Overview
Each of the units functions can be fully controlled via remote control. The function
keys:

Where to place your new healthy air cleaner
Your healthy air cleaner is designed to give you optimal results when placed about 3-4 feet
off the floor. A non metallic surface is best, since metal may neutralize some of the beneficial
cleaning ions. You’ll also notice the healthy air cleaner has rubber feet on both bottom and
back of the unit. This allows you to use the machine in either two positions: standing up, or
laying down. If you plan on using the unit on its back, a higher location is best. You should
also remove the optional fragrance cartridge before operating the unit on its back.

How it works
Your new Healthy Air Cleaner employs multiple technologies to help purify and refresh the air
you breathe. Its unique anion technology helps reduce airborne pollution even outside of the
unit itself. To accomplish this, millions of natural, pure ions (just like those found in nature)
are sent out deep into your room's air to both reduce and suppress airborne pollutants.
These beneficial ions then serve as a natural barrier to separate your breathing space from
pollutants. Not only do these high quality natural ions reduce airborne pollutants, they further
help to prevent pollutants from becoming airborne in the first place.
Here is how these features work together to help clean and purify your air:
Natural anion pure cleaning ions are continuously introduced via the top grill during the
cleaning process (7), in the diagram above.
1- Additionally, air enters the side air intake for an extra measure of purification.
2- The unit's particle screen (pre-filter) captures moderate-sized particles.
3-4 The dual, high performance multi-function cartridges further capture pollutants
utilizing three combined technologies:
* Particulate control (High Efficiency Particulate Air - HEPA - component).
* Smoke and odour control (carbon absorption component)
5- Chinese herbal filter
6-7 Air is further enhanced with fresh fragrance (6), optional. The unit's anion
technology (7) introduces healthy, natural ions into the air.

Using your healthy air cleaner
Your new healthy air cleaner comes ready to use. The unit’s particle screen and multi-
function cartridges are already installed. Simply follow these easy steps to begin using your
healthy air cleaner.
1. Place the unit in safe, dry location about 3-4 feet off the ground.
2. If you wish to use the optional fragrance function proceed as follows; otherwise skip
to step 3. Press gently on the fragrance compartment lid. This is part of the top grill
assembly, and is inset into the right side of the grill. Once pressed the cover should
release and pop up. Remove and set this cover aside. Next, take out the fragrance
canister inside and remove its slotted cap. Remove and discard the canister’s inner
lid, and put slotted cap back onto the canister. Return the canister to the fragrance
compartment and reinstall the fragrance compartment cover. Make sure it “catches”
and fits snugly in place.
3. Plug in the unit.
4. To turn the unit on, simply press the “POWER” button on the front.
5. To activate the anion cleaning function, simply press “ANION”. It is recommended
that this be on whenever using your new air purifier.
6. Select a speed setting (“SPEED”) by choosing high (H), medium (M), or low (L).
Press the button repeatedly until the desired setting indicator lights. The constant
clean setting (L) is useful for continuous cleaning, and is quiet enough for use in
bedroom at night.
7. To choose a timed program, select an interval using the “time” button. This may be 2,
4, or 8 hours. Press the button repeatedly until the desired time interval indicator
lights. If a time interval is not selected the unit will operate continuously.
8. Each of the remote control buttons correspond to a healthy air cleaner function. This
allows you to directly access a specific function without “cycling through” the options
as you would if were using the buttons on the unit. For example, to select the 8 hours
time setting, you could simply press the “8h” (8) button on the remote control. To
activate anion technology, you would press “ANION”. The use of the remote control is
optional; the healthy air cleaner can be fully operated either with or without it.
Care and cleaning guidelines
Your healthy air cleaner is designed to be long lasting and easy to care for. Just follow these
steps.
The healthy air cleaner has only two components that should require regular attention. These
are the particle screen and the dual, multifunction cartridges. The particle screen is reusable
and only needs periodic cleaning. The long-lasting multi-function cartridge should be
replaced about every 6-12 months or as indicated.
Your unit also comes with a fragrance canister; however, this is optional and is not required
for the unit’s successful operation. Before opening or cleaning the unit, always unplug the
unit from the wall outlet first.
1. For access instructions to replace the fragrance canister, follow the instructions under
“using your healthy air cleaner”. Note that any similar type of fragrance may be used.
Such replacements often may be found locally, particularly in automotive parts and
accessory stores.
2. You will want to clean the unit’s particle screen (pre-filter) about once a month or
when indicated. To clean the unit’s particle screen (pre-filter), you should first remove
the air intake cover (side grill). The release catch is at the bottom of the grill. To
remove the cover, inspect the bottom catch carefully, and then gently lift up on it

slightly to release the cover. The particle screen (pre-filter) is the dark grey material
located directly against the intake cover grill. Remove the particle screen (pre-filter)
and rinse with clean, warm tap water. Do not use detergent or cleaning solutions.
Gently squeeze out excess moisture but do NOT twist or “wring out” the material.
Allow the particle screen to dry fully before placing it back inside the unit.
3. To replace the unit’s dual multi-function cartridges, you will need to remove the air
intake cover as described above. You will see one cartridge inside the unit. If the
cartridges colour appears similar to the indicator below, this indicates replacements
are needed. When replacing these, you will need to slide the cartridge completely
“up”. Please make sure that the white “pleated” sides of the cartridge face out toward
the intake cover grill.

Safe operation
The healthy air cleaner is made using the finest electronic parts and high quality
components. Always observe standard safety guidelines when using your purifier.
1. Only operate the unit in a safe, dry environment.
2. Never open, move, or attempt to clean the unit while operating. Always unplug the
unit before doing so.
3. Do not insert objects through the grill openings.
4. Never attempt to modify, disassemble or repair the unit yourself.
5. Do not operate the unit near or around water or damp areas to reduce the risk of
electric shock. Similarly, do not handle the unit with wet hands.
6. Do not operate or place the machine near flammable materials, liquids, or gases
of any kind.
7. Keep away from children and always supervise the unit when in use.
8. To reduce the risk of personal injury, shock, or fire, do not use an extension cord.
Carefully examine the unit’s cord before use to make sure it is not damaged and it
is intact. Do not use the unit if otherwise.
9. Do not use the unit if any of its parts may be damaged or missing.
10. This unit is intended for normal indoor residential use only.
11. Never immerse the unit in water or use solvents to clean.
12. If you or anyone in your household may have a sensitivity to very low ozone
(<0,04ppm), consult with your physician before using this or any similar device.
Small amounts of ozone are helpful for bacteria and germ control.
13. Always ensure that both the air intake and air outlet are never obstructed. Do not
allow objects to block either opening.
14. This machine is not a medical device and is not intended as a treatment for any
medical condition.
15. Check the unit often and clean as needed to prevent dirt accumulation which
might otherwise reduce efficiency or pose fire risk.
16. Do not attempt to operate a malfunctioning unit. If it is safe to do so, unplug it
immediately.

17. Please ensure that the fragrance canister is not available to children. This is not
edible and may cause sickness or serious injury if consumed.
18. Before operating the unit horizontally (laying on its back), first remove the
fragrance canister. Use the fragrance function only when upright.

Quick tips
For a quick ait refresh, run the unit on the high (H) speed setting for 30 minutes, then
adjust it to continuous clean (L).
The “continuous clean” setting is the low (L) setting. This setting quietly and
effectively cleans your air non-stop. It is also quiet and effectively to run in a bedroom
at night.
For heavy duty air cleaning, try operating the unit on the high (H) speed setting
combined with the time setting.
The healthy air cleaner “remembers” your favourite settings as long as it remains
plugged in. Just press the “POWER” button to resume cleaning.
Common Q&A
Q: Should I leave the unit on all the time?
A: Some people operate their units continuously, while others simply turn them on from
time to time as needed. This is entirely up to you.
Q: Is it okay to use the unit with my windows open?
A: Yes. However, remember that when you introduce new air into a room, you also
introduce pollutants as well. These will take time to clear. Thus, the optimal
environment is one in which the air is controlled (windows closed). In either case,
however, you can always benefit from using your healthy air cleaner.
Q: Can I operate the unit on the floor?
A: Since your primary air space is higher up, it is always better to use a purifier in a
higher location (about 3 to 4 feet above the floor level is generally ideal).
Q: Is it best ton place an air purifier in each room?
A: Since doors and walls block the flow of air, you will typically see much better results if
you place a purifier in each room you wish to cover. No air purifier of any type can
effectively work through walls, doors, or furniture, so the use of multiple compact air
purifiers will give you the best results. This is easy to accomplish with the use of the
healthy air cleaner.
