg ervoor dat de tank of het reservoir goed geaard is om een zwerf spanning bij kort-
sluiting te voorkomen.
Stap 1
Steek de UV-lamp + roestvrij staal armatuur door het
drijvende kussen en in het frame. Zorg ervoor dat de
onderkant van het kwartsglas in de houder van het
frame gaat.
Stap 2
Wanneer dit is voltooid, sluit u de lamp kabel aan op
het drijvende kussen met behulp van de trekontlasting.
Zorg voor een marge van 10 cm om eventuele
spanning op de kabel weg te nemen.

Stap 3
Plaats de SUMMIT EasyFloat in het reservoir.
Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat drijft en de
bodem niet aanraakt.
Stap 4
Zodra het systeem drijft en volledig
gemonteerd is, kan de netstekker in een
stopcontact met aarding worden gestoken.
Zorg er voordat u hem aansluit altijd voor
dat het reservoir gesloten is en er geen
blootstelling aan de UV-C straling kan
plaatsvinden, ook in kleine doses kan dit
schade aan ogen en huid veroorzaken. Caution UV Light:

4. Onderhoud
De juiste werking van het SUMMIT EasyFloat systeem is alleen gegarandeerd als originele reserveonderdelen en compo-
nenten worden gebruikt zoals beschreven in deze handleiding. Tevens dienen de beschreven onderdelen tijdig te worden
geïnspecteerd, vervangen of gereinigd. Als de instructies niet worden opgevolgd, bestaat het risico op storingen of scha-
de aan het UV-systeem. Indien niet-originele reserveonderdelen en componenten worden gebruikt of indien de keuring,
vervanging of reiniging niet tijdig wordt uitgevoerd, vervalt de garantie op het gehele UV-systeem.
De veiligheidsinstructies in deze handleiding dienen te allen tijde te worden opge-
volgd, maar hebben geen invloed op de lokale en/of wettelijk geldende veilig-
heidsmaatregelen en instructies.
UV-C-straling kan het netvlies van uw ogen en onbeschermde huid beschadigen.
Zorg ervoor dat u niet direct of indirect wordt blootgesteld aan UV-straling. Alle
betrokkenenmoetenwordengeïnformeerdoverdespeciekegevarenvaneen
UV-systeem.
Pak alle kwartsglazen onderdelen alleen vast met schone handschoenen aan,
die geen resten of afdrukken achterlaten. Als er vingerafdrukken of vuil op de
kwartsdelen aanwezig zijn, wordt de UV-C-straling negatief beïnvloed, waardoor
ook het UV-C-behandelingsproces negatief wordt beïnvloed. Kwarts kan uw huid
ernstig beschadigen door te snijden in het geval van breuk.
Algemene onderhouds stappen:
1. Schakel UV systeem uit;
2. Reinig Kwartsglas met een zure oplossing (bijv. citroenzuur)
3. Vervang de lamp als deze is verlopen.

4.1 Kwartsglas en lamp monteren
Volg deze stappen bij het monteren van de lamp en het kwartsglas
1. Plaats de veer in het kwartsglas en plaats vervolgens de lamp;
2. Schuif de roestvrij stalen ring over het kwartsglas
3. Plaats eerst een o-ring, dan de kunststof klembus en dan nog een o-ring om het kwartsglas
4. Duwhetkwartsglasvollediginderoestvrijstalenttingtotdathetnietverderkan
5. Draaideroestvrijstalenklemringronddettingmetdehandvast,zodatdezeopzijnplaatszit.
Alle aanpassingen, acties en controles dienen in het logboek te worden vastgelegd.
5. Logboek
Vul dit document in en zorg dat het dichtbij het apparaat wordt geplaatst.

Verrichte werkzaamheden kunnen bestaan uit:

Wanneer het systeem in gebruik is genomen of wanneer de UV-C lamp is vervangen, schrijf dit dan op in het logboek

6. Garantie
De garantieperiode voor onze SUMMIT EasyFloat systemen is twaalf (12) maanden vanaf het moment van acceptatie
(acceptatie is het eerste gebruik van het betreffende UV-systeem of een gevalideerd acceptatie-/opstartprotocol). Het
moment van acceptatie dient binnen drie (3) maanden na verzending van het betreffende product te zijn. Indien de
acceptatie niet binnen drie (3) maanden na verzending is gerealiseerd, gaat de garantieperiode in op de datum drie (3)
maanden na de verzenddatum. Verbruiksartikelen (bijvoorbeeld: UV-lampen, kwartsbuizen, O-ringen, etc.) van de SUM-
MIT EasyFloat UV-systemen zijn uitgesloten van deze garantie. Voorwaarde voor deze garantieperiode is een foutloze
installatie en inbedrijfstelling, volledig gedocumenteerde periodieke inspectie en onderhoud van minimaal een half jaar
en het opvolgen van de gebruiksaanwijzing.

Important safety notes:
Make sure, that all of the followin g safety rules are fullled.
The device must only be installed by qualied personnel to make sure all
applicable safety rules are fullled. Additional safety rules and legal
restrictions may apply depending on the country of operation.
• Risk of electric shock!
Lethal high voltage is present inside the unit and at the terminals. Due to high voltage storage devices lethal voltages may be present inside the unit
and at the terminals if the unit is switched off or disconnected from supply voltage.
• The unit must not be operated if there is any damage (e.g. mechanical damage after transport).
• The electrical part is intended for use in dry and chemically and biologically inactive environment only. Keep water and humidity away from the
whole electrical assembly. Lethal voltages across the complete system can result from contact between lamp and water. A separate protective
earthing of the complete system is mandatory.
• Disconnect unit from mains before any maintenance operation.
Dangerous voltage may be present inside the unit energy storage devices even if the unit is disconnected from mains.
Wait at least 10 minutes after disconnecting the unit from mains voltage before starting any service actions.
• Repeated rapid switching might lead to a fault. Do not turn off and on the unit within less than 10 seconds.
• During ballast section start up, in case of lamp defects or due to wrong lamp wiring high voltages up to 1200Veff may occur at the lamp terminals.
This high voltage may be present for a couple of milliseconds until the internal protection circuits shuts down the ballast. At each ballast restart,
after any temporary disconnection from mains voltage, the ballast will try to ignite the lamp once more, so again, high voltages may occur.
• The ballast does not provide galvanic insulation from mains at the lamp terminals.
• Harmful voltage occurs at the lamp terminals even if the ballast is in standby mode and the lamps are switched off.
• Never cut the lamp wires while the ballast is in operation. Risk of serious injury or death!
• Theloadforthefaultdetectingcontactshastobekeptwithinthelimitsspeciedinthedatasheet.Itisrecommendedtouseparalleloperationof 
contacts instead of serial operation in case of summarizing fault detection.
This device produces harmful radiation. Direct contact can pose a hazard to eyes and skin. Only check the operation of the UV-C lamp through trans-
parent parts of the tank, never in direct contact.
• Warning - Due to the risk of injury, this product is not suitable for use by children or persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised or instructed on the use of the device by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Warning-Riskofelectricshock.Ifindoubtastowhetheryouhavesufcientknowledgeandexperience,thisdevicemustalwaysbeconnectedby
a
 certiedelectrician,accordingtothelocallyapplicablestandardsandlaws,withaproperlyearthedconnectionprotectedbyaresidual-current 
device.
• Warning - To reduce the risk of electric shock, a damaged cable should be replaced immediately if possible.
• Warning - To reduce the risk of electric shock, the use of an extension lead is not recommended. Connect the device to an easily accessible mains
outlet.
• Do not bury the connection lead. Never share connections and/or connection leads with lawn mowers, hedge trimmers or other equipment.
• Duringandaftercommissioning,theunitisoperatingandlledwithwater.Therefore,toreducetheriskofelectricshock,
be careful during repairs and/or service work. If you lack the necessary knowledge and experience, repair and/or service activities should be
performed by authorized/accredited technicians.
• Disconnecttheconnectionleadrst,beforeremovingtheunitfromthewater.
• The device must not be switched on if it has been damaged during or as a result of transport, a fall, a production defect or other cause (particularly
the quartz glass sleeve and the UV-C bulb).
• Always connect the device to an undamaged, earthed mains outlet with hinged cover.
• Always remove the plug from the outlet when the device is not in use and/or during cleaning and maintenance activities. The plug must be removed
from the mains outlet by pulling on the plug itself. Never pull on the lead to remove the plug from the outlet.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, the plug must not be inserted into or removed from the mains outlet with wet hands and/or while you are
standing in the water.
• The connection lead of the appliance may not be shortened and/or connected directly without a plug. If the lead becomes damaged, the entire
device must be submitted to authorized/accredited technicians. Devices with cut-off/shortened cables are excluded from warranty coverage.
• After the device is switched off the bulb will remain warm for ten minutes.
• Use of the equipment for any purpose other than that for which it was designed or developed is not permitted. Use of the equipment for a purpose
other than that for which it was developed by the manufacturer may lead to unsafe situations.
• If there is a seasonal risk of freezing of the device, or parts thereof, appropriate measures must be taken to prevent freezing damage. Damage
caused by freezing is always excluded from warranty coverage.
• Devices with a stainless steel housing are not suitable for water with a high salt content. If the salt content is too high, the steel can oxidize and
damage the housing.
• Theunitshouldneverbeplaceddownstreamofaheatexchangerorotherheatingsource.Ifthebulbisnotcooledbythewatersufciently,itmay
be damaged.
• This device may only be used in accordance with the guidelines described in this manual. You must also adhere to the instructions provided on the
device.
• Unintended use of the device or damage to the housing can lead to the escape of harmful UV-C radiation. Exposure to UV-C radiation, even in
small doses, cause damage to the eyes and skin.
• If you intend to use of the device in combination with chemicals and/or medications, always consult the manual(s) for this/these product(s). Pay
particular attention to the safety instructions.

3. Installation
Before installing the system check the delivery for completeness and signs for damage. Contact the supplier immediately if
the product is incomplete or damaged. Check the glass carefully for any signs of damage.
The delivery of a UV system includes:
• Float cushion and enclosure;
• Control panel with 9 metre cable
• Stainlesssteelxturewithlampandquartzglass
• Instruction manual;
When everything is complete installation can begin. When handling the EasyFloat UV system always make sure that the
power cable is disconnected. Make sure that the tank or reservoir is properly earthed to prevent an stray voltage in case
of an short circuit.

Stap 1
Insert the UV lamp + stainless steel xture
through the oating cushion and inside the
frame. Make sure that the bottom of the quartz
glass goes inside the holder of the frame.
Stap 2
When this is completed connect the lamp cable
on the oating cushion using the strain relief.
Ensure a tolerance of 10 cm to remove any
stress on the cable.

Stap 3
Place the SUMMIT EasyFloat inside the
reservoir. Make sure that the system is
oating and is not touching the bottom.
Stap 4
Once the system is oating and fully
assembled, the mains plug can be plugged
into a socket with earth connection. Before you
connect it always make sure that the reservoir
is closed and no exposure can be made with
the UV-C radiation, even in small doses,
it can cause damage to the eyes and skin.

4. Maintenance
The correct functioning of the SUMMIT EasyFloat system is only guaranteed if original spare parts and components are
used as described in this manual. The parts described must also be inspected, replaced or cleaned in a timely manner. If
instructions are not followed, there is a risk of malfunction or damage to the UV system. If non-original spare parts and
components are used or if the inspection, replacement or cleaning is not carried out in time, the warranty on the entire
UV system will lapse.
The safety instructions in this manual must be followed at all times, but they do not
affect the local and/or legally applicable safety measures and instructions.
UV-C radiation can damage the retina of your eyes and unprotected skin. Ensure
that you are not directly or indirectly exposed to UV radiation. Everyone involved
mustbeinformedaboutthespecichazardsassociatedwithaUVsystem.
Grasp all quartz glass parts only with clean gloves on, which do not leave any
residuesorprints.Ifngerprintsordirtarepresentonthequartzparts,theUV-C
radiationisnegativelyinuenced,sothattheUV-Ctreatmentprocessisalso
negatively affected. Quartz can cause serious harm you skin by cutting in the
event of breakage.
General steps of maintenance:
1. Switch off the UV system;
2. Clean Quartz Glass with an acidic solution (i.e. citric acid)
3. If lamp life is expired replace the lamp

4.1 Assembling quartz glass and lamp
When assembling the lamp and the quartz follow these steps:
1. Put the spring inside the quartz glass and then put in the lamp
2. Slide the stainless steel clamp ring over the quartz glass
3. First place one o-ring, then the plastic clamping bush and then another o-ring around the quartz glass
4. Pushthequartzglasscompletelyinsidethestainlesssteelttinguntilitcannotgoanyfurther
5. Handtightenthestainlesssteelclampringaroundthettingsoitisxedinplace
All adjustments, actions and controls must be documented in the logbook.

6. Warranty
The warranty period for our SUMMIT EasyFloat systems is twelve (12) months from the moment of acceptance (accep-
tanceistherstuseoftherelevantUVsystemoravalidatedacceptance/start-upprotocol).Themomentofacceptance
must be within three (3) months after shipment of the relevant product. If the acceptance is not realized within three (3)
months after shipment, the warranty period starts on the date three (3) months after the shipment date. Consumables (for
example: UV lamps, quartz tubes, O-rings, etc.) of the SUMMIT EasyFloat UV systems are excluded from this warranty.
A prerequisite for this guarantee period is error-free installation and start-up, fully documented periodic inspection and
maintenance on a minimum of half a year and the operating instructions must be followed.
