INSTALLATION
Install the pump at the right distance from the base to minimize the distance between the suction point and pump.
Install the pump in a ventilated and dry place. The motor requires air to flow freely around it.
Install the pump so that the external disconnect switch is easily visible and accessible and located close to the pump.
Install a proper ground connection
Fit a 30mA GFCI in the circuit.
Ensure that the power supply voltage matches the voltage on the motor.
Replace all covers before operation.
OPERATION
If the pump is in a flooded suction installation the pump will prime itself when the suction and discharge valves are open.
If the pump is installed above the water level the pump needs to be properly primed prior to start up.
Open the strainer cover and fill strainer housing with water to suction pipe level.
Check the gasket on the cover and replace the strainer cover and secure.
Open all suction and discharge valves as well as air bleed on filter.
Turn on power and allow a reasonable time for priming.
If pump does not start see Troubleshooting Guide.
MAINTENANCE
Clean the strainer basket regularly. Inspect the strainer cover and strainer basket for any damage. Replace as necessary.
The pumps have self-lubricating motor bearings and shaft seals. No lubrication is necessary.
Keep motor clean. Insure air vents are free from obstruction.
Depending on the operating conditions the seals will need replacement as they wear over time.
Please contact your local agent or dealer for any repair, maintenance and spare parts. Provide the pump and motor details.
