INTRODUCTION
Systemair have been manufacturing heat
recovery units since 1980. The units are
installed in thousands of buildings in Norway,
with increasing numbers in the U.K.
Ex erience from these installations is
incor orated in our unit, the VR-250 EH/B.
The latest results from the studies of the
indoor climate and its influence on our health
are taken into consideration, and great
em hasis is given to quality and erformance.
However, even after we have ut all our
ex erience into develo ing the unit, the final
result de ends on the quality of the total
installation and maintenance described in this
booklet.

GALVENĀ INFORMĀCIJA
Systemair VR-250 EH/B iekārta ir
nokom lektētas ie lūdes – nosūces iekārta, lai
attīrītu un uzsildītu ārējo gaisu un adotu
dzīvojamās tel ās, kā arī nosūktu tādu ašu gaisa
daudzumu no tualetēm, vannas istabām un citām
tel ām. Iekārta ir a rīkota ar rotējošā ti a
reku eratoru un kontroles sistēmu, kas nodrošina
siltuma ekonomiju, kā arī ekonomisku un drošu
eks luatāciju.
VR-250 EH/B iekārta ir s eciāli rojektēta
montāžai dzīvokļos un rivātmājās, kurām
ne ieciešama virtuves nosedze virs līts. Ar vārstu
alīdzību iekārtai ies ējams ieslēgt virtuves
nosūcēju. Virtuves nosūces gaiss uzreiz tiek
izmests ārā, novēršot tauku un iesārņojuma
nokļūšanu siltuma reku eratorā.
Iekārta automātiski ārslēdzas star ziemas un
vasaras darbības režīmu bez siltuma
reku erācijas.
GENERAL
Systemair VR-250 EH/B is a com lete ventilation
unit for su ly of filtered and reheated outdoor air
to residential areas and extract of a corres onding
amount of used air from wet rooms and kitchen.
The unit is equi ed with a heat exchanger block
to ensure safe and economical ventilation.
VR-250 EH/B is es ecally designed for installation
in flats and a artments where duct runs, smells
and ollution from the kitchen extract
(cookerhood) often is a great challange. A dam er
solution in the VR-250 EH/B makes is ossible to
connect the unit to cookerhood. The kitchen
extract goes directly to the extract fan avoiding
fumes and ollution to be led into the heat
exchanger.
The unit will automatically alternate between winter
o eration with heat recovery and summer
o eration without heat recovery.

DARBĪBAS PRINCIPS (Att. 3)
Iekārta tiek aprīkota ar vadības
paneli ar sekojošām funkcijām:
Gaisa plūsma (ventilatora ātrums)
Gaisa lūsmas izvēle ir 3 akā ēs. Ventilatora
ātrumu izvēlas s iežot ogas (4) un (5). Indikācijas
lam as (1), (2) un (3) rāda uzstādīto ventilatora
ātrumu.
Min. (1) Minimāla ventilācija. Lieto
brīvdienās, svētku dienās un laikā, kad tel ās
neatrodas cilvēki.
Norm. (2) Normāla ventilācija. Gaisa lūsmu
šim režīmam var izvēlēties (augsts/zems),
iestādot uz vadības aneļa (skatīt montāžas
instrukciju, Palaišana eks luatācijā).
Max. (3) Pasti rināta ventilācija. Lieto, kad ir
ne ieciešama a ildus ventilācija tel ās.
Pieplūdes gaisa temperatūra
Pie lūdes gaisa tem eratūru var izvēlēties 5
akā ēs. Pie lūdes gaisa tem eratūras
samazināšanu / alielināšanu iestāda s iežot
ogas (9) un (10). Indikācijas lam as (6), (7) un (8)
rāda iestādīto tem eratūru.

OPERATION (Fig. 3)
The unit is controlled from a separate
controller, with the following functions:
Airflow (Fan speed)
Switches for choise of airflow in 3 ste s.
Increase/ decrease fan s eed by ressing the
switches (4) and (5) alternatively. Lam signals
(1), (2) and (3) show set airflow.
Min (1)Minimum ventilation. To be used during
holidays or when the building is not in
use.
Norm (2)Normal ventilation adapted to the
building. Airflow for normal ventilation
can be chosen (high/low) by means of
setting on the control panel (see
installation instructions-Commissioning).
Max (3)Forced ventilation. Is used when extra
airflow is required.
Supply air temperature
Switches for choise of inlet air tem erature in 5
ste s. Su ly air tem erature is increased/ de-
creased by ressing switch (9) and (10)
alternatively. Lam signals (6), (7) and (8) show
set su ly air tem erature.

Kad siltuma atdeve no nosūces gaisa ir
ne ietiekama, lai nodrošinātu vajadzīgo
tem eratūru, automātiski ieslēdzas elektriskais
sildītājs ie lūdē.
Indikācijas lam a (14) deg, kad elektriskais
sildītājs ir ieslēgts. (Tiek rekomendēts ie lūdes
tem eratūru iestādīt ēc ies ējas zemāku,
tādējādi novēršot caurvēja roblēmas. Tas arī
ietekmē enerģijas un ventilācijas efektivitāti).
Filtri
Indikācijas lam a (11) deg, kad jāmaina filtri (E un
D, Att. 2.). Iekārta tur inās darboties, bet iekārtas
efektivitāte samazinās, kamēr netiks nomainīti filtri.
Uz vadības aneļa var iestādīt laika osmu star
filtru nomaiņu (6, 9 vai 12 mēneši) (skatīt montāžas
instrukciju). Rū nīcā ir iestādīts laika osms 9
mēneši. Pēc filtru nomaiņas, jā ārstāda
kal ošanas laiks (skatīt APKALPOŠANA, unkts
1).
„Vasaras režīms”
Kad svaigā gaisa tem eratūra ārsniedz
ie rasīto, rotējošais reku erators a stājas un
siltuma atguve tiek ārtraukta (vasaras režīms). Ja
nosūces gaisa tem eratūra ir zemāka ar ārgaisa
tem eratūru (ja ēkā ir uzstādīta gaisa dzesēšanas
sistēma), iekārta automātiski ieslēgs reku eratoru
(aukstā gaisa reku erācija). Tādējādi reku erators
dzesēs ārgaisu. Indikācijas lam a (12, zīm.nr. 3)
degs, kamēr iekārta strādās vasaras režīmā.
Manuālais Vasaras režīms
Pat ja ārējā gaisa tem eratūra ir zema, tel as
tem eratūra var būt augstāka nekā vēlams -
saulainā laikā ( avasarī un rudenī). Zemāku
tel as tem eratūru var iegūt iestādot ie lūdes
tem eratūru uz stāvokli 0 (nemirgo nevien no 6,
7 vai 8 lam ām), un tanī ašā laikā gaisa
daudzumu alielina uz MAKSIMĀLO. Lai
nodrošinātu ventilācijas iekārtas darbību
„Manuālā vasaras režīmā“, kad ir vēlama siltuma
atgūšana, automātiski ārstāda uz normālo
darbības režīmu, kad ie lūdes gaisa
tem eratūra kļūst zemāka ar 5 oC.
When heat recovery from the extract air is in-
sufficient to obtain set su ly air tem erature, an
electrical heater battery will automatically be
switched on. Lam signal (14) will light u when
the heater battery is in o eration. (In general it is
recommended to set su ly air tem erature as
low as ossible, avoiding the feeling of draught.
This gives the ultimate energy and ventilation
efficiency).
Filter
Lam signal (11) comes on when set o eration
time between changing of fresh air filter (E, fig. 2)
has ex ired. The ventilation unit can still be
o erated, but the efficiency will be reduced if the
filter is not re laced. O eration time (6, 9 or 12
months) between filter changes can be set on the
control anel (see installation instructions). From
factory, o eration time is set to 9 months. Reset
o eration time after having changed the filter
(see Maintenance, item 1).
"Summer operation"
When su ly air tem erature exceeds set
tem erature, the rotor will sto and there will be
no heat recovery (summer o eration). If the
extract air tem erature becomes lower than the
outdoor tem erature (f.ex. if the building has
cooling/air conditioning installed), the unit will
automatically switch to recovery (of the chilled
indoor air). The extract air will then cool down the
inlet air in the exchanger. Lam (12, fig. 3) lights
when the rotor is not in o eration.
Manual "summer operation"
Even if the outdoor air tem ersture is low, the
room tem erature could be higher than wanted,
due to sunshine (s ring and autumn). Lower
room tem erature can be obtained by setting the
su ly air tem erature to ste 0 (none of the
lam s 6, 7 or 8 are illuminated), and at the same
time increase the airflow to MAX.
To avoid that the ventilation unit remain in
"manual summer o eration" when heat recovery
is required, automatic re-set to normal o eration
will ha en when su ly air tem erature
becomes lower than 5 oC.

VIRTUVES NOSŪCE
Systemair VR-250 EH/B ir aredzēts, lai varētu
ievienot Systemair virtuves nosūci F 251-10/B.
Piezīme: Virtuves tvaiku nosūcei jābūt a rīkotai
ar noslēgvārstu (bez atvērumiem virtuves
amatventilācijai).
Pies iedu ventilācijas gadījumā no virtuves
nosedzes (gatavošanas laikā) vārsts nosūcējā
tiek atvērts ar slēdzi K, att.3. Tajā ašā laikā
ventilatora ātrums alielināsies uz MAX.
Nosūces gaiss no nosūcēja ies uzreiz cauri
nosūces ventilatoram nevis caur siltuma
reku eratoru. Nosūces ventilatora jauda tiek
vērsta galvenokārt uz virtuves nosedzi. Caur
nosūces difuzoriem tiek izvadīts mazākais gaisa
daudzums. Nosedzes vārsta darbību atvērtā
režīmā var iestādīt no 5 – 60min. Vārsts
aizvērsies automātiski saskaņā ar izvēlēto laiku
vai manuāli agriežot slēdzi K uz stāvokli .
„By ass“ vārsts iekārtā automātiski aizveras un
nosūces ventilators ārslēdzas uz normālo
ventilāciju (NORM).
Piezīme! Kad tiek izmantots virtuves nosūcējs,
nosūces gaiss lūdīs garām siltuma
reku eratoram un iestādītā ie lūdes
gaisa tem eratūra tiek nodrošināta ar
iekārtas elektrisko sildītāju.
Automātiskā vārsta aizvēršanās
virtuves nosedzē nodrošina enerģijas
efektivu izmantošanu ventilācijas
sistēmā.
Iekārtai jādarbojas pastāvīgi un apstādināt to
var apkalpošanas un servisa vajadzībām.
KITCHEN E TRACT
VR-250 EH/B is designed for connection of
Systemair cookehood, ty e 251-10/B (cano y) or
480-10/B (built-in).
Note! The cookerhood must be equi ed with a
dam er leaving no o ening in closed
osition (without o ening for basic
ventilation).
During forced ventilation from the cooker (when
cooking) the dam er in the cookerhood is
o ened from switch K, fig. 3. At the same time
the fans will automatically change to MAX fan
s eed. Extract from the cooker is led directly
through the extract fan, and not through the heat
exchanger. The ca acity of the extract fan is
then rimarily used for extract from the cooker,
but a minor airflow is maintained through the
extract louvers. The o ening time for the
cookerhood dam er can be set from 5 to 60
minutes. The dam er closes automatically
according to chosen time, or manually by turning
switch K to . The by ass dam er in the unit will
close automatically and the extract fan will switch
to normal ventilation (NORM).
Note! When extract from the cooker is used the
extract air will by ass the heat exchanger,
and set su ly air tem erature is obtained
by means of electrical heater battery in the
unit. Automatic closing of the dam er in
the cookerhood ensures energy efficient
use of the ventilation system.
The system should operate continuously, and
only be stopped for maintenance and service.

BRĪDINĀJUMI
Lai novērstu elektrisko šoku, ugunsgrēku vai
citus bojājumus, kurus var izraisīt iekārtas
ne areiza lietošana, ir svarīgi ievērot sekojošos
norādījumus:
1. Iekārtai jābūt uzmontētai saskaņā ar
montāžas instrukciju.
2. Jāizolē elektro ieslēguma vietas irms siltuma
reku eratora iekārtas a kal ošanas.
3. Centrbēdzes žāvētājus nedrīkst slēgt klāt ie
ventilācijas sistēmas.
4. Pārliecināties, ka filtri ir uzstādīti tiem
aredzētajās vietās.
5. A kal ošana jāveic saskaņā ar visām
instrukcijām.
WARNING
In order to avoid electrical shock, fire or other
damage which might occur in connection with
faulty use and o eration of the unit, it is
im ortant to consider the following:
1. The system must be installed according to
installation instructions.
2. Insulate mains su ly before service or
cleaning of the heat recovery unit.
3. Tumble dryer must not be connected directly
to the ventilation system.
4. Make sure that filters are mounted in their
lace before running the system. See fig. 2.
5. Maintenance must be erformed according
to se arate instructions.
APKALPOŠANA (Att. 5)
Iekārtas VR-250 EH/B a kal ošana jāveic 3 – 6
reizes gadā. Atsevišķi no vis ārējās a ko es,
jāseko līdzi šādām norādēm:
1. Nomainīt āra/nosūces gaisa filtrus
(gaismas signāls vadības blokā) 1-2 rezes
gadā vai arī cik nepieciešams. Att. 5
Kabatu filtrus nav aredzēts tīrīt, bet gan
nomainīt, kad ne ieciešams.
Kal ošanas laiks filtram jā ārstāda ēc katras
nomainīšanas. Nos iest ogu 13 (Att. 3) uz
a mēram 5 sekundēm. Dzeltenā lam iņa (14) un
viena no zaļajām lam iņām (6, 7 vai 8, atkarībā
no izvēlētā kal ošanas laika) mirgos dažas
sekundes.
MAINTENANCE (Fig. 5)
Maintenance of the VR-250 EH/B should
normally be erformed 3 - 6 times a year. A art
from general cleaning the following should be
observed:
1. Changing extract/inlet filter (lamp signal
on control panel) 1 - 2 times per year or
as necessary) Fig. 5
The bag filters cannot be cleaned and must be
changed as necessary. (Contact your su lier
for new filter).
O eration time between filter changes must be
re-set after filter change. Press button 13 (fig.
3) for a x. 5 seconds. Yellow lam (14) and one
of the green lam s (6, 7 or 8, de ending on
chosen o eration time) will flash for a few
seconds.

Atkarībā no filtra stāvokļa, var būt ne ieciešams
nomainīt filtra kal ošanas laiku. Skatīt Montāžas
instrukciju – „Palaišana eks luatācijā“.
2. Siltuma rekuperatora pārbaude (reizi 3
gados) Att. 6
Pat ja rasītās norādes unktos 1 un 2 ir
iz ildītas, utekļi var nosēsties reku eratorā. Lai
nodrošinātu augstu siltuma reku erāciju, ir ļoti
svarīgi reku eratoru eriodiski izņemt no iekārtas
un iztīrīt. Tīrīt karstā zie jūdenī. Neizmantot
mazgāšanas līdzekļus, kas satur amonjaku.
Piezīme! Nodrošināt, lai mitrums nenokļūtu uz
rotora motoru.
3. Ventilatoru pārbaude (reizi 3 gados) Att. 7
Pat ja rasītās a kal ošanas norādes ir iz ildītas
(filtra nomaiņa), utekļi un tauki var nosēsties uz
ventilatoriem (4 un 5), tādējādi samazinot
efektivitāti. Ventilatorus var tīrīt ar drēbes gabalu
vai mīkstu birsti. Neizmantot ūdeni. Vaits irtu var
izmantot, lai notīrītu grūti notīrāmus nosēdumus.
Ļaut kārtīgi nožūt irms uzstādīšanas at akaļ.
4. Pieplūdes difuzoru un nosūces difuzoru
tīrīšana (kad nepieciešams) Att. 8
Sistēma adod svaigu gaisu uz tel ām un izmet
tel as gaisu ārā caur gaisa vadu sistēmu un
difuzoriem/restītēm. Difuzori un izmešanas
restītes tiek montētas guļamistabās, dzīvojamās
istabās, mitrās tel ās, WC u.c. Difuzorus un
restītes ir jāmazgā karstā zie jūdenī. (Difuzorus
un žalūziju restītes nedrīkst nomainīt).

De ending on the condition of the filter, you
might need to change the o eration time for the
filter. See Installation instructions -
"Commissioning".
2. Checking the heat exchanger (every 3
years) Fig. 6
Even if the required maintenance in items 1 and
2 is carried out, dust will build u in the
exchanger block. It is therefore of vital
im ortance for the u kee of a high efficiency
that the exchanger block is removed from the
unit and cleaned eriodically. Wash in hot
soa y water. Do not use detergent containing
ammonia.
Note! Ensure that the rotor motor is not
ex osed to moisture.
3. Checking the fans (every 3 years) Fig. 7
Even if the required maintenance, such as
cleaning/changing of filters is carried out, dust
and grease will slowly build u inside the fans
(4 and 5). This will reduce the efficiency. As
necessary the fans can be ulled out for
cleaning with a soft brush. Do not use water.
White s irit can be used to remove obstinate
settlements. Allow to dry ro erly before
remounting.
4. Cleaning extract louvres and inlet
diffusers (as necessary) Fig. 8
The system su lies fresh air to your home and
extracts the used indoor air via the duct system
and diffusers/louvres. Diffusers and louvres are
mounted in ceilings/walls in bedrooms, living
room, wetrooms, WC etc. Remove diffusers
and louvres and wash in hot soa y water as
required. (Diffusers/ louvres must not be
exchanged).

ieņemšanas restīti un tādējādi samazināt ražību.
Jā ārbauda gaisa ieņemšanas restīti un iztīrīt, ja
ne ieciešams.
6. Gaisa vadu sistēmas pārbaude (reizi 5
gados) Att. 10
Putekļi un tauki var nosēsties gaisa vados, at
tad, ja ir veikta ne ieciešamā a ko e (filtru
nomaiņa). Tādējādi tiek samazināta instalācijas
efektivitāte. Gaisa vadu trasējums tādēļ ir jātīra
vai arī jānomaina, ja ne ieciešams. Cinkotā
skārda gaisa vadus drīkst tīrīt ar karstā
zie jūdenī izmērcētu suku caur difuzoru/restīšu
atvērumiem vai s eciālām tīrīšanas lūkām (ja ir
uzmontētas).
PIEZĪME! Jumta gaisa izmešanas ierīce
jā ārbauda reizi gadā un jāiztīra, ja
ne ieciešams. (att. 11).
Virtuves nosūces lietošanai un apkalpošanai
skatīt atsevišķas instrukcijas.
5. Checking the fresh air intake (Twice a
year) Fig. 9
Leaves and ollution could lug u the air
intake grille and reduce the ca acity. Check
the air intake grille at least twice a year, and
clean as necessary.
6. Checking the duct system (every 5
years) Fig. 10
Dust and grease settlements will, even if
required maintenance such as cleaning/
changing of filters is being carried out, build
u in the duct system. This will reduce the
efficiency of the installation. The duct runs
should therefore be cleaned/ changed when
necessary. Steel ducts can be cleaned by
ulling a brush soaked in hot soa y water,
through the duct via diffuser/louvre o enings
or s ecial ins ection hatches in the duct
system (if fitted).
Note!In addition, the roof unit must be
checked once a year, and cleaned as
necessary (fig. 11).

separate instructions.

BOJĀJUMU NOVĒRŠANA (Att. 7)
Ja rodas kādas roblēmas ar iekārtas
darbību, irms kontaktēties ar servisa
kom āniju, ārbaudīt sekojošos unktus.
1. Ventilators (ventilatori) neieslēdzas
Pārbaudīt vai visi kontakti un fāzes ir
ievienotas (strāvas ieslēgums un ventilatora
kontakti)
2. Samazināts gaisa daudzums
a) Pārbaudīt gaisa daudzuma iestādījumu
vadības anelī.
b) Vai ne ieciešams nomainīt filtrus?
c) Vai ne ieciešams tīrīt difuzorus/restītes?
d) Vai ne ieciešama ventilatoru/reku eratora
tīrīšana?
e) Vai nav aizs rostota svaigā gaisa
ieņemšana?
f) Gaisa vadu sistēma. Pārbaudīt gaisa vadu
redzamos bojājumus un iesārņojumus.
g) Pārbaudīt difuzoru/restīšu atvērumus.
3. Iekārtu nav iespējams kontrolēt
(kontroles funkcijas nedarbojas)
Pārstādīt kontroles funkcijas atslēdzot iekārtu
no strāvas uz 20-30 sekundēm.
TROUBLESHOOTING (Fig. 7)
Should roblems occur, lease check or
correct the items below before calling your
service re resentative.
1. Fan(s) do not start
Check that all fuses and lugs are connected
(mains su ly and fan lugs).
2. Reduced airflow
(a) Check setting of airflow on control anel.
(b) Change filter required?
(c) Cleaning of diffusers/louvers required?
(d) Cleaning of fans/exchanger block
required?
(e) Is roof unit/air intake clogged?
(f) Duct system. Check visible duct runs for
damage and/or build-u of dust/ ollution.
(g) Check diffuser/louver o enings.

4. Auksts pieplūdes gaiss.
a) Pārbaudīt ie lūdes gaisa tem eratūru uz
vadības aneļa.
b) Pārbaudīt vai ugunsgrēka termostats ir
aktivizēts. Ja ne ieciešams, ārstādīt
nos iežot sarkano ogu "I", kas atrodas
iekārtā (Att.7).
c) Pārbaudīt vai nav jāmaina nosūces filtrs.
d) Pārbaudīt vai reku erators rotē.
5. Troksnis/vibrācija
a) Notīrīt ventilatora lā stiņas.
Izņemt ventilatoru ārā un ārbaudīt vai
skrūves, kas tur ventilatoru, ir ietiekoši
ciešas.
4. Cold supply air
a) Check set su ly air tem erature on the
control anel
b) Check if fire thermostat is still alert. If
necessary, reset by ressing the red
button (B) in the unit.
c) Check if the extract filter needs changing
d) Exchanger block does not rotate
5. Noise/ vibrations
a) Clean fan im ellers.
b) Pull the fans out and check that screws
holding the fans are tightened.
