Introduction
Congratulations on your new Zoey!
Welcome to a new, minimal way to clean your CPAP equipment. We’ve
streamlined the process so that your experience is as easy as Z-O-E… Y!
Zoey is designed with simplicity in mind. The unit cleans your CPAP mask,
headgear, and tubing using contained activated oxygen, also known as
ozone, or 0. Daily use is an effective and stress-free way to prevent
harmful bacteria build-up. Zoey’s soft LED lights communicate the cleaning
process using simple, easy-to-reference patterns.

2. Operation
Gently push down on
the press point until it
clicks and opens lid.

from the tray and connect to
Zoey's injection tube.

Remove the filter from
plastic wrap. Place into
filter holster in Zoey’s
chamber, the foot of the
vented end first, then click
in place.
NOTE: It is normal to find
loose charcoal debris in lter
plastic wrap.

Remove tray

Place your CPAP mask and
headgear into the chamber.
If you use a chinstrap, you
can also place this in the
chamber. Close the lid and
push down on the press
point until it clicks.
2.2 Using Zoey
Before first time use, it is recommended to hand wash your CPAP equipment
according to manufacturer's instructions, as you would normally without Zoey.
This removes debris, and prevents oxidation odors from occurring in your CPAP
equipment after running the Zoey cleaning cycle. When using Zoey regularly, you'll
only need to hand wash your CPAP equipment as needed.

A standard CPAP tube is shown, but

Connect the other
end of your CPAP
tube to Zoey's tube
connector. Ensure a firm
connection to trigger
the CPAP tube sensor.
Once both the lid is
closed and latched and
the tube cuff has firmly
engaged with the Zoey
CPAP tube connector
sensor, the cycle can be
started.
Zoey is connected!
Next step
5Connect CPAP tube cuff all the
way onto Zoey's CPAP tube
connector, in order to press in
and trigger the CPAP tube sensor.
The CPAP tube sensor should be
rmly held in place by the CPAP
tube cuff.

Press the power button to start cleaning cycle.
When the first system status LED light turns blue, you
may walk away and let Zoey clean.
It is important to keep Zoey closed during the entire
cycle. If cleaning cycle is interrupted, wait 2 hours
before opening the chamber.
The second blue light will blink as ozone is being
generated for approximately 20 minutes. You will hear
the sound of the ozone generator during this time.
The third blue light will blink to indicate Zoey is
converting ozone back to regular, safe, breathable
oxygen. This will last for approximately 1 hour and 40
minutes. Zoey is quiet during this time.
When all three lights display solid green, the cycle is
complete and it is safe to open Zoey.
Remove CPAP tube from Zoey while lid is open to turn
off green lights.
Do you see red lights? If so, ensure the CPAP
tube is pushed in far enough onto Zoey's CPAP
tube connector in order to trigger the sensor (see step 4
on previous page), and verify that the lid is rmly shut.
Ensure tubes are free from kinks or sharp bends during Zoey's cycle.
Zoey cleans germs and bacteria in your equipment, but it's
recommended to wash mask cushions and other CPAP items
periodically to prevent buildup of facial oil from CPAP treatment.
To cancel cycle
Hold down power button until yellow lights count down
completely. Release button if lights turn blue. This means
ozone has generated, and you must wait 2 hours before
opening chamber. However, if lights clear after countdown,
you may open chamber.

Changes to delay mode
must be pressed within
3-second window.
Press delay button once to delay cleaning for 1 hour.
The first white light will blink and then display solid.
Press button two times to delay cleaning for 2 hours. The second
white light will blink and then first two lights will display solid white.
Press button three times to delay cleaning for 3 hours.
The third white light will blink and then all three lights will display
solid white.
Press delay again
to reset and exit
delay mode.

3. Care and Maintenance
3.1 Replacing Filter and Check Valve

Filter
You will need to replace the filter and check valve when Zoey
displays three solid yellow lights. This notification will appear
at the conclusion of 120 complete cycles.
To replace filter, open
Zoey and remove from the
holster inside the chamber.
Insert new filter.
After replacing filter, reset Zoey
by holding both POWER and DELAY
buttons together until green
lights are displayed (3 seconds).
This will restart the timer for 120
cycles.
Dispose of old filter along with
household trash.
Inspect injection tube for
cracks or tears. If damaged,
contact your place of purchase
to order a replacement.
Ensure a firm connection to
tube connector on back corner. 10

!It is important to

Disconnect injection tubing from each end of check valve.
Dispose of old check valve along with household trash.
Put new check valve in place by ensuring firm injection tube connections.
The check valve traps condensation to prevent
water from damaging your equipment.
The filter converts the activated oxygen back into the
oxygen that we breathe.

Wipe down Zoey with a soft damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
Do not use any harsh chemicals or bleach on the unit.

4.2 Indications for Use
Zoey is intended to be used daily by the owner of a CPAP therapy machine.
With the device, the user will have a stress-free way to clean their CPAP
equipment. This cleaning is important to prevent buildup of bacteria and
germs. The equipment that is to be cleaned includes:
• CPAP Mask
• CPAP Headgear
• CPAP Tubing (interior)

4.3 Terms and Conditions of the Sunset 2-Year
Limited Warranty
WHAT IS COVERED
Your Zoey is warranted against original defects in materials and workmanship for
a period of 2 years from the date of purchase, when used for normal domestic
purposes in accordance with the Zoey Instruction Manual. Please retain your proof of
purchase. If you do not have your proof of purchase, your warranty will start 90 days
after the date of manufacture, according to Sunset Healthcare Solutions records. This
warranty provides, at no extra cost to you, all labor and parts necessary to ensure
your machine is in proper operating condition during the warranty period. The re-
placement of any part of your machine under warranty will not extend the period of
warranty. Any parts which are returned to Sunset Healthcare Solutions will become
the property of Sunset Healthcare Solutions.

machines, length of warranty may differ, please see warranty letter included with
refurbished machine for warranty terms. This limited warranty is subject to the
following terms:
If the labels at the bottom of the device have been removed or there is evidence of
tampering with the machine, this warranty shall be void.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
• Replacement lter units. The machine's lter units are not covered by the warranty.
• Damage caused by not carrying out the recommended machine maintenance.
• Careless operation or handling, misuse, abuse and/or lack of maintenance or use
not in accordance with the Zoey Instruction Manual.
• Use of the machine other than for normal domestic purposes within the United
States, e.g. for commercial or rental purposes.
• Use of parts not in accordance with the Zoey Instruction Manual.
• Use of parts and accessories other than those produced or recommended by
Sunset Healthcare Solutions.
• Faulty installation (except where installed by Sunset Healthcare Solutions).
• Repairs or alterations carried out by unauthorized parties or agents.
• Normal wear and tear.
Sunset Healthcare Solutions shall not be liable for costs, damages or repairs
incurred as a result of, due to, or from:

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
• Any implied warranties relating to your machine including but not limited to war-
ranty of merchantability or warranty of tness for a particular purpose, are limited
to the duration of this warranty. This limitation is not allowed by some States, and
so this limitation may not apply to you.
• This limited warranty gives you specic legal rights. You may also have other rights
which vary by State.
• This limited warranty is not transferable.
• Sunset Healthcare Solutions makes no express warranties concerning the Zoey
WARRANTY SERVICE

• Before a service can take place, the terms of the warranty require that you contact
the Sunset Helpline with your REF number, serial number, date and place of
purchase.
• Please keep your purchase receipt in a safe place to ensure you have this informa-

• All work will be coordinated by Sunset Healthcare Solutions or its authorized
agents.
• Any replaced defective parts will become the property of Sunset Healthcare Solu-
tions.
• Service under this warranty will not extend the period of this warranty.
• If your machine is not functioning properly, please call the Sunset Healthcare Solu-
tions helpline on 888-990-4385. Most issues can be rectied over the telephone
by our trained helpline staff.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
EXCEPT AS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SUNSET HEALTHCARE SOLUTION’S LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF
OR IN CONNECTION WITH A BREACH OF ANY TERM OR CONDITION HEREOF OR OF ANY OBLIGATION ARIS-
ING IN CONNECTION WITH THE ZOEY SOLD HEREUNDER, SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE WARRANTY SERVICE
DESCRIBED ABOVE. IN NO EVENT SHALL SUNSET HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS BE LIABLE FOR COSTS OF SUB-
STITUTE PRODUCTS, OTHER THAN REMEDIES AS PROVIDED FOR IN THE WARRANTY, OR FOR ANY SPECIAL,
INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR INDIRECT DAMAGES, OR FOR INTERRUPTION OF
BUSINESS, OR LOSS OF USE, PROFITS OR GOODWILL (WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT
OR OTHERWISE). THIS LIMITATION IS NOT ALLOWED BY SOME STATES AND SO THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT

• Select the appropriate power source for your Zoey.
• Use only the AC Power Cord that came with your device or that you received from
an authorized dealer. If you need a replacement AC power cord, you can nd
Sunset Customer Support contact information at CleanWithZoey.com/support
• Conrm that your electrical outlet provides the type of power indicated on the
wall plug of your device (in terms of Voltage [V] and frequency [Hz]). If you are
not sure of the type of power supplied to your home, consult a qualied electri-
cian.
• Do not use non-standard power sources, such as generators or inverters, even if
the voltage and frequency appear acceptable. Use only AC power provided by a
standard wall outlet.
• Do not overload your wall outlet, extension cord, power strip, or other electrical
receptacle. Conrm that they are rated to handle the total current (in amps [A])
drawn by the Zoey.
• Do not restart the cleaning cycle more than 3 times consecutively so the ozone
generator does not run for more than 30 minutes consecutively.

WARNING • Electrical safety
Failure to take the following precautions can result in serious
injury or death from electric shock, fire, or damage to Zoey.

• Protect cords and tubes from being pinched or sharply bent, particularly where they
connect to the power outlet or the device.
• Do not jerk, knot, sharply bend, or otherwise stress power cords or accessory tubes.
• Do not expose power cords or accessory tubes to sources of heat.
• Keep children and pets away from the power cords and accessory tubes. Do not
allow them to bite, chew, or play on or with them.
• Protect power cords and tubes from being walked on.
• Do not unplug by pulling on the cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Keep away from children. It is not a toy!
• The use of an extension cord is not recommended.
• Unplug before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or lubricants other than those recommended in this
manual.
• Always carry the device by the base, do not carry it by the lid.
• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when children are
present. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
device.
• Use only as described in this Zoey Instruction Manual.
• Do not carry out any maintenance other than that shown in this instruction manual
or as advised by an authorized dealer.
• This device is only to be used with the power supply unit provided with it.
• When removing or replacing the lter, take care to not pinch your ngers in the
lter holster of the inner chamber.
CAUTION • Cables, Cords, and Tubes
CAUTION • Device
To reduce potential trip hazards or entanglement hazards, arrange any
cables, cords or tubes so that people and pets are not likely to trip over or
accidentally pull them as they move around or walk through the area and
do not allow children to play with cables, cords and tubes.
Avoid damaging the power cord, device, tubing or your CPAP cleaning unit.

• Keep away from water sources including rain, bathtubs, sinks and pools.
• Do not allow the device to become wet.
• To reduce the risk of re or shock, do not expose the device or sensors to exces-
sive water or moisture.
• Do not place wet masks, headgear or tubing into or on the device. Do not handle
any part of the plug or machine with wet hands.
• The device uses sensors and other sensitive electronics. Take care when cleaning
the device to ensure the electronics are not damaged by liquids.
• Please be aware that there are sensitive electronics inside the device. If you
need to clean your device, wipe with a damp cloth. Do not submerge your device
or use any chemical cleaners to clean the inside of the device chamber.
• It is important to keep Zoey closed during the entire cycle, including the waiting
period.
• In case of interrupted cleaning cycle wait 2 hours before re-opening the chamber.

WARNING • Prevent exposure to ozone
Do not attempt to take apart, open, service, or modify the Zoey. Doing so could
present the risk of electric shock, re or other hazard, or damage to your Zoey or
accessories. Evidence of any attempt to open and/or modify the Zoey including
any peeling, puncturing, or removal of any of the labels, will void the Limited
Warranty and render the Zoey ineligible for authorized repair.
