Installation LEX Plus 10 Connect Single Water Softener
Mount the universal flange (DN 20 - DN 32) in the
installation. Observe the mounting instructions for
the flange!
Note: The flange is not included in the delivery!
Mount the bypass and blending valve to the universal
flange. Make sure that the O-rings are seated properly.
Note: Use valve grease!
Remove the cover to fit the hose connections. Direct
the brine pipe and the connection cable from the salt
tank‘s rear along the left side to the front.
This will prevent the hose and connection cable from
becoming clamped.
When dividing the enclosed transparent hose, make
sure to have adequate lengths for the flushing and
overflow connections.
Use the hose clamp to fit the flushing water hose to
the control head‘s drain connection.
Use the tension clamp to mount the other
transparent hose to the safety overflow.
Direct the hose ends to the on-site drain connection
at a later stage.
Observe the air gap according to EN 1717 and DIN
1988, part 100.
Tip: Use the tundish included in the delivery.

Connect the brine pipe and the cable connections
to the solenoid valve.
(Observing the cable connections‘ polarity is
not required!)
Use the safety clamps to mount the flexible
connection hoses. Do not apply stresses. Connect
the hoses to the connections of the bypass /
blending valve and of the control head.
Attention: Always to and to .
Observe the correct direction of flow!
Note: Use valve grease!
Put the cover back in its position.
Connect the following electric cable connections
of the control head to the control unit on the
backside of the device‘s cover (start with the 12-
pin connector).
Attention: The white dots must face each
other.
- 12-pin - Connection cable for control head
- 9-pin -Connection cable for electrodes, LED
and solenoid valve
- 6-pin - Free, no connection
- 5-pin - Connection cable for bypass valve

1.
Put the bypass and blending valve
with the ball valve „A“ in the positi-
on „Operation“.
Plug in.
The system will emit an acoustic
signal and carry out a self-test.
6. Fill the content of a salt bag
(25 kg) in the salt tank.
Use both arrow keys to enter
the salt quantity filled in.
Confirm the entry with the tick
mark.
4. Select „Yes“.
Confirm the start-up by pres-
sing the tick mark.
5. Flushing and venting.
This process lasts about 4
minutes.

of water will be filled
automatically in the salt
tank.
Then, the device will
return automatically to the
operating mode and the
start screen!
The start-up is completed
and the device is ready for
operation.
10. Use the hardness testing
equipment to measure the
soft water hardness at any
draw-off point.
If necessary,
adjust with the blending
valve „B“ until reaching the
desired hardness.
Lock the blending valve „B“
again.
Confirm the entry
with the tick mark.
9. Attention: When delivered, the
blending is set to Soft (0° dH).
Release the locking mechanism
of the blending valve „B“ and
adjust the soft water hardness
by turning until the display
shows the desired hardness.
Confirm the entry with the tick
mark.
8. Open any draw-off point.
The displayed message
disappears automatically as
soon as a draw-off point is
opened.
7. Measure the raw water hard-
ness with the hardness testing
equipment included in the
delivery.
Use both arrow keys to enter
the measured raw water hard-
ness.
Confirm the entry
with the tick mark.

Optional extra: Control of the LEX Plus 10 Connect Water Softener via SYR App or PC
As all LEX controls are equipped with a LAN
connection, they are web-enabled.
There are various possibilities for the connection to
the LEX control unit - to be made at the cover‘s
underside -, e.g. an on-site fixed network socket or
a so-called power-LAN-system (e.g. from Devolo).
The Connect logo will be displayed as soon as a
connection to the Internet will be made. This can
also be verified in the menu „Settings / Network“ to
which you can access by touching the display.
Register the installation via http://syrconnect.de by
means of the SYR App on your tablet or smartphone
or with your PC. Follow the instructions.
For further details, contact the SYR Connect
Hotline [phone] (free of charge) or from
abroad the phone number [phone].
Touch the symbol „Status & Statistics“ in the menu
and then press „Device Status“.
The fourth line will indicate the code for the
further registration of your device with SYR
Connect.
You will find on page 8 step-by-step instructions
for the access to the web-based potable
water management with SYR Connect and the
registration of your LEX Plus 10 Connect for
which you will require the code mentioned
above.

heating system monitoring. The following screenshots will guide you through the steps that will give you access
to the web-based potable water management with SYR Connect. Manage various projects, control specific valves and
check the consumables — simply online! As an alternative to the SYR App, go to http://syrconnect.de and follow the
instructions in the web browser and register the device there.
