for installing the purifier in the
receiving equipment, its safety
instructions – according to the
relevant standard –must be
described in the user manual of
the receiving appliance.

ÌThe device contains a sharp needle that carries high voltage and also
might cause injury. Never insert a finger or any other unprotected body part
into the device! Use only isolated tools when servicing or testing the device!
ÌOnly qualified and licensed HVAC technicians may install this device.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The TADIRAN AIROW 1
TM
, converts moisture (H
2
O) and Oxygen (O
2
) into
hydrogen peroxide (H
2
O
2
). Hydrogen peroxide is capable of effectively
treating the polluted air in the air-conditioned space. The hydrogen peroxide
destroys bacteria, viruses and mold, improving the overall indoor air quality in
the conditioned space.
The principle of operation is based on the formation of an electric field
between a medical needle located in the center of the device and a metal
cylinder that surrounds the inside of the device. The device includes an
automatic needle cleaning mechanism that operates when the electronic
circuit detects the need for cleaning. You will hear a clicking sound when the
automatic cleaning mechanism is activated.
HOW TO OPERATE THE DEVICE?
The TADIRAN AIROW 1
TM
operates when it is connected to the power supply,
and it immediately starts purifying the air entering the air-conditioned space.
When activated, a green LED indicator inside the device lights up to indicate
the proper operation. A red LED indicates a malfunction.

INSPECTION PRIOR TO INSTALLATION
After carefully opening the carton, unpack and inspect your TADIRAN AIROW 1TM.
Check the following:

IMPORTANT!
Air Flow Direction - an arrow on the TADIRAN AIROW 1
TM
device indicates the
correct air direction. Ensure the device is oriented according to the arrow’s
direction.
Installation Location - The TADIRAN AIROW 1
TM
is installed inside the indoor
air conditioning unit.
• Installation Direction - The device is to be installed either in the return
air side, the air supply, or in the indoor unit between the filter and the coil
where the air flows through the TADIRAN AIROW 1
TM
device in the arrow
direction.
• Environmental Conditions - To assure proper operation, verify that the
temperature surrounding the device is within -5°C to +55°C and relative
humidity is kept within 20% to 90%, non-condensing.
• Device Footprint – The footprint of the device is 13.6x10.4x7.5cm.
• Clearance - Allow 5-centimeter clearance for air inlet and outlet at both
devices’ openings. Ensure the surface area of installation is free of dust,
cables, and any other interference.
• Air Flow Velocity - To assure proper operation, verify the air velocity
through the device will be 1.6 m/Sec or above.

supply before performing the installation or before servicing the device.

INSTALLATION
This section provides step-by-step instructions on how to install the
TADIRAN AIROW 1TM within an HVAC indoor unit.

Connect the connector of the DC Power Supply cable to the TADIRAN
AIROW 1
TM
DC Power Connector.
Following is a diagram of the electrical connections, describing the
TADIRAN AIROW 1
TM
connections to the electrical box. To power the
device only when the indoor unit is on, connect the AC power supply to
the indoor unit fan AC supply or compressor control.
NOTE!
ÌTo stop the device operation, disconnect the DC power supply.
NOTE!
ÌThe power supply has the mean for disconnection of the
supply mains.
ÌThese means for the disconnection of the supply mains must
be incorporated in the fixed wiring in accordance with the
wiring rules.
ÌAn optional external switching of the DC supply to the
TADIRAN AIROW 1
TM
is available on the DC positive wire.

Mount the TADIRAN AIROW 1
TM
inside the ductwork on a metal
surface using the magnets
attached to the base of the
device. This was designed to
assure a simple installation.
No drilling is required. Assure
that you have the device-
oriented properly for airflow
per the arrow direction.

INSTALLATION USING A BRACKET

Use this installation option where
the duct wall is coated with
insulation material or where it is
required to locate the device closer
to the center of the airflow, to
obtain the necessary air velocity
of 1.6 M/Sec.

VERIFICATION
A green light will appear immediately after connecting the DC power.
This indicates the proper operation of the device.

Activating Warranty
To activate the 3-year warranty, follow the instructions on the
warranty certificate.
In case of a product issue that is under warranty, please be prepared
to provide the following:
The Serial Number (stamped on warranty card).
A Copy of the Bill of Sale or Invoice.
