Mount the rotating flange (DN 20 - DN 32) in the installation. Observe the enclosed
additional mounting instructions for the flange!
Mount the bypass valve to the rotating flange (DN 20 to DN 32). Make sure that
the flange seal is seated properly.
Remove the John-Guest connection angle from the brine pipeline. Seal the
John-Guest connection angle into the control head and connect the brine pipe
previously directed out of the salt tank with the angle. Note: use only Teflon
tape as a sealant for the control head‘s male thread (synthetic thread!).
Fit the angle socket to the control head‘s flushing water connection piece (use
only Teflon tape as a sealant).When dividing the enclosed transparent hose,
make sure to have adequate lengths for the flushing and overflow connections.
Connect the corresponding transparent hose to the mounted angle socket (as
the flushing water connection piece is submitted to pipe pressure, use the
enclosed hose clamp). Direct the hose end to the on-site drain connection.
Fit both threaded unions hand-tight to the control head‘s connections + .
Ensure that the socket (marked with a label) is fitted with the check valve to the
inlet . Note:make sure that the strap of the Hall sensor at the control head‘s
outlet remains in place. Connect the flexible connection hoses ( to and
to — observe the correct direction of flow!) to the bypass valve‘s connections
and the control head‘s threaded unions without applying stresses.
Use the clamp to fit the second transparent hose to the safety overflow. Direct
the hose end to the on-site drain connection
Use the enclosed water hardness testing equipment to determine the raw water
hardness.
Observe the air gap according to EN 1717 and DIN 1988, part 100.
Advice: we recommend our tundish 0214.00.908 (accessory). Prior to star-
ting the device, fill the salt tank with regeneration salt and add 5 liters of water
up to the maximum filling quantity.
Slowly open the shut-off valves of the bypass valve. Vent the system at a draw-
off point.
Plug the four connectors in the control head on the backside of the control unit.
Observe the correct pin assignment
Fit the control unit to the control head‘s base.
The installation is completed.

Plug in.
1. The system makes a self-
test, which lasts about 2
minutes.
2. After the self-test, touch
the screen and hold for a
few seconds. An hourglass
symbol will appear briefly.
3. Enter the password „41352“.
4. Select „Start-up“
Select „Date and time“.

5. Set the current values.
Confirm the setting with
„Exit“.
6. Select „raw water hard-
ness“.
7. Enter the measured value.
Confirm the setting with
„Exit“.

ness“.

9. Enter the desired value.
Confirm the setting by
pressing „Exit“.
10. Go to „Average water
consumption per day“.
Confirm the setting by
pressing „Exit“.
11. Enter the corresponding
value. Note: enter a referen-
ce value of 100l/person/day.
If it cannot be determined,
select the preset value.
Press „Exit“ twice to go
back to the menu.
12. Go back to the control level
and select „Parameters“.
Select „Water
pressure“.
13. Enter the operating
pressure.
Confirm the setting by
pressing „Exit“.
14. Trigger „Immediate Regene-
ration“, the flushing cycle
starts with C1.
15. The regeneration cycle can
be shortened manually
by means of „Play“: Press
the „Play“ key. The system
displays cycle C2. All cycles
can be selected in chrono-
logical order by activating
„Play“ (manual function
check of all cycles). This
procedure ends with the
cycle C 10. Afterwards,
the system automatically
returns to the basic display.
16. Activate the salt tank sym-
bol on the touchscreen.

17. Enter the salt amount filled in
(kg). Confirm this value by pres-
sing „Exit“.
Then, the display indicates the
salt amount (quantity still avai-
lable expressed in weeks). Note:
this indication is only a reference
value!
The system automatically returns
to the basic display.
18. To adjust the mixing valve, remove the cap of the
blending valve. Use a slotted screw driver.
19. Use the adjustment screw of the blending valve an a
screw driver to set the soft water hardness.
20. Set the adjustment screw of the blending valve (a)
to the desired hardness
If the water softener has to be remounted for
different reasons turn the blending valve (b) to the
„bypass“ position to ensure water supply.
Measure the blended water hardness by means of the measuring device and readjust the adjustment screw if necessary.
Mount the control head‘s protecting cover and the device cover.
The device is ready for operation. Trigger an immediate regeneration prior to leaving the installation.

Optional: Control of the LEX 1500 Connect Water Softeners via SYR App or PC
As all LEX controls are equipped with a LAN connection,
they are web-enabled.
There are various possibilities for the connection
to the LEX control unit, for instance an on-site
fixed network socket or a so-called power-LAN-
system (e.g. from Devolo).
As soon as a connection to the Internet has been made, this
will be displayed in level 1 — briefly press the display once to go
there.
Register the installation via http://syrconnect.de by means
of the SYR App on your tablet or smartphone or with your PC.
Follow the instructions.
In case of questions or problems, contact the SYR Connect
hotline under [phone].
Touch the SYR symbol to select the information overview of the
control unit.
The last line indicates the code for the further registration
of your device with SYR Connect.
You will find on the backside step by step instructions for
the access to the web-based potable water management
with SYR Connect and the registration of your LEX 1500
Connect for which you require the code mentioned above.

Using SYR Connect is very simple — whether for leakage detection, water treatment, hygiene control or
monitoring the heating system. The following screenshots will guide you through the steps that will give you access
to the web-based potable water management with SYR Connect. Manage various projects, control specific valves and
check the consumables — simply online! As an alternative to the SYR App, go to http://syrconnect.de and follow the
instructions in the web browser and register the device there.
