1.4. Modes
Game mode –Pebby is on and used for the game;
Sleep mode –Pebby is off and waiting for a remote connection;
Idle mode –Low power operation mode. Pebby is on, but it's not
currently used;
Busy mode –This status shows that somebody wake up robot with
shake. This status can be seen with the help of Dockstation in Pebby
app.

2. Getting Started
2.1. Installing the application
To start working with Pebby you need to install the Pebby
application

Then you need to log in (enter your login and password) or register
an account;
Registration is possible via the social network or via your email.
2.2. First start
Get the Pebby robot out of the box;
Pebby should have enough charge for the first power-up. Otherwise,
you need to charge it. (see step 3);
Then open the robot carefully: to do this, remove the top panel (see
Photo 1);

You will see toggle switch ON / OFF which needs to be switched to
ON mode (see Photo 2);
The robot will turn on immediately after switching the toggle switch;
Color indication of a successful start: when turned on, the robot
blinks twice, then lights up green;
Close the Pebby panel and place it in the sphere. Check the sphere
lock is securely closed (see Photo 3);
In the future, you no longer need to switch the toggle switch to turn
on the robot. Just spin the robot twice to turn it on;
After turning on, the robot will provide a WiFi network called "Pebby-
****", where the last 4 numbers correspond to the first 4 numbers
of the unique identifier (id) of the given robot. You can connect to
the network using the password 12345678;

Next, on the application central screen, please, click the "Select
Pebby network" button;
The button appears, if the robot successfully connects to the WiFi
network (in the smartphone settings panel);
Now, to start the game, click the "Connect" button on the appeared
button;
After disconnecting from Pebby - **** network, this robot
disappears from the application screen.
2.3. Power off
To stop working with Pebby, you must turn it off;
Turn Pebby off means to put it into a sleep mode. To do this, please,
use the button “shutdown” of the robot in the application settings
while playing;
If the robot is not connected within 5 minutes, it automatically goes
to a sleep mode;
Color indication of a successful shutdown: when turns off, the robot
blinks purple. Then, the laser starts blinking.

3. Charging
Due to temperature rise inside the robot during the game mode
charging isn’t possible for safety reasons. To start charging, please
change it in sleep mode;
You can charge Pebby through a USB cable by connecting it to a
power supplier source (5V);
Also, you can use the wireless charger for Pebby –Dockstation
(comes with the kit);
To charge Pebby, please, connect Dockstation to the power supply
and place the Pebby robot it in) (see photo 4).
Color indication of a successful charge:
Pebby - blinks blue;
Dockstation –(connected to power supply) LED –blue.
Dockstation automatically stops charging Pebby when it is fully
charged.

4. Remote connection
This allows you to access your robot from any place remotely;
Remote connection requires the Internet connection on your
smartphone;
To have a remote access you need to activate your Pebby, by linking
it to your account;
After successful activation, your activated robot will be displayed on
the application central tab;
Status card displays the latest information about the robot;
If any Dockstation does not detect the robot, it will be marked with
the status "Not available";
If you want to connect Pebby click on the "Connect" button, a
remote game session will be created. The button will be available if
the robot is located near the working DockStation. (see 4.1., 4.2.);
To end a remote game session, use the button shutdown of the
robot in game mode settings in your application;
To play with remote connection, you need first configure
Dockstation, prepare Pebby. (see the steps below 4.1, 4.2, 4,3).
In the remote mode, if there is no WI-FI configuration, Pebby
immediately turns off;
4.1. Dockstation
Dockstation is an independent device. It interacts wirelessly with Pebby.

Dockstation produces a information about the robot while Pebby is in a
sleep mode. It is possible while Pebby is near Dockstation with an
Internet connection. Moreover, Dockstation provide remote connection
and control of several Pebby robots (up to 5) for simultaneous
connection to them by different users.
4.2. Dockstation network configuration
Here are the steps you should follow for a successful setting:
Since you previously connected the Dockstation to the power supply,
make sure that the indication light is on. Color indication of a
successful power connection –LED green;
Next, on the application central screen, please, click the icon of
Dockstation. Then click " Select Dockstation Network " button;
You need to connect to the wi-fi network ("Dockstation_***" with
the standard password (12345678)) that Dockstation provides;
If the connection is successful, you will see a form for setting the
parameters of the home network;
Please, select your home Wi-Fi network from the list, put in your
network password in the form provided in the application. If you
don't see your home network on the list or if you're using a hidden
network, connect to your home Wi-Fi by entering the name of your
network and password manually (keep in mind that it is case
sensitive);
To have a successful connection to the home network, please make
sure that your Wi-Fi network parameters are right.

Be careful, the Dockstation stops providing its Wi-Fi network, even if
you enter incorrect parameters.
Successful connection to home WiFi - Dockstation shows red LED.
If there are any configuration problems or you need to reset the
settings (reconfiguration of the wifi, etc.), use the "Reset" button on
the Dockstation. This button helps to return to the factory settings.
(see photo 5).
4.3. Robot
Pebby is a two-function robot for working with the user both directly and
remotely.
4.3.1 Activation
To activate and configure Pebby, perform the following steps:
In the application central screen, press the "+" button and read the
device’s QR code from your box;
To activate the robot, click the “Activate” button. If the robot was
not previously activated, the activation will be successfully
completed;

After successful activation, you can connect to Pebby remotely and
receive information about the robot (accessibility, current mode,
charge) that will be displayed on the screen. (see 4.2.);
One robot can be linked only to one account.
4.3.2. Network configuration
To play with Pebby you need to configure the network settings;
You need to check that the robot is in range of visibility from your
device, since the connection will be via Bluetooth;
It is important to note that the Bluetooth connection will only work in
local mode. In remote mode Pebby provides neither Bluetooth nor
Wi-Fi;
Then turn on the robot by spinning it two times;
When the robot turns on, go to the Pebby application, сlick on the
available robot and select Bluetooth connection;
After successful connection click on the robot and select the Network
Settings tab;
As the screen is loaded, you will see the name of the network whose
settings are currently set. If the robot is configured for the first time,
the name will be empty;
To set a new home network please, select your home Wi-Fi network
from the list, put in your network password in the form provided in
the application. If the connection is successful, you will receive the
notification with the suggestion to save the network. These settings
will be used the next time the robot wakes up remotely.

5. Joint use of the robot with different devices
The sharing of the Pebby robot by different users requires an installed
application on all devices that will be used. The required platform is iOS,
Android.
To manage the robot from different devices, please, log in through
one account, as one robot can be tied only to one account;
Simultaneous control of the robot during local or remote connection
by several users is not provided;
Different users can use the robot only in turn.

6. Remote update
Pebby can get a notification about a new update only during remote
mode (if it is connected to the internet). Robot synchronizes with web-
services for checking for it periodically. If Pebby gets the ability to
update, notification will appear on the game screen. We note that to
download and to set up the latest firmware, your Pebby should be
rebooted and woke up in the local mode by shake.
After it, to get the latest firmware version, please, follow these steps:
You need to check that the robot is in range of visibility from your
device, since the connection will be via Bluetooth;
Then turn on the robot by spinning it two times;
When the robot turns on, go to the Pebby application, click on the
available robot and select Bluetooth connection;
After successful connection click on the robot and select the Update
tab;
You will see the current firmware version;
If a new one is available, the "update robot" button will appear;
Press the button. After that a progress bar will appear with the
current percentage of the downloading update;
When the update is successfully downloaded install it;
Be careful not to download the update if Pebby has less than 30%
charge.
After finish downloading, robot will reboot automatically. During
reboot Pebby may blink blue and start working. To check current
firmware version for successful update, please go to 5th step.

7. Handling and safety
To avoid injury or damage, read all safety information before using
Pebby.
Do not scratch or damage the Pebby casing;
Do not point Pebby laser on people. Do not point the laser in a
dangerous direction, which can harm the pet (including windows,
heaters, etc.);
Do not expose Pebby to liquid, moisture, dust, excessive heat;
Do not leave in direct sunlight;
Do not allow the robot to overheat, do not use it for more than 30
minutes;
Do not allow the power cord to be jammed;
For the stable operation of the accessory - Dockstation, it is
recommended to use the original charging cable.

8. Led signals - Color indication
Pebby:
Color indication of a successful shutdown: when turns off, the robot
blinks purple;
Color indication of a successful start: when turned on, the robot
blinks twice, then lights up green;
Color indication of a successful charge: the robot blinks blue;
Color indication of overheating: the robot blinks red;
Color indication of the robot waiting for connection: green-yellow.
Dockstation:
Connected to power supply: LED –green;
Connected to home network: LED –red;
Exchanges data with the Pebby robot: LED –blue.

9. Troubleshooting
In work process might be problems like:
I don’t see my home Wi-Fi network (both devices)
This problem can occur if you are trying to connect your Pebby to either
a 5GHz frequency range network or a hidden network.
Unfortunately, Pebby doesn’t work with 5GHz networks, but since most
routers support both 5GHz and 2.4GHz frequencies, you should be able
to change it to 2.4GHz mode.
If you have a hidden network, on the last registration step you will be
prompted to enter your network SSID and password manually.
Don’t see robot in the app
If you cannot connect to your Pebby from your smartphone, try the
following:
Make sure that:
-You have the Internet connection on your device.
-Your Pebby is activated. Otherwise, repeat step 2.2
If Pebby is constantly «Not avaialble»

If you have such problem first:
-Unplug and plug your Dockstation back in;
-Сheck the parameters of the home network at Dockstation are
correctly installed (see 4.2.);
-Сheck Pebby is in range of visibility and blinks the laser.
Otherwise make sure that:
-The toggle switch is not switched to "OFF";
-Pebby is not fully discharged.
Pebby is displayed on the screen, but does not connect
remotely
-Сheck that there are no significant obstacles between Pebby and
Dockstation;
-Make sure that Pebby is configured (see 2.2);
-If your network is secured with a firewall or proxy, please make
sure it isn’t blocking the Pebby.
Pebby is linked to another account
Your Pebby can only be registered to one user account at a time. You
cannot register it to multiple accounts. If you need to register a Pebby
to a different account, delete it from the account it is currently
registered to, open ‘Home’ tab in the Pebby App swipe the robot and tap
‘Delete.’ Then, repeat step 4.3.

Please open the ‘Settings’ menu on your phone, then go to ‘Privacy’ and
then ‘Microphone,’ and make sure you have allowed the Pebby to use
your phone’s mic.
