MP420FM/MP422FM Sweex Blizzard MP4 Player incl. FM and Digital Camera
Introduction
• Do not expose the Sweex Blizzard MP4 Player to extreme temperatures. Do not place the device in direct sunlight or in the direct vicinity of
heating elements.
• Do not use the Sweex Blizzard MP4 Player in extremely dusty or moist surroundings.
• Protect the device against powerful shocks or jolts - they may damage the internal electronics.
• Never attempt to open the device yourself - it will cause the warranty to lapse.
Software Installation
The Sweex Blizzard MP4 Player has 3 functions. No drivers are required for the MP4 and camera elements. The drivers on the Sweex CD ROM
enable you to use the MP4 player as a webcam.
With the Sweex MP4 Tool you can convert different types of video files, so that they can be played on the Sweex Blizzard MP4 Player: AVI, MPG,
MPEG, VOB, MOV, WMV, ASF, DAT, MP4, MTV. This software is freeware which means that Sweex will not offer any support.
Insert the Sweex CD-ROM in the CD-ROM player in order to install the software. The CD-ROM will start automatically.
Transferring files to the Sweex Blizzard MP4 Player
Connect the MP4 player to your computer using the USB cable supplied. Windows will detect the device, allocate it 2 drive letters and refer to it as a
Removable disk. Now you can manage your music and video files via Windows Explorer.
If you have a T-Flash card, you can approach it via the second drive letter.

Using the Sweex Blizzard MP4 Player
To switch off the Sweex Blizzard MP4 Player, you must press the Power button for three seconds. After you have switched on the MP4 player,
the menu will appear.
Select one of the menu items by briefly pressing the Play button. Briefly press Power to return to the previous menu item.
The options of the main menu are:
Music Player : playing music files
Cinema : playing video files
FM Radio : FM Radio
E-Book : reading text files
Multi Record : making pictures and videos
Image Browse: viewing images
Games : gaming
Explorer : managing folders and files
Tool Box : webcam activation, voice recording, settings and information
Playing music
For music, select the menu option Music Player and press Play. Press Play to play back and pause. The up and down buttons enable you to skip to

the next or previous file. By clicking left or right, you adjust the volume. When playing back music, you can use the Menu button to enter the menu
in order to select other options, such as repeat functions and equalizer settings.
If you press the Play button for three seconds you can select Keep Playing on. The music will continue to play if you return to the main menu.
If you press the AB/Rec button for three seconds, you can display the music files in a play list. You can change this list by adding or removing files
to and from the play list.
Playing video files
For video, select the menu option Cinema and press Play. Press Play briefly to play back and pause. You can stop the file by holding Play for three
seconds. The up and down buttons enable you to skip to the next or previous file. By clicking left or right, you adjust the volume.
Recording sound
If you want to record sound, select the menu option Tool Box. Press Play to select Audio Recorder in the menu.
You can also record sound from the main menu by holding the AB/Rec button for three seconds.
Briefly press Play if you wish to end the recording. The recorded files are numerically stored in the Audio file and the player’s Record.
If you wish to play back the recorded files, go to the Explorer menu or the Tool Box, then Audio Recorder, then Manager.
The FM Radio
For the FM Radio select menu option FM Radio. Press Play for 3 seconds to pause the radio, and hold it briefly to restart it. The up and down
buttons enable you to skip to the next or previous frequency. You can carry out an automatic search by holding the left or right button for 3 seconds.
The menu has options that enable you to automatically select all pre-set stations or to do this manually. Use the Play button to go to the next pre-set
station while listening.
The built-in camera
Go to Multi Record to make photographs and videos using the built-in camera. In this menu, press Menu again to select photographs or videos and
to select the settings. By pressing Play briefly, you take a photograph or start filming.
The webcam
Go to Tool Box, select PC Camera and briefly press Play. A message will appear, prompting you to connect the USB cable supplied to the MP4 player
and a USB port on your computer. The computer will automatically ask for drivers.

Select No, not this time and click Next.
In the following screen, select the option to install from a specific location and click on Next.
In the next screen, select Browse in order to enter the location of the drivers. The webcam drivers can be found on the Sweex CD-ROM, in the
Drivers folder.
On the Sweex CD-ROM you will find Amcap. This programme enables you to view the image of the webcam. Copy this file to a random location on
your computer and double-click it.
You can switch off the MP4 player by holding the Power button for 3 seconds. Do this from the main menu.
You can charge the MP4 player via a free USB port on the computer, using the USB cable supplied.
Warranty
All Sweex products are warranted for three years. We do not grant support or warranties for any software and/or (rechargeable) batteries included.
Settlement of guarantee only takes place via the dealer where you have purchased the product in question.
The rightful owner has and retains title to all brand names and related rights mentioned in this manual.
