…prepare your supplied-air
If you are using a compressor or pump to supply
breathing air to the user, the placement of the
air intake is crucial. The air at the source:
•Must have a minimum of impurities.
•Must never exceed the hygienic limit
level.
•Must contain so little mineral oil that no
smell of oil is detectable (usually less
than 0.3 mg/m³).
•Must ensure that the dewpoint of the air
is so low that no water condensation will
occur.
A fixed supplied-air system has to be designed,
constructed and maintained properly. While
many air tools can be operated on unfiltered air,
breathing air should always be clean and free of
humidity, oil and smells.

The supply line from the air source to the
supplied-air filter must be at least 11 mm in
inside diameter.
A thinner hose or pipe may restrict maximum
airflow.
